2And he went outוַיֵּצֵא֮vai.ye.Tze'H3318to meetלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440Asaאָסָא֒'a.Sa'H609,and saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, Hearשְׁמָע֕וּנִיshe.ma.'U.niH8085ye me, Asaאָסָ֖א'a.Sa'H609,and all Judahיְהוּדָ֣הye.hu.DahH3063and Benjaminוּבִנְיָמִ֑ןu.vin.ya.MinH1144;Yhwhיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068iswith you, while ye be with him; and if ye seekתִּדְרְשֻׁ֙הוּ֙tid.re.Shu.huH1875him, he will be foundיִמָּצֵ֣אyi.ma.Tze'H4672of you; but if ye forsakeתַּעַזְבֻ֖הוּta.'az.Vu.huH5800him, he will forsakeיַעֲזֹ֥בya.'a.ZoH5800you.

4But when they in their troubleבַּצַּר־ba.tzar-H6862did turnוַיָּ֙שָׁב֙vai.Ya.shovH7725unto Yhwhיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and soughtוַיְבַקְשֻׁ֖הוּvay.vak.Shu.huH1245him, he was foundוַיִּמָּצֵ֥אvai.yi.ma.Tze'H4672of them.

5And in those timesוּבָעִתִּ֣יםu.va.'i.TimH6256there wasno peaceשָׁל֖וֹםsha.LomH7965to him that went outלַיּוֹצֵ֣אlai.yo.Tze'H3318,nor to him that came inוְלַבָּ֑אve.la.Ba'H935,but greatרַבּ֔וֹתra.BotH7227vexationsמְהוּמֹ֣תme.hu.MotH4103wereupon all the inhabitantsיוֹשְׁבֵ֖יyo.she.VeiH3427of the countriesהָאֲרָצֽוֹת׃ha.'a.ra.TzotH776.

6And nationגוֹי־goy-H1471was destroyedוְכֻתְּת֥וּve.khu.te.TuH3807of nationבְּג֖וֹיbe.GoyH1471,and cityוְעִ֣ירve.'IrH5892of cityבְּעִ֑ירbe.'IrH5892:for Godאֱלֹהִ֥ים'E.lo.HimH430did vexהֲמָמָ֖םha.ma.MamH2000them with all adversityצָרָֽה׃tza.RahH6869.

7Be ye strongחִזְק֔וּchiz.KuH2388therefore, and let not your handsיְדֵיכֶ֑םye.dei.KhemH3027be weakיִרְפּ֖וּyir.PuH7503:for your workלִפְעֻלַּתְכֶֽם׃ סlif.'u.lat.KhemH6468shall beיֵ֥שׁyeshH3426rewardedשָׂכָ֖רsa.KharH7939.

9And he gatheredוַיִּקְבֹּ֗ץvai.yik.BotzH6908all Judahיְהוּדָה֙ye.hu.DahH3063and Benjaminוּבִנְיָמִ֔ןu.vin.ya.MinH1144,and the strangersוְהַגָּרִים֙ve.ha.ga.RimH1481with them out of Ephraimמֵאֶפְרַ֥יִםme.'ef.Ra.yimH669and Manassehוּמְנַשֶּׁ֖הu.me.na.ShehH4519,and out of Simeonוּמִשִּׁמְע֑וֹןu.mi.shim.'onH8095:for they fellנָפְל֨וּna.fe.LuH5307to him out of Israelמִיִּשְׂרָאֵל֙mi.Yis.ra.'ElH3478in abundanceלָרֹ֔בla.RoH7230,when they sawבִּרְאֹתָ֕םbir.'o.TamH7200that Yhwhיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068his Godאֱלֹהָ֖יו'e.lo.HavH430was with him.

14And they swareוַיִּשָּֽׁבְעוּ֙vai.yi.sha.ve.'UH7650unto Yhwhלַיהוָ֔הla.Yah.wehH3068with a loudגָּד֖וֹלga.DolH1419voiceבְּק֥וֹלbe.KolH6963,and with shoutingוּבִתְרוּעָ֑הu.vit.ru.'AhH8643,and with trumpetsוּבַחֲצֹצְר֖וֹתu.va.cha.tzo.tze.RotH2689,and with cornetsוּבְשׁוֹפָרֽוֹת׃u.ve.sho.fa.RotH7782.

15And all Judahיְהוּדָ֜הye.hu.DahH3063rejoicedוַיִּשְׂמְח֨וּvai.yis.me.ChuH8055at the oathהַשְּׁבוּעָ֗הha.she.vu.'AhH7621:for they had swornנִשְׁבָּ֔עוּnish.Ba.'uH7650with all their heartלְבָבָם֙le.va.VamH3824,and soughtבִּקְשֻׁ֔הוּbik.Shu.huH1245him with their whole desireרְצוֹנָ֣םre.tzo.NamH7522;and he was foundוַיִּמָּצֵ֖אvai.yi.ma.Tze'H4672of them: and Yhwhיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068gave them restוַיָּ֧נַחvai.Ya.nachH5117round aboutמִסָּבִֽיב׃mi.sa.VivH5439.

17But the high placesוְהַ֨בָּמ֔וֹתve.Ha.ba.MotH1116were not taken awayסָ֖רוּSa.ruH5493out of Israelמִיִּשְׂרָאֵ֑לmi.Yis.ra.'ElH3478:nevertheless the heartלְבַב־le.vav-H3824of Asaאָסָ֛א'a.Sa'H609was perfectשָׁלֵ֖םsha.LemH8003all his daysיָמָֽיו׃ya.MavH3117.

18And he broughtוַיָּבֵ֞אvai.ya.Ve'H935into the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֑יםha.'E.lo.HimH430the things that his fatherאָבִ֛יו'a.VivH1had dedicatedקָדְשֵׁ֥יka.de.SheiH6944,and that he himself had dedicatedוְקָֽדָשָׁ֖יוve.ka.da.ShavH6944,silverכֶּ֥סֶףKe.sefH3701,and goldוְזָהָ֖בve.za.HavH2091,and vesselsוְכֵלִֽים׃ve.khe.LimH3627.
