2He madeוַיָּ֤שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760My mouthפִּי֙piH6310like a sharpחַדָּ֔הcha.DahH2299swordכְּחֶ֣רֶבke.Che.revH2719;He hid Meהֶחְבִּיאָ֑נִיhech.bi.'A.niH2244in the shadowבְּצֵ֥לbe.TzelH6738of His handיָד֖וֹya.DoH3027.He made Meוַיְשִׂימֵ֙נִי֙vay.si.Me.niH7760like a polishedבָּר֔וּרba.RurH1305arrowלְחֵ֣ץle.ChetzH2671;He hid Meהִסְתִּירָֽנִי׃his.ti.Ra.niH5641in His quiverבְּאַשְׁפָּת֖וֹbe.'ash.pa.ToH827.
4But Iוַאֲנִ֤יva.'a.NiH589saidאָמַ֙רְתִּי֙'a.Mar.tiH559, “I have laboredיָגַ֔עְתִּיya.Ga'.tiH3021in vainלְרִ֣יקle.RikH7385,I have spentכִלֵּ֑יתִיkhi.Lei.tiH3615My strengthכֹּחִ֣יko.ChiH3581in futilityלְתֹ֥הוּle.To.huH8414and vanityוְהֶ֖בֶלve.He.velH1892;yetאָכֵן֙'a.KhenH403My vindicationמִשְׁפָּטִ֣יmish.pa.TiH4941is withאֶת־'et-H854the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,and My rewardוּפְעֻלָּתִ֖יu.fe.'u.la.TiH6468is withאֶת־'et-H854My Godאֱלֹהָֽי׃'e.lo.HaiH430.”
5And nowוְעַתָּ֣ה׀ve.'a.TahH6258saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,who formed Meיֹצְרִ֤יyo.tze.RiH3335from the wombמִבֶּ֙טֶן֙mi.Be.tenH990to be His Servantלְעֶ֣בֶדle.'E.vedH5650,to bring Jacobיַֽעֲקֹב֙ya.'a.KoH3290backלְשׁוֹבֵ֤בle.sho.VevH7725to Himאֵלָ֔יו'e.LavH413,that Israelוְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לve.Yis.ra.'ElH3478H3808might be gathered to Himיֵאָסֵ֑ףye.'a.SefH622—for I am honoredוְאֶכָּבֵד֙ve.'e.ka.VedH3513in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֣יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,and My Godוֵאלֹהַ֖יve.lo.HaiH430isהָיָ֥הha.YahH1961My strengthעֻזִּֽי׃'u.ZiH5797—
6He saysוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559: “It is not enoughנָקֵ֨לna.KelH7043for You to beמִֽהְיוֹתְךָ֥mih.yot.KhaH1961MyServantעֶ֔בֶד'E.vedH5650,to raise upלְהָקִים֙le.ha.KimH6965אֶת־'et-H853the tribesשִׁבְטֵ֣יshiv.TeiH7626of Jacobיַעֲקֹ֔בya.'a.KoH3290,and to restoreלְהָשִׁ֑יבle.ha.ShivH7725the protectedH5336ones of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478.I will also makeוּנְתַתִּ֙יךָ֙u.ne.ta.Ti.khaH5414You a lightלְא֣וֹרle.'orH216for the nationsגּוֹיִ֔םgo.YimH1471,to bringלִֽהְי֥וֹתlih.YotH1961My salvationיְשׁוּעָתִ֖יye.shu.'a.TiH3444toעַד־'ad-H5704the endsקְצֵ֥הke.TzehH7097of the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ סha.'A.retzH776.”
7Thusכֹּ֣הkohH3541saysאָֽמַר־'a.mar-H559the LORDיְהוָה֩Yah.wehH3068,the Redeemerגֹּאֵ֨לgo.'ElH1350andHoly Oneקְדוֹשׁ֗וֹke.do.ShoH6918of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֜לYis.ra.'ElH3478,to Him whoנֶ֜פֶשׁNe.feshH5315was despisedלִבְזֹה־liv.zoh-H959andabhorredלִמְתָ֤עֵֽבlim.Ta.'evH8581by the nationגּוֹי֙goyH1471,to the Servantלְעֶ֣בֶדle.'E.vedH5650of rulersמֹשְׁלִ֔יםmo.she.LimH4910: “Kingsמְלָכִים֙me.la.KhimH4428will see Youיִרְא֣וּyir.'UH7200and riseוָקָ֔מוּva.Ka.muH6965,and princesשָׂרִ֖יםsa.RimH8269will bow downוְיִֽשְׁתַּחֲוּ֑וּve.yish.ta.cha.VuH7812,because ofלְמַ֤עַןle.Ma.'anH4616the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834is faithfulנֶאֱמָ֔ןne.'e.ManH539,the Holyקְדֹ֥שׁke.DoshH6918One of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,who has chosen Youוַיִּבְחָרֶֽךָּ׃vai.yiv.cha.Re.kaH977.”
8This is whatכֹּ֣ה׀kohH3541the LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: “In the timeבְּעֵ֤תbe.'EtH6256of favorרָצוֹן֙ra.tzOnH7522I will answer Youעֲנִיתִ֔יךָ'a.ni.Ti.khaH6030,and in the dayוּבְי֥וֹםu.ve.YomH3117of salvationיְשׁוּעָ֖הye.shu.'AhH3444I will help Youעֲזַרְתִּ֑יךָ'a.zar.Ti.khaH5826;I will keep Youוְאֶצָּרְךָ֗ve.'e.tza.re.KhaH5341and appoint Youוְאֶתֶּנְךָ֙ve.'e.ten.KhaH5414to be a covenantלִבְרִ֣יתliv.RitH1285for the peopleעָ֔ם'AmH5971,to restoreלְהָקִ֣יםle.ha.KimH6965the landאֶ֔רֶץ'E.retzH776,to apportionלְהַנְחִ֖ילle.han.ChilH5157its desolateשֹׁמֵמֽוֹת׃sho.me.MotH8074inheritancesנְחָל֥וֹתne.cha.LotH5159,
9to sayלֵאמֹ֤רle.MorH559to the prisonersלַֽאֲסוּרִים֙la.'a.su.RimH631, ‘Come outצֵ֔אוּTze.'uH3318,’and to thoseלַאֲשֶׁ֥רla.'a.SherH834in darknessבַּחֹ֖שֶׁךְba.Cho.shekhH2822, ‘Show yourselvesהִגָּל֑וּhi.ga.LuH1540.’They will feedיִרְע֔וּyir.'UH7462alongעַל־'al-H5921the pathwaysדְּרָכִ֣יםde.ra.KhimH1870,and find pastureמַרְעִיתָֽם׃mar.'i.TamH4830on everyוּבְכָל־u.ve.Khol-H3605barren hillשְׁפָיִ֖יםshe.fa.YimH8205.
10They will notלֹ֤אlo'H3808וְלֹ֣אve.Lo'H3808hungerיִרְעָ֙בוּ֙yir.'A.vuH7456or thirstיִצְמָ֔אוּyitz.Ma.'uH6770,nor willוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808scorching heatשָׁרָ֖בsha.RavH8273or sunוָשָׁ֑מֶשׁva.Sha.meshH8121beat down on themיַכֵּ֥םya.KemH5221.Forכִּי־ki-H3588He who has compassion on themמְרַחֲמָ֣םme.ra.cha.MamH7355will guide themיְנַהֲגֵ֔םye.na.ha.GemH5090and lead themיְנַהֲלֵֽם׃ye.na.ha.LemH5095besideוְעַל־ve.'al-H5921springsמַבּ֥וּעֵיma.Bu.'eiH4002of waterמַ֖יִםMa.yimH4325.
12Beholdהִנֵּה־hi.neh-H2009,theyאֵ֕לֶּה'E.lehH428will comeיָבֹ֑אוּya.Vo.'uH935from far awayמֵרָח֖וֹק וְהִֽנֵּה־ אֵ֙לֶּה֙me.ra.Chok ve.hi.neh- 'e.lehH7350H2009H428,from the northמִצָּפ֣וֹןmi.tza.FonH6828and from the westוּמִיָּ֔םu.mi.YamH3220,and fromוְאֵ֖לֶּהve.'E.lehH428the landמֵאֶ֥רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Aswanסִינִֽים׃si.NimH5515.”
13Shout for joyרָנּ֤וּra.NuH7442,O heavensשָׁמַ֙יִם֙sha.Ma.yimH8064;rejoiceוְגִ֣ילִיve.Gi.liH1523,O earthאָ֔רֶץ'A.retzH776;break forthוּפִצְח֥וּvuf.tze.chuH6476in songרִנָּ֑הri.NahH7440,O mountainsהָרִ֖יםha.RimH2022!Forכִּֽי־ki-H3588the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068has comfortedנִחַ֤םni.ChamH5162His peopleעַמּ֔וֹa.MoH5971,and He will have compassionיְרַחֵֽם׃ סye.ra.ChemH7355on His afflicted onesוַעֲנִיָּ֖וva.'a.ni.YavH6041.
15“Can a womanאִשָּׁה֙'i.ShahH802forgetהֲתִשְׁכַּ֤חha.tish.KachH7911her nursing childעוּלָ֔הּ'u.LahH5764,or lack compassionמֵרַחֵ֖םme.ra.ChemH7355for the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of her wombבִּטְנָ֑הּbit.NahH990?Even ifגַּם־gam-H1571sheאֵ֣לֶּה'E.lehH428could forgetתִשְׁכַּ֔חְנָהtish.Kach.nahH7911,I willוְאָנֹכִ֖יve.'a.no.KhiH595notלֹ֥אlo'H3808forget youאֶשְׁכָּחֵֽךְ׃'esh.ka.ChekhH7911!
18Lift upשְׂאִֽי־se.'i-H5375your eyesעֵינַ֙יִךְ֙'ei.Na.yikhH5869and lookוּרְאִ֔יu.re.'IH7200aroundסָבִ֤יבsa.VivH5439.They allכֻּלָּ֖םku.LamH3605gather togetherנִקְבְּצ֣וּnik.be.TzuH6908;they comeבָֽאוּ־va.'u-H935to you.As surely as Iאָ֣נִי'A.niH589liveחַי־chai-H2416,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068כִּ֤יkiH3588, “you will wear themתִלְבָּ֔שִׁיtil.Ba.shiH3847allכֻלָּם֙khu.LamH3605as jewelryכָּעֲדִ֣יka.'a.DiH5716and put them onוּֽתְקַשְּׁרִ֖יםu.te.ka.she.RimH7194like a brideכַּכַּלָּֽה׃ka.ka.LahH3618.
19Forכִּ֤יkiH3588your ruinedחָרְבֹתַ֙יִךְ֙cha.re.vo.Ta.yikhH2723and desolate placesוְשֹׁ֣מְמֹתַ֔יִךְve.Sho.me.mo.Ta.yikhH8074and your ravaged landוְאֶ֖רֶץ הֲרִֽסֻתֵ֑יךְve.'E.retz ha.ri.su.TeikhH776H2035will nowעַתָּה֙'a.TahH6258indeedכִּ֤יkiH3588be too smallתֵּצְרִ֣יte.tze.RiH3334for your peopleמִיּוֹשֵׁ֔בmi.yo.ShevH3427,and those who devoured youמְבַלְּעָֽיִךְ׃me.va.le.'A.yikhH1104will be far awayוְרָחֲק֖וּve.ra.cha.KuH7368.
20Yetע֚וֹדodH5750the childrenבְּנֵ֖יbe.NeiH1121of your bereavementשִׁכֻּלָ֑יִךְshi.ku.La.yikhH7923will sayיֹאמְר֣וּyo.me.RuH559in your hearingבְאָזְנַ֔יִךְve.'a.ze.Na.yikhH241, ‘This placeהַמָּק֖וֹםha.ma.KomH4725is too small for usצַר־tzar-H6862;make roomגְּשָׁה־ge.shah-H5066for usto live hereוְאֵשֵֽׁבָה׃ve.'e.She.vahH3427.’
21Then you will sayוְאָמַ֣רְתְּve.'a.MartH559in your heartבִּלְבָבֵ֗ךְbil.va.VekhH3824, ‘Whoמִ֤יmiH4310has begottenיָֽלַד־ya.lad-H3205אֶת־'et-H853theseאֵ֔לֶּה'E.lehH428for me?Iוַאֲנִ֥יva.'a.NiH589was bereavedשְׁכוּלָ֖הshe.khu.LahH7909and barrenוְגַלְמוּדָ֑הve.gal.mu.DahH1565;I was exiledגֹּלָ֣ה׀go.LahH1540and rejectedH5494.So whoמִ֣יmiH4310has reared themוְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ גִדֵּ֔לve.'E.leh gi.DelH428H1431?Lookהֵ֤ןhenH2005,Iאֲנִי֙'a.NiH589was leftנִשְׁאַ֣רְתִּיnish.'Ar.tiH7604all aloneלְבַדִּ֔יle.va.DiH905,soאֵ֖לֶּה'E.lehH428whereאֵיפֹ֥ה'ei.FohH375did they come fromהֵֽם׃ פHemH1992?’”
22This is whatכֹּֽה־koh-H3541the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GODיְהוִ֗הYah.wehH3069saysאָמַ֞ר'a.MarH559: “Beholdהִנֵּ֨הhi.NehH2009,I will lift upאֶשָּׂ֤א'e.Sa'H5375My handיָדִ֔יya.DiH3027toאֶל־'el-H413the nationsגּוֹיִם֙go.YimH1471,and raiseאָרִ֣ים'a.RimH7311My bannerנִסִּ֑יni.SiH5251toוְאֶל־ve.'el-H413the peoplesעַמִּ֖ים'a.MimH5971.They will bringוְהֵבִ֤יאוּve.he.Vi.'uH935your sonsבָנַ֙יִךְ֙va.Na.yikhH1121in their armsבְּחֹ֔צֶןbe.Cho.tzenH2684and carryתִּנָּשֶֽׂאנָה׃ti.na.Se.nahH5375your daughtersוּבְנֹתַ֖יִךְu.ve.no.Ta.yikhH1323onעַל־'al-H5921their shouldersכָּתֵ֥ףka.TefH3802.
23Kingsמְלָכִ֜יםme.la.KhimH4428will beוְהָי֨וּve.ha.YuH1961your foster fathersאֹֽמְנַ֗יִךְ'o.me.Na.yikhH539,and their queensוְשָׂרֽוֹתֵיהֶם֙ve.sa.ro.tei.HemH8282your nursing mothersמֵינִ֣יקֹתַ֔יִךְmei.Ni.ko.Ta.yikhH3243.They will bowיִשְׁתַּ֣חֲווּyish.Ta.cha.vuH7812to youfacedownאַפַּ֗יִם אֶ֚רֶץ'a.Pa.yim 'E.retzH639H776and lickיְלַחֵ֑כוּye.la.Che.khuH3897the dustוַעֲפַ֥רva.'a.FarH6083at your feetרַגְלַ֖יִךְrag.La.yikhH7272.Then you will knowוְיָדַ֙עַתְּ֙ve.ya.Da.'atH3045thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588Iאֲנִ֣י'a.NiH589am the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068;those whoאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834hope in Meקוָֹֽי׃ סko.VaiH6960will neverלֹֽא־lo'-H3808be put to shameיֵבֹ֖שׁוּye.Vo.shuH954.”
25Indeedכִּי־ki-H3588,this is whatכֹ֣ה׀khohH3541the LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: “Evenגַּם־gam-H1571the captivesשְׁבִ֤יshe.ViH7628of the mightyגִבּוֹר֙gi.bOrH1368will be taken awayיֻקָּ֔חyu.KachH3947,and the plunderוּמַלְק֥וֹחַu.mal.Ko.achH4455of the tyrantעָרִ֖יץ'a.RitzH6184will be retrievedיִמָּלֵ֑טyi.ma.LetH4422;Iאָנֹכִ֣י'a.no.KhiH595will contendאָרִ֔יב'a.RivH7378וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853withוְאֶת־ve.'EtH854those who contend with youיְרִיבֵךְ֙ye.ri.veKhH3401,and Iאָנֹכִ֥י'a.no.KhiH595will saveאוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃'o.Shi.a'H3467your childrenבָּנַ֖יִךְba.Na.yikhH1121.
26I will make your oppressorsמוֹנַ֙יִךְ֙mo.Na.yikhH3238אֶת־'et-H853eatוְהַאֲכַלְתִּ֤יve.ha.'a.khal.TiH398אֶת־'et-H853their own fleshבְּשָׂרָ֔םbe.sa.RamH1320;they will be drunkיִשְׁכָּר֑וּןyish.ka.RunH7937on their own bloodדָּמָ֣םda.MamH1818,as with wineוְכֶעָסִ֖יסve.khe.'a.SisH6071.Then allכָל־khol-H3605mankindבָּשָׂ֗רba.SarH1320will knowוְיָדְע֣וּve.ya.de.'UH3045thatכִּ֣יkiH3588Iאֲנִ֤י'a.NiH589,the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,am your Saviorמֽוֹשִׁיעֵ֔ךְmo.shi.'EkhH3467and your Redeemerוְגֹאֲלֵ֖ךְve.go.'a.LekhH1350,the Mightyאֲבִ֥יר'a.VirH46One of Jacobיַעֲקֹֽב׃ סya.'a.KoH3290.”
