Aaron Offers Sacrifices

2and he saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Aaronאַהֲרֹ֗ן'a.ha.RonH175, “Takeקַח־kach-H3947for yourself a calfעֵ֣גֶל'E.gelH5695,a bullבֶּן־ בָּקָ֧רben- ba.KarH1121 H1241,as a sinלְחַטָּ֛אתle.cha.TatH2403offeringH2403and a ramוְאַ֥יִלve.'A.yilH352as a burntלְעֹלָ֖הle.'o.LahH5930offeringH5930, bothwithoutH8549defectH8549,and offerוְהַקְרֵ֖בve.hak.RevH7126thembeforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

3Then you shall speakתְּדַבֵּ֣רte.da.BerH1696to the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, ‘Takeקְח֤וּke.ChuH3947a maleשְׂעִיר־se.'ir-H8163goatעִזִּים֙'i.ZimH5795as a sinלְחַטָּ֔אתle.cha.TatH2403offeringH2403,and a calfוְעֵ֨גֶלve.'E.gelH5695and a lambוָכֶ֧בֶשׂva.Khe.vesH3532,both one yearשָׁנָ֛הsha.NahH8141oldבְּנֵי־be.nei-H1121,withoutH8549defectH8549,as a burntלְעֹלָֽה׃le.'o.LahH5930offeringH5930,

4and an oxוְשׁ֨וֹרve.ShorH7794and a ramוָאַ֜יִלva.'A.yilH352for peaceלִשְׁלָמִ֗יםlish.la.MimH8002offeringsH8002,to sacrificeלִזְבֹּ֙חַ֙liz.Bo.achH2076beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,and a grain offeringוּמִנְחָ֖הu.min.ChahH4503mixedבְּלוּלָ֣הbe.lu.LahH1101with oilבַשָּׁ֑מֶןva.Sha.menH8081;for todayהַיּ֔וֹםhai.YomH3117the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068will appearנִרְאָ֥הnir.'AhH7200to you.’”

5So they tookוַיִּקְח֗וּvai.yik.ChuH3947whatאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872had commandedצִוָּ֣הtzi.VahH6680to the frontפְּנֵ֖יpe.NeiH6440of the tentאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֑דmo.'EdH4150,and the wholeכָּל־kol-H3605congregationהָ֣עֵדָ֔הha.'e.DahH5712cameH7126nearH7126and stoodוַיַּֽעַמְד֖וּvai.ya.'am.DuH5975beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

6And Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Thisזֶ֧הzehH2088is the thingהַדָּבָ֛רha.da.VarH1697whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068has commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680you to doתַּעֲשׂ֑וּta.'a.SuH6213, so thatthe gloryכְּב֥וֹדke.VodH3519of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068may appearוְיֵרָ֥אve.ye.Ra'H7200to you.”

7Mosesמֹשֶׁ֜הmo.ShehH4872then saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Aaronאַהֲרֹ֗ן'a.ha.RonH175, “ComeH7126nearH7126to the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ha.miz.Be.achH4196andofferוַעֲשֵׂ֞הva.'a.SehH6213your sinחַטָּֽאתְךָ֙cha.ta.te.KhaH2403offeringH2403and your burntעֹ֣לָתֶ֔ךָ'o.la.Te.khaH5930offeringH5930,so that you may makeוְכַפֵּ֥רve.kha.PerH3722atonementוְכַפֵּ֣רve.kha.PerH3722for yourself and for the peopleהָעָ֑םha.'AmH5971;then makeוַעֲשֵׂ֞הva.'a.SehH6213the offeringקָרְבַּ֤ןka.re.BanH7133for the peopleהָעָם֙ha.'AmH5971,so that you may makeH3722atonementH3722for them, justH3512asH3512the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068has commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680.”

8So Aaronאַהֲרֹ֖ן'a.ha.RonH175cameH7126nearH7126to the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַha.miz.Be.achH4196and slaughteredוַיִּשְׁחַ֛טvai.yish.ChatH7819the calfעֵ֥גֶל'E.gelH5695of the sinהַחַטָּ֖אתha.cha.TatH2403offeringH2403whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834was for himself.

9Aaron’sאַהֲרֹ֣ן'a.ha.RonH175sonsבְּנֵ֨יbe.NeiH1121then presentedוַ֠יַּקְרִבוּVai.yak.ri.vuH7126the bloodהַדָּם֮ha.DamH1818to him; and he dippedוַיִּטְבֹּ֤לvai.yit.BolH2881his fingerאֶצְבָּעוֹ֙'etz.ba.'OH676in the bloodבַּדָּ֔םba.DamH1818andputוַיִּתֵּ֖ןvai.yi.TenH5414someon the hornsקַרְנ֣וֹתkar.NotH7161of the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַha.miz.Be.achH4196,and pouredיָצַ֔קya.TzakH3332outH3332the rest ofthe bloodהַדָּ֣םha.DamH1818at the baseיְס֖וֹדye.SodH3247of the altarהַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ha.miz.Be.achH4196.

10The fatהַחֵ֨לֶבha.Che.levH2459and the kidneysהַכְּלָיֹ֜תha.ke.la.YotH3629and thelobeהַיֹּתֶ֤רֶתhai.yo.Te.retH3508of the liverהַכָּבֵד֙ha.ka.VedH3516of the sinהַ֣חַטָּ֔אתha.cha.TatH2403offeringH2403he then offeredH6999upH6999inH6999smokeהִקְטִ֖ירhik.TirH6999on the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֑חָהha.miz.Be.chahH4196,justH3512asH3512the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃mo.ShehH4872.

11The fleshהַבָּשָׂ֖רha.ba.SarH1320and the hideהָע֑וֹרha.'OrH5785,however, he burnedשָׂרַ֣ףsa.RafH8313with fireבָּאֵ֔שׁba.'EshH784outsideמִח֖וּץmi.ChutzH4480 H2351the campלַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃La.ma.cha.NehH4264.

12Then he slaughteredוַיִּשְׁחַ֖טvai.yish.ChatH7819the burntהָעֹלָ֑הha.'o.LahH5930offeringH5930;and Aaron’sאַהֲרֹ֤ן'a.ha.RonH175sonsבְּנֵ֨יbe.NeiH1121broughtוַ֠יַּמְצִאוּVai.yam.tzi.'uH4672the bloodהַדָּ֔םha.DamH1818to him, and he sprinkledוַיִּזְרְקֵ֥הוּvai.yiz.re.Ke.huH2236it aroundסָבִֽיב׃sa.VivH5439on the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַha.miz.Be.achH4196.

13They broughtהִמְצִ֧יאוּhim.Tzi.'uH4672the burntהָעֹלָ֗הha.'o.LahH5930offeringH5930to him inpiecesלִנְתָחֶ֖יהָlin.ta.Chei.haH5409,with the headהָרֹ֑אשׁha.RoshH7218,and he offeredH6999themupH6999inH6999smokeוַיַּקְטֵ֖רvai.yak.TerH6999on the altarהַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ha.miz.Be.achH4196.

14He also washedוַיִּרְחַ֥ץvai.yir.ChatzH7364the entrailsהַקֶּ֖רֶבha.Ke.revH7130and the legsהַכְּרָעָ֑יִםha.ke.ra.'A.yimH3767,and offeredH6999themupH6999inH6999smokeוַיַּקְטֵ֥רvai.yak.TerH6999with the burntהָעֹלָ֖הha.'o.LahH5930offeringH5930on the altarהַמִּזְבֵּֽחָה׃ha.miz.Be.chahH4196.

15Then he presentedוַיַּקְרֵ֕בvai.yak.RevH7126the people’sהָעָ֑םha.'AmH5971offeringקָרְבַּ֣ןka.re.BanH7133,and tookוַיִּקַּ֞חvai.yi.KachH3947thegoatH5795of the sinהַֽחַטָּאת֙ha.cha.taTH2403offeringH2403whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834was for the peopleלָעָ֔םla.'AmH5971,and slaughteredוַיִּשְׁחָטֵ֥הוּvai.yish.cha.Te.huH7819it and offeredH2398it forH2398sinוַֽיְחַטְּאֵ֖הוּvay.cha.te.'E.huH2398,like the firstכָּרִאשֽׁוֹן׃ka.ri.ShonH7223.

16He also presentedוַיַּקְרֵ֖בvai.yak.RevH7126the burntהָעֹלָ֑הha.'o.LahH5930offeringH5930, andofferedוַֽיַּעֲשֶׂ֖הָvai.ya.'a.Se.haH6213it according tothe ordinanceכַּמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃ka.mish.PatH4941.

17Next he presentedוַיַּקְרֵב֮vai.yak.RevH7126the grain offeringהַמִּנְחָה֒ha.min.ChahH4503,and filledוַיְמַלֵּ֤אvay.ma.Le'H4390hishandכַפּוֹ֙kha.PoH3709with someH4480of it and offeredH6999itupH6999inH6999smokeוַיַּקְטֵ֖רvai.yak.TerH6999on the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַha.miz.Be.achH4196,besidesמִלְּבַ֖דmi.le.VadH4480 H905the burntעֹלַ֥ת'o.LatH5930offeringH5930of the morningהַבֹּֽקֶר׃ha.Bo.kerH1242.

19As for the portionsH2459of fatהַחֲלָבִ֖יםha.cha.la.VimH2459from the oxהַשּׁ֑וֹרha.ShorH7794and from the ramהָאַ֔יִלha.'A.yilH352,the fatהָֽאַלְיָ֤הha.'al.YahH451tailH451, the fatcoveringוְהַֽמְכַסֶּה֙ve.ham.kha.SehH4374,the kidneysוְהַכְּלָיֹ֔תve.ha.ke.la.YotH3629, and thelobeוְיֹתֶ֖רֶתve.yo.Te.retH3508of the liverהַכָּבֵֽד׃ha.ka.VedH3516,

20they now placedוַיָּשִׂ֥ימוּvai.ya.Si.muH7760the portionsהַחֲלָבִ֖יםha.cha.la.VimH2459of fatהַחֲלָבִ֖יםha.cha.la.VimH2459on the breastsהֶחָז֑וֹתhe.cha.ZotH2373;and he offeredH6999them upH6999inH6999smokeוַיַּקְטֵ֥רvai.yak.TerH6999on the altarהַמִּזְבֵּֽחָה׃ha.miz.Be.chahH4196.
