Judges 17
Darby Bible
1And there was a manH376 of mount EphraimH669, whose nameH8034 was Micah. 2And he saidH559 to his motherH517, The eleven hundredH3967 silver-pieces that were takenH3947 from thee, and about which thou didst curse and speak of in mine earsH241, behold, the silverH3701 is with me; I tookH3947 it. And his motherH517 saidH559, BlessedH1288 be my sonH1121 of Jehovah! 3And he restoredH7725 the eleven hundredH3967 silver-pieces to his motherH517; and his motherH517 saidH559, I had dedicated the silverH3701 to Jehovah from my handH3027 for my sonH1121, to makeH6213 a graven imageH6459 and a molten imageH6459; and nowH6258 I will restoreH7725 it to thee. 4Now he restoredH7725 the silverH3701 to his motherH517; and his motherH517 tookH3947 two hundredH3967 silver-pieces and gaveH5414 them to the founder, and he madeH6213 of them a graven imageH6459 and a molten imageH6459; and they wereH1961 in the houseH1004 of Micah. 5And the manH376 MicahH4318 had a houseH1004 of 1godsH430, and madeH6213 an ephodH646 and teraphimH8655, and consecrated oneH259 of his sonsH1121, who becameH1961 his priestH3548. 6In those daysH3117 there was no kingH4428 in IsraelH3478; every manH376 did what was rightH3477 in his own eyesH5869. 7And there wasH1961 a youngH5288 manH5288 out of Bethlehem-Judah of the familyH4940 of JudahH3063, who wasH1961 a LeviteH3881, and he sojourned there. 8And the manH376 departed from the cityH5892, from Bethlehem-Judah, to sojourn whereH834 he might findH4672 [a place]. And as he journeyed, he cameH935 to mount EphraimH669, to the houseH1004 of MicahH4318. 9And MicahH4318 saidH559 to him, Whence comest thou? And he saidH559 to him, I am a LeviteH3881 of Bethlehem-Judah, and I goH1980 to sojourn whereH834 I may findH4672 [a place]. 10And MicahH4318 saidH559 to him, DwellH3427 with me, and beH1961 to me a fatherH1 and a priestH3548, and I will giveH5414 thee yearly tenH6235 silver-pieces, and a suit of garmentsH899, and thy victuals. And the LeviteH3881 went in. 11And the LeviteH3881 wasH1961 content to dwellH3427 with the manH376; and the youngH5288 manH376 wasH1961 to him as oneH259 of his sonsH1121. 12And MicahH4318 consecrated the LeviteH3881; and the youngH5288 manH5288 becameH1961 his priestH3548, and wasH1961 in the houseH1004 of MicahH4318. 13Then saidH559 MicahH4318, NowH6258 I knowH3045 that Jehovah will do me goodH3190, because I have the LeviteH3881 for priestH3548.
