2They stoodוַֽתַּעֲמֹ֜דְנָהva.ta.'a.Mo.de.nahH5975beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440Mosesמֹשֶׁ֗הmo.ShehH4872,beforeוְלִפְנֵי֙ve.lif.NeiH6440Eleazarאֶלְעָזָ֣ר'el.'a.ZarH499the priestהַכֹּהֵ֔ןha.ko.HenH3548,beforeוְלִפְנֵ֥יve.lif.NeiH6440the leadersהַנְּשִׂיאִ֖םha.ne.si.'ImH5387,and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the congregationהָעֵדָ֑הha.'e.DahH5712at the entranceפֶּ֥תַחPe.tachH6607of the tentאֹֽהֶל־'o.hel-H168of meetingמוֹעֵ֖דmo.'EdH4150,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

3“Our fatherאָבִינוּ֮'a.vi.NuH1diedמֵ֣תmetH4191in the wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּר֒ba.mid.BarH4057,yet he was not amongבְּת֣וֹךְbe.TokhH8432the groupהָעֵדָ֗הha.'e.DahH5712of those who gatheredהַנּוֹעָדִ֛יםha.no.'a.DimH3259together againstעַל־'al-H5921the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,in the groupבַּעֲדַת־ba.'a.dat-H5712of Korahקֹ֑רַחKo.rachH7141;but he diedמֵ֔תMetH4191in his own sinבְחֶטְא֣וֹve.chet.'OH2399, andhe hadH1961noH3808sonsוּבָנִ֖יםu.va.NimH1121.

4Whyלָ֣מָּהLa.mahH4100should the nameשֵׁם־shem-H8034of our fatherאָבִ֙ינוּ֙'a.Vi.nuH1be withdrawnיִגָּרַ֤עyi.ga.Ra'H1639from amongמִתּ֣וֹךְmi.TokhH8432his familyמִשְׁפַּחְתּ֔וֹmish.pach.ToH4940simplybecauseכִּ֛יkiH3588he hadH369noH369sonבֵּ֑ןBenH1121?Giveתְּנָה־te.nah-H5414us propertyאֲחֻזָּ֔ה'a.chu.ZahH272amongבְּת֖וֹךְbe.TokhH8432our father’sאָבִֽינוּ׃'a.Vi.nuH1brothersאֲחֵ֥י'a.CheiH251.”

5So Mosesמֹשֶׁ֛הmo.ShehH4872broughtוַיַּקְרֵ֥בvai.yak.RevH7126their caseמִשְׁפָּטָ֖ןmish.pa.TanH4941beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.

6Then the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068saidH559toMosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872,

7“The daughtersבְּנ֣וֹתbe.NotH1323of Zelophehadצְלָפְחָד֮tze.la.fe.ChadH6765are rightH3653about theirstatementsדֹּבְרֹת֒doe.RotH1696.You shall certainlyנָתֹ֨ןna.TonH5414giveתִּתֵּ֤ןti.TenH5414them hereditaryנַחֲלָ֔הna.cha.LahH5159propertyאֲחֻזַּ֣ת'a.chu.ZatH272amongבְּת֖וֹךְbe.TokhH8432their father’sאֲבִיהֶ֑ם'a.vi.HemH1brothersאֲחֵ֣י'a.CheiH251,and you shall transferוְהַֽעֲבַרְתָּ֛ve.ha.'a.var.TaH5674the inheritanceנַחֲלַ֥תna.cha.LatH5159of their fatherאֲבִיהֶ֖ן'a.vi.HenH1to them.

8Further, you shall speakתְּדַבֵּ֣רte.da.BerH1696to the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, ‘Ifכִּֽי־ki-H3588a manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376diesיָמ֗וּתya.MutH4191and hasH369noH369sonוּבֵן֙u.VenH1121,then you shall transferוְהַֽעֲבַרְתֶּ֥םve.ha.'a.var.TemH5674his inheritanceנַחֲלָת֖וֹna.cha.la.ToH5159to his daughterלְבִתּֽוֹ׃le.vi.ToH1323.

9And ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518he hasH369noH369daughterבַּ֑תBatH1323,then you shall giveוּנְתַתֶּ֥םu.ne.ta.TemH5414his inheritanceנַחֲלָת֖וֹna.cha.la.ToH5159to his brothersלְאֶחָיו׃le.'e.chavH251.

10Ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518he hasH369noH369brothersאַחִ֑ים'a.ChimH251,then you shall giveוּנְתַתֶּ֥םu.ne.ta.TemH5414his inheritanceנַחֲלָת֖וֹna.cha.la.ToH5159to his father’sאָבִֽיו׃'a.VivH1brothersלַאֲחֵ֥יla.'a.CheiH251.

11And ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518his fatherלְאָבִיו֒le.'a.VivH1hasH369noH369brothersאַחִים֮'a.ChimH251,then you shall giveוּנְתַתֶּ֣םu.ne.ta.TemH5414his inheritanceנַחֲלָת֗וֹna.cha.la.ToH5159to his nearestהַקָּרֹ֥בha.ka.RoH7138relativeלִשְׁאֵר֞וֹlish.'e.RoH7607in his own familyמִמִּשְׁפַּחְתּ֖וֹmi.mish.pach.ToH4940,and he shall takeוְיָרַ֣שׁve.ya.RashH3423possessionH3423of it; and it shall be astatutoryלְחֻקַּ֣תle.chu.KatH2708ordinanceמִשְׁפָּ֔טmish.PatH4941to the sonsלִבְנֵ֤יliv.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478,justH3512asH3512the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068has commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃ סmo.ShehH4872.’”
