Corinthians 8:4-8
ConcerningG4012 thereforeG3767 the eatingG1035 of things sacrificed to idolsG1497, we know that no idolG1497 is anything in the worldG2889, and that there is no GodG2316 but oneG1520.
For though there beG1510 that areG1510 called godsG2316, whether in heavenG3772 or on earthG1093; as there areG1510 godsG2316 manyG4183, and lordsG2962 manyG4183;
yet to us there is oneG1520 GodG2316, the FatherG3962, of whom are all thingsG3956, and we unto him; and oneG1520 LordG2962, JesusG2424 ChristG5547, through whom are all thingsG3956, and we through him.
Howbeit there isG1510 not in all men that knowledgeG1108: but some, beingG1510 used until nowG1161 to the idolG1497, eatG2068 as of a thing sacrificed to an idolG1497; and their conscienceG4893 beingG1510 weakG772 isG1510 defiled.
But foodG1033 will not commend us to GodG2316: neither, if we eatG2068 not, are we the worse; nor, if we eatG2068, are we the better.
