Zechariah 11
Darby Bible
1OpenH6605 thy doorsH1817, O LebanonH3844, that the fireH784 may devourH398 thy cedarsH730. 2Howl, cypressH1265, for the cedarH730 is fallenH5307; because the noble onesH117 are spoiled. Howl, ye oaksH437 of BashanH1316; for the strong forestH3293 is comeH3381 down. 3A voiceH6963 of howling of the shepherdsH7462; for their glory is spoiled: a voiceH6963 of roaringH7581 of youngH3715 lionsH3715; for the prideH1347 of JordanH3383 is spoiled. 4ThusH3541 saith Jehovah my 1GodH430: FeedH7462 the flockH6629 of slaughterH2028, 5whose possessors slayH2026 them without being held guiltyH816; and they that sellH4376 them sayH559, BlessedH1288 be Jehovah! for I am becomeH6238 richH6238; and their own shepherdsH7462 pityH2550 them not. 6For I will no more pityH2550 the inhabitantsH3427 of the landH776, saith Jehovah, and behold, I will deliverH5337 menH376, every oneH376 into his neighbour's handH3027, and into the handH3027 of his kingH4428; and they shall smite the landH776, and I will not deliverH5337 out of their handH3027. 7So I fed the flockH6629 of slaughterH2028, truly the poorH6041 of the flockH6629. And I tookH3947 unto me twoH8147 staves; the oneH259 I calledH7121 Beauty, and the other I calledH7121 Bands; and I fed the flockH6629. 8And I destroyedH3582 threeH7969 shepherdsH7462 in oneH259 monthH3391; and my soulH5315 was vexed with them, and their soulH5315 alsoH1571 loathed me. 9And I saidH559, I will not feed you: that which dieth, let it dieH4191; and that which perisheth let it perish; and let them which are leftH7604 eatH398 every one the fleshH1320 of another. 10And I tookH3947 my staffH4731, Beauty, and cutH3772 it asunder, that I might breakH6565 my covenantH1285 which I had madeH3772 with all the peoplesH5971. 11And it was brokenH6565 in that dayH3117; and so the poorH6041 of the flockH6629 that gave heedH8104 to me knewH3045 that it was the wordH1697 of Jehovah. 12And I saidH559 unto them, If ye think goodH2896, giveH3051 [me] my hireH7939; and if not, forbear. And they weighedH8254 for my hireH7939 thirtyH7970 silver-pieces. 13And Jehovah saidH559 unto me, CastH7993 it unto the potterH3335: a goodly price that I was prized at by them. And I tookH3947 the thirtyH7970 silver-pieces, and castH7993 them to the potterH3335 in the houseH1004 of Jehovah. 14And I cutH1438 asunder mine other staffH4731, Bands, to breakH6565 the brotherhood between JudahH3063 and IsraelH3478. 15And Jehovah saidH559 unto me, TakeH3947 unto thee yetH5750 the instrumentsH3627 of a foolish shepherdH7462. 16For behold, I will raiseH6965 up a shepherdH7462 in the landH776, who shall not visitH6485 those that are about to perish, neither shall seekH1245 that which is strayed away, nor healH7495 that which is wounded, nor feed that which is sound; but he will eatH398 the fleshH1320 of the fatH1277, and tearH6561 their hoofsH6541 in pieces. 17WoeH1945 to the worthlessH457 shepherd that leaveth the flockH6629! The swordH2719 shall be upon his armH2220, and upon his rightH3225 eyeH5869; his armH2220 shall be clean driedH3001 up, and his rightH3225 eyeH5869 utterly darkened.
