21But the childrenהַבָּנִ֗יםha.ba.NimH1121rebelledוַיַּמְרוּ־vai.yam.ru-H4784against Me.They did notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808walkהָ֠לָכוּHa.la.khuH1980וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853in My statutesבְּחֻקּוֹתַ֣יbe.chu.ko.TaiH2708or carefullyשָׁמְר֜וּsha.me.RuH8104observeלַעֲשׂ֣וֹתla.'a.SotH6213אוֹתָ֗ם'o.TamH853My ordinancesמִשְׁפָּטַ֨י לֹא־mish.pa.Tai lo'-H4941H3808—though the manהָֽאָדָם֙ha.'a.DamH120whoאֲשֶׁר֩'a.SherH834doesיַעֲשֶׂ֨הya.'a.SehH6213these thingsאוֹתָ֤ם'o.TamH853will liveוָחַ֣יva.ChaiH2421by themאֶת־'et-H853—and they profanedחִלֵּ֑לוּchi.Le.luH2490My Sabbathsשַׁבְּתוֹתַ֖יsha.be.to.TaiH7676.So I resolvedוָאֹמַ֞רva.'o.MarH559to pourלִשְׁפֹּ֧ךְlish.PokhH8210out My wrathחֲמָתִ֣יcha.ma.TiH2534upon themעֲלֵיהֶ֗ם'a.lei.HemH5921and ventלְכַלּ֥וֹתle.kha.LotH3615My angerאַפִּ֛י'a.PiH639against themin the wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃ba.mid.BarH4057.
22But I withheldוַהֲשִׁבֹ֙תִי֙va.ha.shi.Vo.tiH7725אֶת־'et-H853My handיָדִ֔יya.DiH3027and actedוָאַ֖עַשׂva.'A.'asH6213for the sakeלְמַ֣עַןle.Ma.'anH4616of My nameשְׁמִ֑יshe.MiH8034,so that it would notלְבִלְתִּ֤יle.vil.TiH1115be profanedהֵחֵל֙he.ChelH2490in the eyesלְעֵינֵ֣יle.'ei.NeiH5869of the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֔םha.go.YimH1471in whoseאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834sightלְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃le.'ei.nei.HemH5869I had brought them outהוֹצֵ֥אתִיho.Tze.tiH3318אוֹתָ֖ם'o.TamH853.
