2Oneאֶחָ֗ד'e.ChadH259basketהַדּ֣וּדha.DudH1731had veryמְאֹ֔דme.'OdH3966goodטֹב֣וֹתto.VotH2896figsתְּאֵנִים֙te.'e.NimH8384, likefirst-ripeהַבַּכֻּר֑וֹתha.ba.ku.RotH1063figsכִּתְאֵנֵ֖יkit.'e.NeiH8384,and the otherאֶחָ֗ד'e.ChadH259basketוְהַדּ֣וּדve.ha.DudH1731hadveryמְאֹ֔דme.'OdH3966badרָע֣וֹתra.'otH7451figsתְּאֵנִים֙te.'e.NimH8384whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834could not be eatenתֵֽאָכַ֖לְנָהte.'a.Khal.nahH398dueH4480to rottennessמֵרֹֽעַ׃ סme.Ro.a'H7455.

3Then the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to me, “Whatמָֽה־mah-H4100do you seeרֹאֶה֙ro.'EhH7200,Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֔הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414?”And I saidוָאֹמַ֖רva.'o.MarH559, “Figsתְּאֵנִ֑יםte.'e.NimH8384,the goodהַטֹּבוֹת֙ha.tOtH2896figsהַתְּאֵנִ֤יםha.te.'e.NimH8384,veryמְאֹ֔דme.'OdH3966goodטֹב֣וֹתto.VotH2896;and the badוְהָֽרָעוֹת֙ve.ha.ra.'OtH7451figs,veryמְאֹ֔דme.'OdH3966badרָע֣וֹתra.'otH7451,whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834cannotלֹא־lo'-H3808be eatenתֵאָכַ֖לְנָהte.'a.Khal.nahH398dueH4480to rottennessמֵרֹֽעַ׃ פme.Ro.a'H7455.”

4Then the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068cameוַיְהִ֥יvay.HiH1961to me, sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

5“Thusכֹּֽה־koh-H3541saysאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478, ‘Like theseהָאֵ֑לֶּהha.'E.lehH428goodH2896figsכַּתְּאֵנִ֥יםka.te.'e.NimH8384,soכֵּֽן־ken-H3651I will regardאַכִּ֞יר'a.KirH5234as goodH2899the captivesגָּל֣וּתga.LutH1546of Judahיְהוּדָ֗הye.hu.DahH3063,whomאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834I have sentשִׁלַּ֜חְתִּיshi.Lach.tiH7971out of thisהַזֶּ֛הha.ZehH2088placeהַמָּק֥וֹםha.ma.KomH4725intothe landאֶ֥רֶץ'E.retzH776of the Chaldeansכַּשְׂדִּ֖יםkas.DimH3778.

6For I will setוְשַׂמְתִּ֨יve.sam.TiH7760My eyesעֵינִ֤י'ei.NiH5869on them for goodH2899, and I willbringוַהֲשִׁבֹתִ֖יםva.ha.shi.vo.TimH7725them againH7725to thisH2088landהָאָ֣רֶץha.'A.retzH776; and I willbuildוּבְנִיתִים֙u.ve.ni.TimH1129them up and not overthrowאֶהֱרֹ֔ס'e.he.RosH2040them, and I willplantוּנְטַעְתִּ֖יםu.ne.ta'.TimH5193them and not pluckאֶתּֽוֹשׁ׃'e.To.oshH5428them up.

7I will giveוְנָתַתִּי֩ve.na.ta.TiH5414them aheartלֵ֜בlevH3820to knowלָדַ֣עַתla.Da.'atH3045Me, for I am the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068; and they will beMy peopleלְעָ֔םle.'AmH5971,and I will be their Godלֵאלֹהִ֑יםle.lo.HimH430, for they willreturnיָשֻׁ֥בוּya.Shu.vuH7725to Me with their wholeבְּכָל־be.kholH3605heartלִבָּֽם׃ סli.BamH3820.

9I willmakeוּנְתַתִּים֙u.ne.ta.TimH5414them a terrorH2113and anevilH7463for allלְכֹ֖לle.KholH3605the kingdomsמַמְלְכ֣וֹתmam.le.KhotH4467of the earthהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776, as areproachלְחֶרְפָּ֤הle.cher.PahH2781and a proverbוּלְמָשָׁל֙u.le.ma.ShalH4912,a tauntלִשְׁנִינָ֣הlish.ni.NahH8148and acurseוְלִקְלָלָ֔הve.lik.la.LahH7045in allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605placesהַמְּקֹמ֖וֹתha.me.ko.MotH4725whereאֲשֶֽׁר־ שָֽׁם׃'a.Sher- ShamH834 H8033I will scatterאַדִּיחֵ֥ם'a.di.ChemH5080them.

10I will sendוְשִׁלַּ֣חְתִּיve.shi.Lach.tiH7971theswordהַחֶ֖רֶבha.Che.revH2719,the famineהָרָעָ֣בha.ra.'AvH7458and the pestilenceהַדָּ֑בֶרha.Da.verH1698upon them untilעַד־'ad-H5704they are destroyedתֻּמָּם֙tu.MamH8552from the landהָאֲדָמָ֔הha.'a.da.MahH127whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834I gaveנָתַ֥תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414to them and their forefathersוְלַאֲבוֹתֵיהֶֽם׃ פve.la.'a.vo.tei.HemH1.’”
