Darby Bible
1 Timothy 4:7-16
7But profaneG952 and old wives' fables avoid, but exercise thyself unto piety; 8for bodilyG4984 exercise isG1510 profitableG5624 for a littleG3641, but piety isG1510 profitableG5624 for everythingG3956, having promiseG1860 of lifeG2222, of the presentG3568 oneG3588, and of that to comeG3195. 9The wordG3056 [is] faithfulG4103 and worthyG514 of all acceptation; 10for, for this we labour and suffer reproach, because we hopeG1679 in a livingG2198 1GodG2316, who isG1510 preserver of all menG444, specially of those that believe. 11Enjoin and teachG1321 these thingsG3778. 12Let no oneG3367 despiseG2706 thy youthG3503, but be a model of the believersG4103, in wordG3056, in conductG391, in loveG26, in faithG4102, in purityG47. 13Till I comeG2064, give thyself to readingG320, to exhortationG3874, to teachingG1319. 14Be not negligent of the giftG5486 [that is] in thee, which has been givenG1325 to thee through prophecyG4394, with imposition of the handsG5495 of the elderhood. 15Occupy thyself with these thingsG3778; beG1510 wholly in them, that thy progressG4297 may beG1510 manifest to all. 16Give heed to thyself and to the teachingG1319; continueG1961 in them; for, doing this, thou shalt saveG4982 both thyself and those that hearG191 thee.
