16Howeverἀλλ᾽all᾽G235, theydid not allπάντεςpantesG3956heedὑπήκουσανhupēkousanG5219thegoodG2098newsG2098;for IsaiahἨσαΐαςĒsaiasG2268saysλέγει·legeiG3004, “Lordκύριε,kurieG2962,whoτίςtisG5101has believedἐπίστευσενepisteusenG4100our reportἀκοῇakoēaG189?”

17SoἄραaraG686faithπίστιςpistisG4102comes fromhearingἀκοῆςakoēsG189,and hearingἀκοὴakoēG189bythe wordῥήματοςrhēmatosG4487of ChristΧριστοῦ.ChristouG5547.

18But I sayλέγω·legōG3004,surelyG3361they have neverοὐκoukG3361 G3756heardἤκουσαν;ēkousanG191,have they? 20And IsaiahἨσαΐαςĒsaiasG2268is veryG662boldG662and saysλέγει·legeiG3004, “I was foundεὑρέθηνheurethēnG2147by thoseτοῖςtoisG3588who did not seekζητοῦσιν,zētousinG2212Me,I becameἐγενόμηνegenomēnG1096manifestἐμφανὴςemphanēsG1717to thoseτοῖςtoisG3588who did not askἐπερωτῶσιν.eperōtōsinG1905for Me.”

21But as for IsraelἸσραὴλIsraēlG2474He saysλέγει·legeiG3004, “AllὅληνholēnG3650the dayἡμέρανhēmeranG2250long I have stretchedἐξεπέτασαexepetasaG1600out My handsχεῖράςcheirasG5495to a disobedientἀπειθοῦνταapeithountaG544and obstinateἀντιλέγοντα.¶antilegontaG483peopleλαὸνlaonG2992.”
