17But weוַאֲנַ֜חְנוּva.'a.Nach.nuH587will arm ourselvesנֵחָלֵ֣ץne.cha.LetzH2502and be readyחֻשִׁ֗יםchu.ShimH2363to go ahead ofלִפְנֵי֙lif.NeiH6440the Israelitesבְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔לbe.Nei Yis.ra.'ElH1121 H3478untilעַ֛ד'adH5704אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834אִם־'im-H518we have brought themהֲבִֽיאֹנֻ֖םha.vi.'o.NumH935intoאֶל־'el-H413their placeמְקוֹמָ֑םme.ko.MamH4725.Meanwhile, our little onesטַפֵּ֙נוּ֙ta.Pe.nuH2945will remainוְיָשַׁ֤בve.ya.ShavH3427in the fortifiedהַמִּבְצָ֔רha.miv.TzarH4013citiesבְּעָרֵ֣יbe.'a.ReiH5892for protection fromמִפְּנֵ֖יmi.pe.NeiH6440the inhabitantsיֹשְׁבֵ֥יyo.she.VeiH3427of the landהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.

18We will notלֹ֥אlo'H3808returnנָשׁ֖וּבna.ShuvH7725toאֶל־'el-H413our homesבָּתֵּ֑ינוּba.Tei.nuH1004untilעַ֗ד'AdH5704everyאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376Israeliteבְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔לbe.Nei Yis.ra.'ElH1121 H3478has taken possession ofהִתְנַחֵל֙hit.na.ChelH5157his inheritanceנַחֲלָתֽוֹ׃na.cha.la.ToH5159.

19Yetכִּ֣יkiH3588we will notלֹ֤אlo'H3808have an inheritanceנִנְחַל֙nin.ChalH5157with themאִתָּ֔ם'i.TamH854acrossמֵעֵ֥בֶרme.'E.verH5676the Jordanלַיַּרְדֵּ֖ןlai.yar.DenH3383and beyondוָהָ֑לְאָהva.Hal.'ahH1973,becauseכִּ֣י בָ֤אָהki Va.'ahH3588 H935our inheritanceנַחֲלָתֵ֙נוּ֙na.cha.la.Te.nuH5159has come to usאֵלֵ֔ינוּ'e.Lei.nuH413on the eastמִזְרָֽחָה׃ פmiz.Ra.chahH4217sideמֵעֵ֥בֶרme.'E.verH5676of the Jordanהַיַּרְדֵּ֖ןhai.yar.DenH3383.”

22then when the landהָאָ֜רֶץha.'A.retzH776is subduedוְנִכְבְּשָׁ֨הve.nikh.be.ShahH3533beforeלִפְנֵ֤יlif.NeiH6440the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068וְאַחַ֣רve.'a.CharH310,you may returnתָּשֻׁ֔בוּta.Shu.vuH7725and beוִהְיִיתֶ֧םvih.yi.TemH1961freeנְקִיִּ֛יםne.ki.YimH5355of obligation to the LORDמֵיְהוָ֖הme.Yah.wehH3068and to Israelוּמִיִּשְׂרָאֵ֑לu.mi.Yis.ra.'ElH3478.And thisהַזֹּ֥אתha.ZotH2063landהָאָ֨רֶץha.'A.retzH776will belongוְ֠הָיְתָהVe.ha.ye.tahH1961to youas a possessionלַאֲחֻזָּ֖הla.'a.chu.ZahH272beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440the LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

23But ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518you do notלֹ֤אlo'H3808doתַעֲשׂוּן֙ta.'a.SunH6213thisכֵּ֔ןKenH3651,you will certainlyהִנֵּ֥הhi.NehH2009sinחֲטָאתֶ֖םcha.ta.TemH2398against the LORDלַיהוָ֑הla.Yah.wehH3068—and be assured thatוּדְעוּ֙u.de.'UH3045your sinחַטַּאתְכֶ֔םcha.tat.KhemH2403אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834will find you outתִּמְצָ֖אtim.Tza'H4672אֶתְכֶֽם׃'et.KhemH853.

24Buildבְּנֽוּ־be.nu-H1129citiesעָרִים֙'a.RimH5892for yourlittle onesלְטַפְּכֶ֔םle.ta.pe.KhemH2945and foldsוּגְדֵרֹ֖תu.ge.de.RotH1448for your flocksלְצֹנַאֲכֶ֑םle.tzo.na.'a.KhemH6792,but doתַּעֲשֽׂוּ׃ta.'a.SuH6213what you have promisedוְהַיֹּצֵ֥א מִפִּיכֶ֖םve.hai.yo.Tze' mi.pi.KhemH3318 H6310.”

25The Gaditesבְּנֵי־ גָד֙be.nei- gadH1121 H1410and Reubenitesוּבְנֵ֣י רְאוּבֵ֔ןu.ve.Nei re.'u.VenH1121 H7205saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖ה לֵאמֹ֑רmo.Sheh le.MorH4872 H559, “Your servantsעֲבָדֶ֣יךָ'a.va.Dei.khaH5650will doיַעֲשׂ֔וּya.'a.SuH6213just asכַּאֲשֶׁ֥רka.'a.SherH834our lordאֲדֹנִ֖י'a.do.NiH113commandsמְצַוֶּֽה׃me.tza.VehH6680.

26Our childrenטַפֵּ֣נוּta.Pe.nuH2945,our wivesנָשֵׁ֔ינוּna.Shei.nuH802,our livestockמִקְנֵ֖נוּmik.Ne.nuH4735,and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605our animalsבְּהֶמְתֵּ֑נוּbe.hem.Te.nuH929will remainיִֽהְיוּ־yih.yu-H1961hereשָׁ֖םshamH8033in the citiesבְּעָרֵ֥יbe.'a.ReiH5892of Gileadהַגִּלְעָֽד׃ha.gil.'AdH1568.

27But your servantsוַעֲבָדֶ֨יךָva.'a.va.Dei.khaH5650are equippedחֲל֥וּץcha.LutzH2502for warצָבָ֛אtza.Va'H6635,and every manכָּל־kol-H3605will cross overיַֽעַבְר֜וּya.'av.RuH5674to the battleלַמִּלְחָמָ֑הla.mil.cha.MahH4421beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,just asכַּאֲשֶׁ֥רka.'a.SherH834our lordאֲדֹנִ֖י'a.do.NiH113saysדֹּבֵֽר׃do.VerH1696.”

28So Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872gave ordersוַיְצַ֤וvay.TzavH6680about themאֵ֚ת'etH853to Eleazarאֶלְעָזָ֣ר'el.'a.ZarH499the priestהַכֹּהֵ֔ןha.ko.HenH3548וְאֵ֖תve.'EtH853,to Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֣עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091sonבִּן־bin-H1121of Nunנ֑וּןNunH5126וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853,and to the familyאֲב֥וֹת'a.VotH1leadersרָאשֵׁ֛יra.SheiH7218of the tribesהַמַּטּ֖וֹתha.ma.TotH4294of Israelלִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃liv.Nei Yis.ra.'ElH1121 H3478.

30But ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518they do notלֹ֧אlo'H3808arm themselvesחֲלוּצִ֖יםcha.lu.TzimH2502andgo acrossיַֽעַבְר֛וּya.'av.RuH5674with youאִתְּכֶ֑ם'i.te.KhemH854,then they must accept their possessionוְנֹֽאחֲז֥וּve.no.cha.ZuH270among youבְתֹכְכֶ֖םve.to.khe.KhemH8432in the landבְּאֶ֥רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Canaanכְּנָֽעַן׃ke.Na.'anH3667.”
