4gotἐγείρεταιegeiretaiG1453up from supperδείπνουdeipnouG1173,and laidτίθησινtithēsinG5087asideG5087His garmentsἱμάτια,himatiaG2440;and takingλαβὼνlabōnG2983a towelλέντιονlentionG3012, HegirdedδιέζωσενdiezōsenG1241Himselfἑαυτόν.he'autonG1438.

5ThenεἶταeitaG1534He pouredβάλλειballeiG906waterὕδωρhudōrG5204into the basinνιπτῆραniptēraG3537,and beganἤρξατοērxatoG757towashνίπτεινnipteinG3538the disciples’μαθητῶνmathētōnG3101feetπόδαςpodasG4228and to wipeἐκμάσσεινekmasseinG1591them with the towelλεντίῳlentiōG3012with whichᾧhōG3739He was girdedδιεζωσμένος.¶diezōsmenosG1241.

7JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424answeredἀπεκρίθηapekrithēG611and saidG3004to him,“WhatὃhoG3739I doποιῶ,poiōG4160you do not realizeG3609nowἄρτι,artiG737,but you will understandγνώσῃgnōsēG1097hereafterμετὰ ταῦτα.meta tautaG3326 G3778.”
