18The JewsἸουδαῖοιIoudaioiG2453thenοὖνounG3767did not believeἐπίστευσανepisteusanG4100itaboutπερὶperiG4012him, that he had beenἦνēnG1510blindτυφλὸςtuphlosG5185and had receivedG308sightἀνέβλεψενaneblepsenG308,untilἕωςhe'ōsG2193they calledἐφώνησανephōnēsanG5455the parentsγονεῖςgoneisG1118of the veryαὐτοῦautouG846oneαὐτοῦautouG846who had receivedG308his sightἀναβλέψαντος,anablepsantosG308,

19and they questionedἠρώτησανērōtēsanG2065them, sayingλέγοντες·legontesG3004, “Is thisοὗτόςhoutosG3778your sonυἱὸςhuiosG5207,whoὃνhonG3739you sayλέγετεlegeteG3004was bornἐγεννήθη;egennēthēG1080blindτυφλὸςtuphlosG5185?ThenοὖνounG3767howπῶςpōsG4459does he nowἄρτι;¶artiG737seeβλέπειblepeiG991?”

20His parentsγονεῖςgoneisG1118thenοὖνounG3767answeredἀπεκρίθησανapekrithēsanG611and saidG3004, “We knowG3609that thisοὗτόςhoutosG3778is our sonυἱὸςhuiosG5207,and that he was bornἐγεννήθη·egennēthēG1080blindτυφλὸςtuphlosG5185;

21but howπῶςpōsG4459he nowνῦνnunG3568seesβλέπειblepeiG991,we do not knowG3609;orἢēG2228whoτίςtisG5101openedἤνοιξενēnoixenG455his eyesὀφθαλμοὺςophthalmousG3788,we do not knowG3609.Askἐρωτήσατε,erōtēsateG2065him; he is of ageἡλικίανhēlikianG2244,he will speakλαλήσει.¶lalēseiG2980for himselfἑαυτοῦhe'autouG1438.”
