John 5:31-40

31“1IfG1437 I alone testifyG3140 aboutG4012 MyselfG1683, My testimonyG3141 is not 2trueG227.

32There is 3anotherG243 who testifiesG3140 aboutG4012 Me, and I knowG3609 that the testimonyG3141 whichG3739 He givesG3140 aboutG4012 Me is trueG227.

33You have sentG649 messengers to JohnG2491, and he 4has testifiedG3140 to the truthG225.

34But 5the testimonyG3141 I receiveG2983 is not from manG444, but I sayG3004 theseG3778 thingsG3778 soG2443 thatG2443 you may be savedG4982.

35He was 6the lampG3088 that was burningG2545 and shiningG5316, and you 7were willingG2309 to rejoiceG21 for 8a whileG5610 in his lightG5457.

36But the testimonyG3141 I haveG2192 is greaterG3173 than the testimony of JohnG2491; for 9the worksG2041 whichG3739 the FatherG3962 has givenG1325 Me 10to accomplishG5048--the veryG846 worksG2041 that I doG4160--testifyG3140 aboutG4012 Me, that the FatherG3962 11has sentG649 Me.

37And the FatherG3962 who sentG3992 Me, 12He has testifiedG3140 aboutG4012 Me. You have neitherG3777 heardG191 His voiceG5456 at anyG4455 timeG4455, norG3777 seenG3708 His formG1491.

38AlsoG2532 you do not haveG2192 13His wordG3056 remainingG3306 in you, becauseG3754 you do not believeG4100 Him whomG3739 He 14sentG649.

391516You examineG2038 the ScripturesG1124 becauseG3754 you thinkG1380 that in them you haveG2192 eternalG166 lifeG2222; and it is 17thoseG1565 very Scriptures that testifyG3140 aboutG4012 Me;

40and yet you are unwillingG3756G2309 to comeG2064 to Me soG2443 thatG2443 you may haveG2192 lifeG2222.
