12For we do not presumeτολμῶμενtolmōmenG5111to rankἐγκρῖναιegkrinaiG1469orἢēG2228compareσυγκρῖναιsugkrinaiG4793ourselvesἑαυτούςhe'autousG1438withsomeτισινtisinG5100of thoseτῶνtōnG3588whocommendσυνιστανόντων·sunistanontōnG4921themselvesἑαυτοὺςhe'autousG1438; but when theymeasureμετροῦντεςmetrountesG3354themselvesἑαυτοῖςhe'autoisG1438by themselvesἑαυτοὺςhe'autousG1438and compareσυγκρίνοντεςsugkrinontesG4793themselvesἑαυτοὺςhe'autousG1438with themselvesἑαυτοῖςhe'autoisG1438,they haveG4920noG3756understandingσυνιᾶσιν.suniasinG4920.
13But we will not boastκαυχησόμεθαkauchēsomethaG2744beyondεἰςeisG1519G280ourmeasureἄμετραametraG280, butwithinκατὰkataG2596the measureμέτρονmetronG3358of thedomainκανόνοςkanonosG2583whichοὗhouG3739GodθεὸςtheosG2316assignedἐμέρισενemerisenG3307to us as a measureμέτρουmetrouG3358,to reachἐφικέσθαιephikesthaiG2185evenκαὶkaiG2532as farἄχριachriG891as you.
14For we are not overextendingὑπερεκτείνομενhuperekteinomenG5239ourselvesἑαυτούς·he'autousG1438,as ifὡςhōsG5613we did not reachἐφικνούμενοιephiknoumenoiG2185to you, forwe were the firstG5348toG5348comeG5348evenκαὶkaiG2532as farἄχριachriG891as you in thegospelεὐαγγελίῳeuangeliōG2098of ChristΧριστοῦ·ChristouG5547;
15not boastingκαυχώμενοιkauchōmenoiG2744beyondεἰςeisG1519G280ourmeasureἄμετραametraG280, that is, inotherἀλλοτρίοιςallotrioisG245people’sG245laborsκόποις,kopoisG2873,but with the hopeἐλπίδαelpidaG1680that asyour faithπίστεωςpisteōsG4102growsαὐξανομένηςauxanomenēsG837, we will be,withinκατὰkataG2596ourdomainκανόναkanonaG2583,enlargedμεγαλυνθῆναιmegalunthēnaiG3170evenεἰςeisG1519moreπερισσείαν,perisseianG4050by you,
