1This is whatכֹּה־koh-H3541the LORDיְהוָה֮Yah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559to Cyrusלְכ֣וֹרֶשׁle.Kho.reshH3566אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834His anointedלִמְשִׁיחוֹ֮lim.shi.ChoH4899,whose right handבִֽימִינ֗וֹvi.mi.NoH3225I have graspedהֶחֱזַ֣קְתִּיhe.che.Zak.tiH2388to subdueלְרַד־le.rad-H7286nationsגּוֹיִ֔ם וּמָתְנֵ֥יgo.Yim u.ma.te.NeiH1471 H4975before himלְפָנָיו֙le.fa.NavH6440,to disarmאֲפַתֵּ֑חַ'a.fa.Te.achH6605kingsמְלָכִ֖יםme.la.KhimH4428,to openלִפְתֹּ֤חַlif.To.achH6605the doorsדְּלָתַ֔יִםde.la.Ta.yimH1817before himלְפָנָיו֙le.fa.NavH6440,so that the gatesוּשְׁעָרִ֖יםu.she.'a.RimH8179will notלֹ֥אlo'H3808be shutיִסָּגֵֽרוּ׃yi.sa.Ge.ruH5462:

2“Iאֲנִי֙'a.NiH589will goאֵלֵ֔ךְ'e.LekhH1980before youלְפָנֶ֣יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440and levelאֲיַשֵּׁ֑ר'o.shirH3474the mountainsוַהֲדוּרִ֖יםva.ha.du.RimH1921;I will break downאֲשַׁבֵּ֔ר'a.sha.BerH7665the gatesדַּלְת֤וֹתdal.TotH1817of bronzeנְחוּשָׁה֙ne.chu.ShahH5154and cut throughאֲגַדֵּֽעַ׃'a.ga.De.a'H1438the barsוּבְרִיחֵ֥יu.ve.ri.CheiH1280of ironבַרְזֶ֖לvar.ZelH1270.

3I will giveוְנָתַתִּ֤יve.na.ta.TiH5414youthe treasuresאוֹצְר֣וֹת'otz.RotH214of darknessחֹ֔שֶׁךְCho.shekhH2822and the riches hiddenוּמַטְמֻנֵ֖יu.mat.mu.NeiH4301in secret placesמִסְתָּרִ֑יםmis.ta.RimH4565,so thatלְמַ֣עַןle.Ma.'anH4616you may knowתֵּדַ֗עte.Da'H3045thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588Iאֲנִ֧י'a.NiH589amthe LORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478,who callsהַקּוֹרֵ֥אha.ko.Re'H7121you by nameבְשִׁמְךָ֖ve.shim.KhaH8034.

4For the sakeלְמַ֙עַן֙le.Ma.'anH4616of Jacobיַעֲקֹ֔בya.'a.KoH3290My servantעַבְדִּ֣י'av.DiH5650and Israelוְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לve.Yis.ra.'ElH3478My chosen oneבְּחִירִ֑יbe.chi.RiH972,I callוָאֶקְרָ֤אva.'ek.Ra'H7121youby nameבִּשְׁמֶ֔ךָbish.Me.khaH8034;I have given you a title of honorאֲכַנְּךָ֖'a.kha.ne.KhaH3655,though you have notוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808known Meיְדַעְתָּֽנִי׃ye.da'.Ta.niH3045.

5Iאֲנִ֤י'a.NiH589am the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,and there is noוְאֵ֣יןve.'EinH369otherע֔וֹדodH5750;there is noאֵ֣ין'einH369Godאֱלֹהִ֑ים'E.lo.HimH430but Meזוּלָתִ֖יzu.la.TiH2108.I will equip you for battleאֲאַזֶּרְךָ֖'a.'a.zer.KhaH247,though you have notוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808known Meיְדַעְתָּֽנִי׃ye.da'.Ta.niH3045,

6so thatלְמַ֣עַןle.Ma.'anH4616all may knowיֵדְע֗וּye.de.'UH3045,from where the sun risesמִמִּזְרַח־ שֶׁ֙מֶשׁ֙mi.miz.rach- she.meshH4217 H8121to where it setsוּמִמַּ֣עֲרָבָ֔הu.mi.Ma.'a.ra.VahH4628,thatכִּי־ki-H3588there is noneאֶ֖פֶס'E.fesH657but Meבִּלְעָדָ֑יbil.'a.DaiH1107;Iאֲנִ֥י'a.NiH589am the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,and there is noוְאֵ֥יןve.'EinH369otherעֽוֹד׃odH5750.

7I formיוֹצֵ֥רyo.TzerH3335the lightאוֹר֙'OrH216and createוּבוֹרֵ֣אu.vo.Re'H1254the darknessחֹ֔שֶׁךְCho.shekhH2822;I bringעֹשֶׂ֥ה'o.SehH6213prosperityשָׁל֖וֹםsha.LomH7965and createוּב֣וֹרֵאu.Vo.re'H1254calamityרָ֑עRa'H7451.Iאֲנִ֥י'a.NiH589,the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,doעֹשֶׂ֥ה'o.SehH6213allכָל־khol-H3605these thingsאֵֽלֶּה׃ ס'E.lehH428.

8Drip downהַרְעִ֤יפוּhar.'I.fuH7491,O heavensשָׁמַ֙יִם֙sha.Ma.yimH8064,from aboveמִמַּ֔עַלmi.Ma.'alH4605,and let the skiesוּשְׁחָקִ֖יםu.she.cha.KimH7834pour downיִזְּלוּ־yi.ze.lu-H5140righteousnessצֶ֑דֶקTze.dekH6664.Let the earthאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776open upתִּפְתַּח־tif.tach-H6605that salvationיֶ֗שַׁעYe.sha'H3468may sproutוְיִפְרוּ־ve.yif.ru-H6509and righteousnessוּצְדָקָ֤הu.tze.da.KahH6666spring upתַצְמִ֙יחַ֙tatz.Mi.achH6779with itיַ֔חַדYa.chadH3162;Iאֲנִ֥י'a.NiH589,the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,have created itבְּרָאתִֽיו׃ סbe.ra.TivH1254.

9Woeה֗וֹיHoH1945to him who quarrelsרָ֚בravH7378אֶת־'et-H854with his Makerיֹ֣צְר֔וֹyo.tze.RoH3335—one clay potחֶ֖רֶשׂ אֶת־Che.res 'et-H2789 H854among manyחַרְשֵׂ֣י אֲדָמָ֑הchar.Sei 'a.da.MahH2789 H127.Does the clayחֹ֤מֶרCho.merH2563askהֲיֹאמַ֨רha.yo.MarH559the potterלְיֹֽצְרוֹ֙le.yo.tze.RoH3335, ‘Whatמַֽה־mah-H4100are you makingתַּעֲשֶׂ֔הta.'a.SehH6213?’Does your work sayוּפָעָלְךָ֖u.fa.'a.le.KhaH6467, ‘He has noאֵין־'ein-H369handsיָדַ֥יִםya.Da.yimH3027’?

10Woeה֛וֹיHoH1945to him who saysאֹמֵ֥ר'o.MerH559to his fatherלְאָ֖בle.'AvH1, ‘Whatמַה־mah-H4100have you begottenתּוֹלִ֑ידto.LidH3205?’or to his motherוּלְאִשָּׁ֖הu.le.'i.ShahH802, ‘Whatמַה־mah-H4100have you brought forthתְּחִילִֽין׃ סte.chi.LinH2342?’”

11Thusכֹּֽה־koh-H3541saysאָמַ֧ר'a.MarH559the LORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068,the Holyקְד֥וֹשׁke.Do.oshH6918One of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and its Makerוְיֹצְר֑וֹve.yo.tze.RoH3335: “Concerning things to comeהָאֹתִיּ֣וֹתha.'o.ti.YotH857,do you question Meשְׁאָל֔וּנִיshe.'a.Lu.niH7592aboutעַל־'al-H5921My sonsבָּנַ֛יba.NaiH1121,or instruct Meתְּצַוֻּֽנִי׃te.tza.Vu.niH6680inוְעַל־ve.'al-H5921the workפֹּ֥עַלPo.'alH6467of My handsיָדַ֖יya.DaiH3027?

12It is Iאָֽנֹכִי֙'a.no.KhiH595who madeעָשִׂ֣יתִי'a.Si.tiH6213the earthאֶ֔רֶץ'E.retzH776and createdבָרָ֑אתִי אֲנִ֗יva.Ra.ti 'a.NiH1254 H589manוְאָדָ֖םve.'a.DamH120upon itעָלֶ֣יהָ'a.Lei.haH5921.It was My handsיָדַי֙ya.DaiH3027that stretched outנָט֣וּna.TuH5186the heavensשָׁמַ֔יִםsha.Ma.yimH8064,and I ordainedצִוֵּֽיתִי׃tzi.Vei.tiH6680allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605their hostצְבָאָ֖םtze.va.'AmH6635.

13Iאָנֹכִי֙'a.no.KhiH595will raise upהַעִירֹתִ֣הֽוּha.'i.ro.Ti.huH5782Cyrusin righteousnessבְצֶ֔דֶקve.Tze.dekH6664,and I will makeאֲיַשֵּׁ֑ר'a.ya.SherH3474allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605his waysדְּרָכָ֖יוde.ra.KhavH1870straight.Heהֽוּא־hu'-H1931will rebuildיִבְנֶ֤הyiv.NehH1129My cityעִירִי֙'i.RiH5892and set My exilesוְגָלוּתִ֣יve.ga.lu.TiH1546freeיְשַׁלֵּ֔חַye.sha.Le.achH7971,but notלֹ֤אlo'H3808for paymentבִמְחִיר֙vim.ChirH4242orוְלֹ֣אve.Lo'H3808rewardבְשֹׁ֔חַדve.Sho.chadH7810,saysאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559the LORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of Hostsצְבָאֽוֹת׃ פtze.va.'otH6635.”

14This is whatכֹּ֣ה׀kohH3541the LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: “The productsיְגִ֨יעַye.Gi.a'H3018of Egyptמִצְרַ֥יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714and the merchandiseוּֽסְחַר־u.se.char-H5504of Cushכּוּשׁ֮kushH3568,along with the Sabeansוּסְבָאִים֮u.se.va.'ImH5436,menאַנְשֵׁ֣י'an.SheiH582of statureמִדָּה֒mi.DahH4060,will come overיַעֲבֹ֙רוּ֙ya.'a.Vo.ruH5674to youעָלַ֤יִךְ'a.La.yikhH5921and will beיִֽהְי֔וּyih.YuH1961yours;they will trudge behindאַחֲרַ֣יִךְ'a.cha.Ra.yikhH310youיֵלֵ֔כוּye.Le.khuH1980;they will come overיַעֲבֹ֑רוּya.'a.Vo.ruH5674in chainsבַּזִּקִּ֖יםba.zi.KimH2131and bow downיִֽשְׁתַּחֲוּוּ֙yish.ta.cha.VuH7812to youוְאֵלַ֤יִךְve.'e.La.yikhH413.They will confessיִתְפַּלָּ֔לוּyit.pa.La.luH6419to youאֵלַ֣יִךְ'e.La.yikhH413: ‘Godאֵ֛ל'elH410is indeedאַ֣ךְ'akhH389with you,and there is noוְאֵ֥יןve.'EinH369otherע֖וֹדodH5750;there is noאֶ֥פֶס'E.fesH657other Godאֱלֹהִֽים׃'E.lo.HimH430.’”

15Trulyאָכֵ֕ן'a.KhenH403Youאַתָּ֖ה'a.TahH859are a Godאֵ֣ל'elH410who hides Himselfמִסְתַּתֵּ֑רmis.ta.TerH5641,O Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,the Saviorמוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃mo.Shi.a'H3467.

16They will allכֻּלָּ֑םku.LamH3605be put to shameבּ֥וֹשׁוּBo.o.shuH954andוְגַֽם־ve.gam-H1571humiliatedנִכְלְמ֖וּnikh.le.MuH3637;the makersחָרָשֵׁ֖יcha.ra.SheiH2796of idolsצִירִֽים׃tzi.RimH6736will departהָלְכ֣וּha.le.KhuH1980togetherיַחְדָּו֙yach.DavH3162in disgraceבַכְּלִמָּ֔הva.ke.li.MahH3639.

17ButIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478will be savedנוֹשַׁ֣עno.Sha'H3467by the LORDבַּיהוָ֔הba.Yah.wehH3068with an everlastingעוֹלָמִ֑יםo.la.MimH5769salvationתְּשׁוּעַ֖תte.shu.'AtH8668;you will notלֹא־lo'-H3808be put to shameתֵבֹ֥שׁוּ וְלֹא־te.Vo.shu ve.lo'-H954 H3808or humiliatedתִכָּלְמ֖וּti.kal.MuH3637,toעַד־'ad-H5704agesע֥וֹלְמֵיol.meiH5769everlastingעַֽד׃ פ'AdH5703.

19I have notלֹ֧אlo'H3808spokenדִּבַּ֗רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696in secretבַסֵּ֣תֶרva.Se.terH5643,from a placeבִּמְקוֹם֙bim.kOmH4725in a landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of darknessחֹ֔שֶׁךְCho.shekhH2822.I did notלֹ֥אlo'H3808sayאָמַ֛רְתִּי'a.Mar.tiH559to the descendantsלְזֶ֥רַעle.Ze.ra'H2233of Jacobיַעֲקֹ֖בya.'a.KoH3290, ‘Seek Meבַקְּשׁ֑וּנִיva.ke.Shu.niH1245in a wastelandתֹּ֣הוּTo.huH8414.’Iאֲנִ֤י'a.NiH589,the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,speakדֹּבֵ֣רdo.VerH1696the truthצֶ֔דֶקTze.dekH6664;I sayמַגִּ֖ידma.GidH5046what is rightמֵישָׁרִֽים׃mei.sha.RimH4339.

20Comeוָבֹ֛אוּva.Vo.'uH935,gather togetherהִקָּבְצ֥וּhi.ka.ve.TzuH6908,and draw nearהִֽתְנַגְּשׁ֥וּ יַחְדָּ֖וhit.na.ge.Shu yach.DavH5066 H3162,you fugitivesפְּלִיטֵ֣יpe.li.TeiH6412from the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֑םha.go.YimH1471.Ignorantלֹ֣א יָדְע֗וּlo' ya.de.'UH3808 H3045arethose who carryהַנֹּֽשְׂאִים֙ha.no.se.'ImH5375אֶת־'et-H853idolsפִּסְלָ֔םpis.LamH6459of woodעֵ֣ץ'etzH6086and prayוּמִתְפַּלְלִ֔יםu.mit.pa.LimH6419toאֶל־'el-H413a godאֵ֖ל'elH410that cannotלֹ֥אlo'H3808saveיוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃yo.Shi.a'H3467.

22Turnפְּנוּ־pe.nu-H6437to Meאֵלַ֥י'e.LaiH413and be savedוְהִוָּשְׁע֖וּve.hi.va.she.'UH3467,allכָּל־kol-H3605the endsאַפְסֵי־'af.sei-H657of the earthאָ֑רֶץ'A.retzH776;forכִּ֥יkiH3588Iאֲנִי־'a.ni-H589amGodאֵ֖ל'elH410,and there is noוְאֵ֥יןve.'EinH369otherעֽוֹד׃odH5750.

23By MyselfI have swornנִשְׁבַּ֔עְתִּיnish.Ba'.tiH7650;truthצְדָקָ֛הtze.da.KahH6666has gone outיָצָ֨אya.Tza'H3318from My mouthמִפִּ֧יmi.PiH6310,a wordדָּבָ֖רda.VarH1697that will notוְלֹ֣אve.Lo'H3808be revokedיָשׁ֑וּב כִּי־ya.Shuv ki-H7725 H3588:Everyכָּל־kol-H3605kneeבֶּ֔רֶךְBe.rekhH1290will bowתִּכְרַ֣עtikh.Ra'H3766before Me,everyכָּל־kol-H3605tongueלָשֽׁוֹן׃la.ShonH3956will swearתִּשָּׁבַ֖עti.sha.Va'H7650allegiance.

24Surelyאַ֧ךְ'akhH389they will say of Meאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559, ‘In the LORDבַּיהוָ֛הba.Yah.wehH3068alone arerighteousnessצְדָק֣וֹתtze.da.KotH6666and strengthוָעֹ֑זva.'OzH5797.’”Allכֹּ֖לkolH3605who rageהַנֶּחֱרִ֥יםha.ne.che.RimH2734against Himwill comeיָב֣וֹאya.Vo'H935to Himעָדָיו֙'a.DavH5704and be put to shameוְיֵבֹ֔שׁוּve.ye.Vo.shuH954.

25In the LORDבַּיהוָ֛הba.Yah.wehH3068allכָּל־kol-H3605descendantsזֶ֥רַעZe.ra'H2233of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478will be justifiedיִצְדְּק֥וּyitz.de.KuH6663and will exultוְיִֽתְהַלְל֖וּve.yit.ha.LuH1984.
