Leviticus 9
Aaron Offers Sacrifices
1Now it cameH1961 aboutH1961 1on the eighthH8066 dayH3117 that MosesH4872 calledH7121 AaronH175 and his sonsH1121 and the eldersH2205 of IsraelH3478; 2and he saidH559 to AaronH175, “2TakeH3947 for yourself a calfH5695, a bullH1121H1241, as a sinH2403 offeringH2403 and a ramH352 as a burntH5930 offeringH5930, both withoutH8549 defectH8549, and offerH7126 them beforeH6440 the LordH3068. 3Then you shall speakH1696 to the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478, sayingH559, ‘TakeH3947 a maleH8163 goatH5795 as a sinH2403 offeringH2403, and a calfH5695 and a lambH3532, both one yearH8141 oldH1121, withoutH8549 defectH8549, as a burntH5930 offeringH5930, 4and an oxH7794 and a ramH352 for peaceH8002 offeringsH8002, to sacrificeH2076 beforeH6440 the LordH3068, and a grain offeringH4503 mixedH1101 with oilH8081; for todayH3117 3the LordH3068 will appearH7200 to you.’” 5So they tookH3947 whatH834 MosesH4872 had commandedH6680 to the frontH6440 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150, and the wholeH3605 congregationH5712 cameH7126 nearH7126 and stoodH5975 beforeH6440 the LordH3068. 6And MosesH4872 saidH559, “ThisH2088 is the thingH1697 whichH834 the LordH3068 has commandedH6680 you to doH6213, so that 4the gloryH3519 of the LordH3068 may appearH7200 to you.” 7MosesH4872 then saidH559 to AaronH175, “ComeH7126 nearH7126 to the altarH4196 and 56offerH6213 your sinH2403 offeringH2403 and your burntH5930 offeringH5930, so that you may makeH3722 atonementH3722 for yourself and for the peopleH5971; then makeH6213 the offeringH7133 7for the peopleH5971, so that you may makeH3722 atonementH3722 for them, justH3512 asH3512 the LordH3068 has commandedH6680.”
88So AaronH175 cameH7126 nearH7126 to the altarH4196 and slaughteredH7819 the calfH5695 of the sinH2403 offeringH2403 whichH834 was for himself. 99Aaron’sH175 sonsH1121 then presentedH7126 the bloodH1818 to him; and he dippedH2881 his fingerH676 in the bloodH1818 and 10putH5414 some on the hornsH7161 of the altarH4196, and pouredH3332 outH3332 the rest of the bloodH1818 at the baseH3247 of the altarH4196. 10The fatH2459 and the kidneysH3629 and the 11lobeH3508 of the liverH3516 of the sinH2403 offeringH2403 he then offeredH6999 upH6999 inH6999 smokeH6999 on the altarH4196, justH3512 asH3512 the LordH3068 had commandedH6680 MosesH4872. 1112The fleshH1320 and the hideH5785, however, he burnedH8313 with fireH784 outsideH4480H2351 the campH4264.
12Then he slaughteredH7819 the burntH5930 offeringH5930; and Aaron’sH175 sonsH1121 broughtH4672 the bloodH1818 to him, and he sprinkledH2236 it aroundH5439 on the altarH4196. 13They broughtH4672 the burntH5930 offeringH5930 to him in 13piecesH5409, with the headH7218, and he offeredH6999 them upH6999 inH6999 smokeH6999 on the altarH4196. 14He also washedH7364 the entrailsH7130 and the legsH3767, and offeredH6999 them upH6999 inH6999 smokeH6999 with the burntH5930 offeringH5930 on the altarH4196.
15Then he presentedH7126 the people’sH5971 offeringH7133, and tookH3947 the 14goatH5795 of the sinH2403 offeringH2403 whichH834 was for the peopleH5971, and slaughteredH7819 it and offeredH2398 it forH2398 sinH2398, like the firstH7223. 16He also presentedH7126 the burntH5930 offeringH5930, and 15offeredH6213 it according to 16the ordinanceH4941. 17Next he presentedH7126 17the grain offeringH4503, and filledH4390 his 18handH3709 with someH4480 of it and offeredH6999 it upH6999 inH6999 smokeH6999 on the altarH4196, 19besidesH4480H905 the burntH5930 offeringH5930 of the morningH1242.
18Then 20he slaughteredH7819 the oxH7794 and the ramH352, the sacrificeH2077 of peaceH8002 offeringsH8002 whichH834 was for the peopleH5971; and Aaron’sH175 sonsH1121 broughtH4672 the bloodH1818 to him, and he sprinkledH2236 it aroundH5439 on the altarH4196. 19As for the portionsH2459 of fatH2459 from the oxH7794 and from the ramH352, the fatH451 tailH451, the fat 21coveringH4374, the kidneysH3629, and the 22lobeH3508 of the liverH3516, 20they now placedH7760 the portionsH2459 of fatH2459 on the breastsH2373; and he offeredH6999 23them upH6999 inH6999 smokeH6999 on the altarH4196. 21But 24the breastsH2373 and the rightH3225 thighH7785 AaronH175 25presentedH5130 as a waveH8573 offeringH8573 beforeH6440 the LordH3068, justH3512 asH3512 MosesH4872 had commandedH6680.
22Then AaronH175 liftedH5375 upH5375 his handsH3027 towardH413 the peopleH5971 and 26blessedH1288 them, and he steppedH3381 downH3381 after makingH6213 the sinH2403 offeringH2403, the burntH5930 offeringH5930, and the peaceH8002 offeringsH8002. 23And MosesH4872 and AaronH175 wentH935 into the tentH168 of meetingH4150. When they cameH3318 outH3318 and blessedH1288 the peopleH5971, 27the gloryH3519 of the LordH3068 appearedH7200 to allH3605 the peopleH5971. 2428Then fireH784 wentH3318 outH3318 from the LordH3068 and consumedH398 the burntH5930 offeringH5930 and the portionsH2459 of fatH2459 on the altarH4196; and when allH3605 the peopleH5971 sawH7200 it, they shoutedH7442 and fellH5307 29faceH6440 downward.
