Psalms 71:5-18
5For You are my 1hopeH8615; O LordH136 2GodH3068, You are my 3confidenceH4009 from my youthH5271.64By You I have been 5sustainedH5564 from my birthH990; You are He who 6tookH1491 me from my mother’sH517 wombH990; My 7praiseH8416 is continuallyH8548 8of You.
7I have becomeH1961 a 9marvelH4159 to manyH7227, For You are 10my strongH5797 refugeH4268.8My 11mouthH6310 is filledH4390 with Your praiseH8416 And with 12Your gloryH8597 allH3605 dayH3117 long.9Do not castH7993 me offH7993 in the 13timeH6256 of oldH2209 ageH2209; Do not forsakeH5800 me when my strengthH3581 failsH3615.10For my enemiesH340 have spokenH559 14against me; And those who 15watchH8104 for my 16lifeH5315 17have consultedH3289 togetherH3164,11SayingH559, “18GodH430 has forsakenH5800 him; PursueH7291 and seizeH8610 him, for thereH369 is 19noH369 oneH369 to deliverH5337.”
12O GodH430, 20do not be farH7368 from me; O my GodH430, 21hastenH2363 to my helpH5833!13Let those who are adversariesH7853 of my soulH5315 be 22ashamedH954 and consumedH3615; Let them be 23coveredH5844 with reproachH2781 and dishonorH3639, who 24seekH1245 25to injureH7463 me.14But as for me, I will 26hopeH3176 continuallyH8548, And will 2728praiseH8416 You yetH3254 moreH3254 and moreH3254.15My 29mouthH6310 shall tellH5608 of Your righteousnessH6666 And of 30Your salvationH8668 allH3605 dayH3117 long; For I 31do not knowH3045 the 32sumH5615 of them.16I will comeH935 33with the mightyH1369 deedsH1369 of the LordH136 34GodH3068; I will 35makeH2142 mentionH2142 of Your righteousnessH6666, Yours aloneH905.
17O GodH430, You 36have taughtH3925 me from my youthH5271, And I stillH5704H2008 37declareH5046 Your wondrousH6381 deedsH6381.18And evenH1571 whenH5704 I am 38oldH2209 and grayH7872, O GodH430, do not forsakeH5800 me, UntilH5704 I 39declareH5046 Your 40strengthH2220 to this generationH1755, Your powerH1369 to allH3605 who are to comeH935.
