19They wentἐξῆλθανexēlthanG1831out from us, but they were not reallyof us; for ifεἰeiG1487they had beenG1510of us, they would have remainedμεμενήκεισανmemenēkeisanG3306with us; but they went out,soἵναinaG2443thatit would be shownφανερωθῶσινphanerōthōsinG5319that they allπάντεςpantesG3956are not of us.

20But you haveἔχετεecheteG2192ananointingχρῖσμαchrismaG5545fromthe HolyἁγίουhagiouG40OneG40, andyou allπάντες.pantesG3956knowG3609.

23WhoeverπᾶςpasG3956deniesἀρνούμενοςarnoumenosG720the SonυἱὸνhuionG5207does not haveἔχει·echeiG2192the FatherπατέραpateraG3962;the one who confessesὁμολογῶνhomologōnG3670the SonυἱὸνhuionG5207hasἔχει.¶echeiG2192the FatherπατέραpateraG3962alsoκαὶkaiG2532.

24As for you, let that abideμενέτω.menetōG3306in you whichὃhoG3739you heardἠκούσατεēkousateG191from the beginningἀρχῆςarchēsG746.IfἐὰνeanG1437whatὃhoG3739you heardἠκούσατε,ēkousateG191from the beginningἀρχῆςarchēsG746abidesμείνῃmeinēG3306in you, you alsoG2532will abideμενεῖτε.meneiteG3306in the SonυἱῷhuiōG5207and in the FatherπατρὶpatriG3962.

25ThisαὕτηhautēG3778is the promiseἐπαγγελίαepangeliaG1860whichἣνhēnG3739He HimselfαὐτὸςautosG846madeἐπηγγείλατοepēngeilatoG1861to us: eternalαἰώνιον.¶aiōnionG166lifeζωὴνzōēnG2222.
