The son H1121 shall not bear יִשָּׂ֣א׀ yi.Sa' H5375 the iniquity בַּעֲוֹ֣ן ba.'a.Von H5771 of the father H1 , neither shall the father H1 bear יִשָּׂא֙ yi.Sa' H5375 the iniquity בַּעֲוֹ֣ן ba.'a.Von H5771 of the son H1121 ; the righteousness צִדְקַ֤ת tzid.Kat H6666 of the righteous הַצַּדִּיק֙ ha.tza.Dik H6662 shall be תִּֽהְיֶ֔ה tih.Yeh H1961 upon him , and the wickedness וְרִשְׁעַ֥ת ve.rish.'At H7564 of the wicked הָרָשָׁ֖ע ha.ra.sha' H7563 shall be תִּֽהְיֶֽה׃ ס Tih.Yeh H1961 upon him . 21 And the wicked וְהָרָשָׁ֗ע ve.ha.ra.Sha' H7563 , if he turn יָשׁוּב֙ ya.Shuv H7725 from all his sins חַטֹּאתָיו֙ cha.ta.tov H2403 which he hath committed , and keep וְשָׁמַר֙ ve.sha.Mar H8104 all my statutes H2708 , and do judgment H4941 and justice מִשְׁפָּ֖ט mish.Pat H4941 , he shall certainly live H2421 , he shall not die יָמֽוּת׃ ya.Mut H4191 . 22 None of his transgressions פְּשָׁעָיו֙ pe.sha.'Av H6588 which he hath committed shall be remembered יִזָּכְר֖וּ yi.za.khe.Ru H2142 against him ; in his righteousness בְּצִדְקָת֥וֹ be.tzid.ka.To H6666 which he hath done shall he live יִֽחְיֶֽה׃ Yich.Yeh H2421 . 23 Have I any pleasure H2654 at all in the death מ֣וֹת Mot H4194 of the wicked רָשָׁ֔ע ra.Sha' H7563 ? saith the Lord אֲדֹנָ֣י 'a.do.Nai H136 Jehovah; is it not in his turning H7725 from his way מִדְּרָכָ֖יו mi.de.ra.Khav H1870 , that he may live וְחָיָֽה׃ ס ve.cha.Yah H2421 ? 24 And when H834 the righteous צַדִּ֤יק tza.Dik H6662 turneth from his righteousness H6666 and practiseth what is wrong , [ and ] doeth according to all the abominations הַתּוֹעֵב֜וֹת ha.to.'e.Vot H8441 that the wicked הָרָשָׁ֛ע ha.ra.Sha' H7563 doeth, shall he live? None of his righteous H6662 acts H6213 which he hath done shall be remembered תִזָּכַ֔רְנָה ti.za.Khar.nah H2142 : in his unfaithfulness בְּמַעֲל֧וֹ be.ma.'a.Lo H4604 which he hath wrought, and in his sin H2398 which he hath sinned H2398 , in them shall he die יָמֽוּת׃ ya.Mut H4191 . 25 And ye say וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֕ם va.'a.mar.Tem H559 , The way דֶּ֣רֶךְ De.rekh H1870 of the Lord אֲדֹנָ֑י 'a.do.Nai H136 is not equal. Hear H8085 then , house בֵּ֣ית beit H1004 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל Yis.ra.'El H3478 . Is not my way הֲדַרְכִּי֙ ha.dar.Ki H1870 equal? are not your ways דַרְכֵיכֶ֖ם dar.khei.Khem H1870 unequal? 26 When H834 the righteous צַדִּ֧יק tza.Dik H6662 turneth away בְּשׁוּב־ be.shuv- H7725 from his righteousness מִצִּדְקָת֛וֹ mi.tzid.ka.To H6666 , and practiseth what is wrong , and dieth for it ; in his wrong that he hath done shall he die H4191 . 27 And when H834 the wicked רָשָׁ֗ע ra.Sha' H7563 turneth from his wickedness מֵֽרִשְׁעָתוֹ֙ me.rish.'a.To H7564 which he hath committed , and doeth judgment H4941 and justice מִשְׁפָּ֖ט mish.Pat H4941 , he shall keep his soul H5315 alive יְחַיֶּֽה׃ ye.chai.Yeh H2421 . 28 Because he considereth, and turneth from all his transgressions פְּשָׁעָ֖יו pe.sha.'Av H6588 which he hath committed , he shall certainly H4191 live H2421 , he shall not die יָמֽוּת׃ ya.Mut H4191 . 29 But the house בֵּ֣ית beit H1004 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל Yis.ra.'El H3478 say וְאָֽמְרוּ֙ ve.'a.me.Ru H559 , The way דֶּ֣רֶךְ De.rekh H1870 of the Lord אֲדֹנָ֑י 'a.do.Nai H136 is not equal. O house בֵּ֣ית beit H1004 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל Yis.ra.'El H3478 , are not my ways הַדְּרָכַ֞י ha.de.ra.Khai H1870 equal? Is it not your ways דַרְכֵיכֶ֖ם dar.khei.Khem H1870 that are unequal? 30 Therefore לָכֵן֩ la.Khen H3651 I will judge אֶשְׁפֹּ֤ט 'esh.Pot H8199 you , house בֵּ֣ית beit H1004 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל Yis.ra.'El H3478 , every one H376 according to his ways כִּדְרָכָ֜יו kid.ra.Khav H1870 , saith the Lord אֲדֹנָ֣י 'a.do.Nai H136 Jehovah.
