1 Corinthians 8:4-8
4ThereforeG3767 concerningG4012 the eatingG1035 of 1thingsG1494 sacrificedG1494 to idolsG1494, we knowG3609 that 2there is 3noG3762 such thingG3762 as an idolG1497 in the worldG2889, and that 4there is noG3762 GodG2316 but oneG1520. 5For evenG2532 ifG1512 5there are so-calledG3004 godsG2316 whetherG1535 in heavenG3772 orG1535 on earthG1093, as indeedG5618 there are manyG4183 godsG2316 and manyG4183 lordsG2962, 6yetG235 for us 6there is but oneG1520 GodG2316, 7the FatherG3962, 8from whomG3739 are allG3956 thingsG3956 and we exist for Him; and 9oneG1520 LordG2962, JesusG2424 ChristG5547, 10by whomG3739 are allG3956 thingsG3956, and we exist throughG1223 Him.
7HoweverG235 not allG3956 menG3956 11have thisG3588 knowledgeG1108; but 12someG5100, being accustomedG4914 to the idolG1497 untilG2193 nowG737, eatG2068 food as ifG5613 it were sacrificedG1494 to an idolG1494; and their conscienceG4893 beingG1510 weakG772 is defiledG3435. 8But 13foodG1033 will not 14commendG3936 us to GodG2316; we are neitherG3777 15the worseG5302 ifG1437 we do not eatG2068, norG3777 16the betterG4052 ifG1437 we do eatG2068.
