2The gods cowerקָרְס֤וּka.re.SuH7164;they crouchכָֽרְעוּ֙kha.re.'UH3766togetherיַחְדָּ֔וyach.DavH3162,unableלֹ֥א יָכְל֖וּlo' ya.khe.LuH3808 H3201to relieveמַלֵּ֣טma.LetH4422the burdenמַשָּׂ֑אma.Sa'H4853;but theyוְנַפְשָׁ֖םve.naf.ShamH5315themselves goהָלָֽכָה׃ סha.La.khahH1980into captivityבַּשְּׁבִ֥יba.she.ViH7628.

3“Listenשִׁמְע֤וּshim.'UH8085to Meאֵלַי֙'e.LaiH413,O houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Jacobיַעֲקֹ֔בya.'a.KoH3290,allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the remnantשְׁאֵרִ֖יתshe.'e.RitH7611of the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,who have been sustainedהַֽעֲמֻסִים֙ha.'a.mu.SimH6006fromמִנִּי־mi.ni-H4480the wombבֶ֔טֶןVe.tenH990,carried alongהַנְּשֻׂאִ֖יםha.ne.su.'ImH5375sinceמִנִּי־mi.ni-H4480birthרָֽחַם׃Ra.chamH7356.

4Even toוְעַד־ve.'ad-H5704your old ageזִקְנָה֙zik.NahH2209,Iאֲנִ֣י'a.NiH589will be the sameה֔וּאHu'H1931,and Iאֲנִ֣י'a.NiH589will bear you upאֶסְבֹּ֑ל'es.BolH5445whenוְעַד־ve.'ad-H5704you turn grayשֵיבָ֖הshei.VahH7872.Iאֲנִ֤י'a.NiH589have made youעָשִׂ֙יתִי֙'a.Si.tiH6213,and Iוַאֲנִ֣יva.'a.NiH589will carry youאֶשָּׂ֔א'e.Sa'H5375;Iוַאֲנִ֥יva.'a.NiH589will sustain youאֶסְבֹּ֖ל'es.BolH5445and deliver youוַאֲמַלֵּֽט׃ סva.'a.ma.LetH4422.

5To whomלְמִ֥יle.MiH4310will you liken Meתְדַמְי֖וּנִיte.dam.Yu.niH1819or count Me equalוְתַשְׁו֑וּve.tash.VuH7737?To whom will you compare Meוְתַמְשִׁל֖וּנִיve.tam.shi.Lu.niH4911,that we should be alikeוְנִדְמֶֽה׃ve.nid.MehH1819?

6They pour outהַזָּלִ֤יםha.za.LimH2107their bagsמִכִּ֔יסmi.KisH3599of goldזָהָב֙za.HavH2091and weigh outיִשְׁקֹ֑לוּyish.Ko.luH8254silverוְכֶ֖סֶףve.Khe.sefH3701on scalesבַּקָּנֶ֣הba.ka.NehH7070;they hireיִשְׂכְּר֤וּyis.ke.RuH7936a goldsmithצוֹרֵף֙tzo.RefH6884to fashion itוְיַעֲשֵׂ֣הוּve.ya.'a.Se.huH6213into a godאֵ֔ל'ElH410,so they can bow downיִסְגְּד֖וּyis.ge.DuH5456andאַף־'af-H637worshipיִֽשְׁתַּחֲוּֽוּ׃Yish.ta.cha.VuH7812.
