47The Levitesוְהַלְוִיִּ֖םve.hal.vi.YimH3881,however, were not countedהָתְפָּקְד֖וּhat.pak.DuH6485amongבְּתוֹכָֽם׃ פbe.to.KhamH8432them by their fathers’אֲבֹתָ֑ם'a.vo.TamH1tribeלְמַטֵּ֣הle.ma.TehH4294.

48For the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had spokenוַיְדַבֵּ֥רvay.da.BerH1696to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872,sayingלֵּאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

49“Onlyאַ֣ךְ'akhH389the tribeמַטֵּ֤הma.TehH4294of Leviלֵוִי֙le.ViH3878you shall not countתִפְקֹ֔דtif.KodH6485,norH3808shall you takeתִשָּׂ֑אti.Sa'H5375theircensusרֹאשָׁ֖םro.ShamH7218amongבְּת֖וֹךְbe.TokhH8432the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

50And you shallappointהַפְקֵ֣דhaf.KedH6485the Levitesהַלְוִיִּם֩hal.vi.YimH3881overעַל־'al-H5921thetabernacleמִשְׁכַּ֨ןmish.KanH4908of the testimonyהָעֵדֻ֜תha.'e.DutH5715,and overוְעַ֣לve.'AlH5921allכָּל־kol-H3605its furnishingsכֵּלָיו֮ke.LavH3627and overוְעַ֣לve.'AlH5921everythingכָּל־kol-H3605that belongs to it. They shall carryיִשְׂא֤וּyis.'UH5375the tabernacleהַמִּשְׁכָּן֙ha.mish.KanH4908and allכָּל־kol-H3605its furnishingsכֵּלָ֔יוke.LavH3627,and they shall takeH8334careH8334ofH8334it; they shall also campיַחֲנֽוּ׃ya.cha.NuH2583aroundוְסָבִ֥יבve.sa.VivH5439thetabernacleלַמִּשְׁכָּ֖ןla.mish.KanH4908.

51So when the tabernacleהַמִּשְׁכָּ֗ןha.mish.KanH4908is to moveH5265onH5265,the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֔םhal.vi.YimH3881shall takeיוֹרִ֤ידוּyo.Ri.duH3381it downH3381;and when the tabernacleהַמִּשְׁכָּ֔ןha.mish.KanH4908encampsוּבַחֲנֹת֙u.va.cha.NotH2583,the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֑םhal.vi.YimH3881shall setH6965it upH6965. But thelaymanוְהַזָּ֥רve.ha.ZarH2114who comesH7131nearH7131itshall be putיוּמָֽת׃yu.MatH4191toH4191deathH4191.

52So the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478shall campוְחָנ֖וּve.cha.NuH2583,eachH376manH376by his own campמַחֲנֵ֛הוּma.cha.Ne.huH4264,and eachH376manH376by his ownflagדִּגְל֖וֹdig.LoH1714,according to their armiesלְצִבְאֹתָֽם׃le.tziv.'o.TamH6635.

53But the Levitesוְהַלְוִיִּ֞םve.hal.vi.YimH3881shall campיַחֲנ֤וּya.cha.NuH2583aroundסָבִיב֙sa.VivH5439the tabernacleלְמִשְׁכַּ֣ןle.mish.KanH4908of the testimonyהָעֵדֻ֔תha.'e.DutH5715, so that there will benoוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808divinewrathקֶ֔צֶףKe.tzefH7110againstעַל־'al-H5921the congregationעֲדַ֖ת'a.DatH5712of the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478.So the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֔םhal.vi.YimH3881shall beH8104responsibleH8104forH8104serviceמִשְׁמֶ֖רֶתmish.Me.retH4931to the tabernacleמִשְׁכַּ֥ןmish.KanH4908of the testimonyהָעֵדֽוּת׃ha.'e.DutH5715.”

54And the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478didוַֽיַּעֲשׂ֖וּvai.ya.'a.SuH6213so;in accordance with allכְּ֠כֹלKe.kholH3605that the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֧הtzi.VahH6680Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872,soכֵּ֥ןkenH3651they didעָשֽׂוּ׃ פ'a.SuH6213.
