49While He was stillἜτιEtiG2089speakingλαλοῦντοςlalountosG2980,someoneτιςtisG5100cameἔρχεταίerchetaiG2064from the house ofthe synagogueἀρχισυναγώγουarchisunagōgouG752officialG752,sayingλέγωνlegōnG3004, “Your daughterθυγάτηρthugatērG2364has diedτέθνηκενtethnēkenG2348;do not troubleσκύλλεskulleG4660the Teacherδιδάσκαλον.didaskalonG1320anymoreμηκέτιmēketiG3371.”

50But when JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424heardἀκούσαςakousasG191this,He answeredἀπεκρίθηapekrithēG611him, “Do not be afraidφοβοῦ·phobouG5399any longer;onlyG3440believeπίστευσον,pisteusonG4100, and she will bemadeG4982wellG4982.”

51When He cameἐλθὼνelthōnG2064to the houseοἰκίανoikianG3614,He did not allowἀφῆκενaphēkenG863anyoneτιναtinaG5100to enterεἰσελθεῖνeiseltheinG1525with Him, exceptG1508PeterΠέτρονPetronG4074and JohnἸωάννηνIōannēnG2491and JamesἸάκωβον,IakōbonG2385,and the girl’sπαιδὸςpaidosG3816fatherπατέραpateraG3962and motherμητέρα.mēteraG3384.

52NowG1161they were allπάντεςpantesG3956weepingἔκλαιονeklaionG2799andlamentingἐκόπτοντοekoptontoG2875for her; but He saidG3004,“StopμὴmēG3361weepingκλαίετε·klaieteG2799,for she has not diedἀπέθανενapethanenG599, butis asleepκαθεύδει.katheudeiG2518.”

53And they beganlaughingκατεγέλωνkategelōnG2606at Him, knowingG3609that she had diedἀπέθανεν.apethanenG599.

54He, howeverδὲdeG1161,tookκρατήσαςkratēsasG2902her by the handχειρὸςcheirosG5495and calledἐφώνησενephōnēsenG5455,sayingλέγων·legōnG3004,“Childπαῖς,paisG3816,ariseἔγειρε.egeireG1453!”

55And her spiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151returnedἐπέστρεψενepestrepsenG1994,and she gotἀνέστηanestēG450up immediatelyπαραχρῆμα,parachrēmaG3916;and He gaveG1299ordersG1299for somethingto be givenδοθῆναιdothēnaiG1325her to eatG2068.

56Her parentsγονεῖςgoneisG1118were amazedἐξέστησανexestēsanG1839; but HeinstructedπαρήγγειλενparēngeilenG3853them to tellG3004noG3367oneμηδενὶmēdeniG3367what had happenedγεγονός.¶gegonosG1096.
