The Ark Returned to Israel

1Now the arkאֲרוֹן־'a.ron-H727of the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068had beenוַיְהִ֧יvay.HiH1961in the territoryבִּשְׂדֵ֥הbis.DehH7704of the Philistinesפְלִשְׁתִּ֖יםfe.lish.TimH6430for sevenשִׁבְעָ֥הshiv.'AhH7651monthsחֳדָשִֽׁים׃cho.da.ShimH2320.

2Andthe Philistinesפְלִשְׁתִּ֗יםfe.lish.TimH6430calledוַיִּקְרְא֣וּvai.yik.re.'UH7121for the priestsלַכֹּהֲנִ֤יםla.ko.ha.NimH3548and the divinersוְלַקֹּֽסְמִים֙ve.la.ko.se.MimH7080,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “Whatמַֽה־mah-H4100are we to doנַּעֲשֶׂ֖הna.'a.SehH6213with the arkלַאֲר֣וֹןla.'a.RonH727of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068?Tellהוֹדִעֻ֕נוּho.di.'U.nuH3045ushowבַּמֶּ֖הba.MehH4100we may sendנְשַׁלְּחֶ֥נּוּne.shal.le.Che.nuH7971it to its placeלִמְקוֹמֽוֹ׃lim.ko.MoH4725.”

3And they saidוַיֹּאמְר֗וּvai.yo.me.RuH559, “Ifאִֽם־'im-H518you are going to sendמְשַׁלְּחִ֞יםme.sha.le.ChimH7971the arkאֲר֨וֹן'a.RonH727of the Godאֱלֹהֵ֤י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478awayתְּשַׁלְּח֤וּte.sha.le.ChuH7971,do not sendH7971it emptyרֵיקָ֔םrei.KamH7387;but you shall certainlyהָשֵׁ֥בha.ShevH7725returnתָּשִׁ֛יבוּta.Shi.vuH7725to Him a guiltאָשָׁ֑ם'a.ShamH817offeringH817.Thenאָ֤ז'azH227you will be healedתֵּרָֽפְאוּ֙te.ra.fe.'UH7495,and it will be revealedוְנוֹדַ֣עve.no.Da'H3045to you whyלָ֛מָּהLa.mahH4100His handיָד֖וֹya.DoH3027does not leaveתָס֥וּרta.SurH5493you.”

8Then takeוּלְקַחְתֶּ֞םu.le.kach.TemH3947the arkאֲר֣וֹן'a.RonH727of the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068and placeוּנְתַתֶּ֤םu.ne.ta.TemH5414it on the cartהָ֣עֲגָלָ֔הha.'a.ga.LahH5699;and putתָּשִׂ֥ימוּta.Si.muH7760the articlesכְּלֵ֣יke.LeiH3627of goldהַזָּהָ֗בha.za.HavH2091whichאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834you returnהֲשֵׁבֹתֶ֥םha.she.vo.TemH7725to Him asa guiltאָשָׁ֔ם'a.ShamH817offeringH817in a saddlebagבָאַרְגַּ֖זva.'ar.GazH712by its sideמִצִּדּ֑וֹmi.tzi.DoH6654.Then sendוְשִׁלַּחְתֶּ֥םve.shi.lach.TemH7971it awayH7971that it may goוְהָלָֽךְ׃ve.ha.LakhH1980.

21So they sentוַֽיִּשְׁלְחוּ֙vai.yish.le.ChuH7971messengersמַלְאָכִ֔יםmal.'a.KhimH4397to the inhabitantsיוֹשְׁבֵ֥יyo.she.VeiH3427ofKiriath-jearimH7157,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, “The Philistinesפְלִשְׁתִּים֙fe.lish.TimH6430have broughtH7725backהֵשִׁ֤בוּhe.Shi.vuH7725the arkאֲר֣וֹן'a.RonH727of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068;comeרְד֕וּre.DuH3381downH3381and takeH5927it upH5927to yourselves.”
