Zechariah 12

Darby Bible

1The burdenH4853 of the wordH1697 of Jehovah concerning IsraelH3478. [Thus] saith Jehovah, who stretcheth out the heavensH8064, and layeth the foundation of the earthH776, and formeth the spiritH7307 of manH120 within him: 2Behold, I will makeH7760 JerusalemH3389 a cup of bewilderment unto all the peoplesH5971 roundH5439 about, and alsoH1571 against JudahH3063 shall it beH1961 in the siegeH4692 against JerusalemH3389. 3And it shall come to pass in that dayH3117 [that] I will makeH7760 JerusalemH3389 a burdensome stoneH68 unto all peoplesH5971: all that burden themselves with it shall certainly beH1961 wounded, and all the nationsH1471 of the earthH776 shall beH1961 assembled together against it. 4In that dayH3117, saith Jehovah, I will smite every horseH5483 with astonishment, and his riderH7392 with madnessH7697; but I will openH6491 mine eyesH5869 upon the houseH1004 of JudahH3063, and will smite every horseH5483 of the peoplesH5971 with blindnessH5788. 5And the leaders of JudahH3063 shall sayH559 in their heartH3820, The inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389 shall be my strength through Jehovah of hostsH6635 their 1GodH430. 6In that dayH3117 will I makeH7760 the leaders of JudahH3063 like a hearth of fireH784 among woodH6086, and like a torchH3940 of fireH784 in a sheaf; and they shall devourH398 all the peoplesH5971 roundH5439 about, on the rightH3225 handH3225 and on the left; and JerusalemH3389 shall dwellH3427 againH5750 in her own placeH8478, in JerusalemH3389. 7And Jehovah shall saveH3467 the tentsH168 of JudahH3063 firstH7223, that the gloryH8597 of the houseH1004 of DavidH1732 and the gloryH8597 of the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389 be not magnifiedH1431 over JudahH3063. 8In that dayH3117 will Jehovah defendH1598 the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389; and he that stumbleth among them at that dayH3117 shall beH1961 as DavidH1732; and the houseH1004 of DavidH1732 as 2GodH430, as the AngelH4397 of Jehovah before them. 9And it shall comeH935 to pass in that dayH3117, [that] I will seekH1245 to destroyH8045 all the nationsH1471 that comeH935 against JerusalemH3389. 10And I will pourH8210 upon the houseH1004 of DavidH1732 and upon the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389 the spiritH7307 of graceH2580 and of supplicationsH8469; and they shall lookH5027 on me whom they piercedH1856, and they shall mournH5594 for him, as oneH834 mourneth for an onlyH3173 [sonH3173], and shall be in bitterness for him, as oneH834 that is in bitterness for [his] firstbornH1060. 11In that dayH3117 shall there be a greatH1431 mourningH4553 in JerusalemH3389, as the mourningH4553 of Hadad-rimmon in the valleyH1237 of Megiddon. 12And the landH776 shall mournH5594, every familyH4940 apartH905: the familyH4940 of the houseH1004 of DavidH1732 apartH905, and their wivesH802 apartH905; the familyH4940 of the houseH1004 of NathanH5416 apartH905, and their wivesH802 apartH905; 13the familyH4940 of the houseH1004 of LeviH3878 apartH905, and their wivesH802 apartH905; the familyH4940 of Shimei apartH905, and their wivesH802 apartH905; 14all the familiesH4940 that remainH7604, every familyH4940 apartH905, and their wivesH802 apartH905.
