1Thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָה֮Yah.wehH3068to his anointedלִמְשִׁיחוֹ֮lim.shi.ChoH4899,to Cyrusלְכ֣וֹרֶשׁle.Kho.reshH3566,whose right handבִֽימִינ֗וֹvi.mi.NoH3225I have holdenהֶחֱזַ֣קְתִּיhe.che.Zak.tiH2388,to subdueלְרַד־le.rad-H7286nationsגּוֹיִ֔םgo.YimH1471beforeלְפָנָיו֙le.fa.NavH6440him; and I will looseאֲפַתֵּ֑חַ'a.fa.Te.achH6605the loinsוּמָתְנֵ֥יu.ma.te.NeiH4975of kingsמְלָכִ֖יםme.la.KhimH4428,to openלִפְתֹּ֤חַlif.To.achH6605beforeלְפָנָיו֙le.fa.NavH6440him the two leaved gatesדְּלָתַ֔יִםde.la.Ta.yimH1817;and the gatesוּשְׁעָרִ֖יםu.she.'a.RimH8179shall not be shutיִסָּגֵֽרוּ׃yi.sa.Ge.ruH5462;

2I will goH3212beforeלְפָנֶ֣יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440thee, and makeאֲיַשֵּׁ֑ר'o.shirH3474the crooked placesוַהֲדוּרִ֖יםva.ha.du.RimH1921straightH3474:I will break in piecesאֲשַׁבֵּ֔ר'a.sha.BerH7665the gatesדַּלְת֤וֹתdal.TotH1817of brassנְחוּשָׁה֙ne.chu.ShahH5154,and cut in sunderאֲגַדֵּֽעַ׃'a.ga.De.a'H1438the barsוּבְרִיחֵ֥יu.ve.ri.CheiH1280of ironבַרְזֶ֖לvar.ZelH1270:

3And I will giveוְנָתַתִּ֤יve.na.ta.TiH5414thee the treasuresאוֹצְר֣וֹת'otz.RotH214of darknessחֹ֔שֶׁךְCho.shekhH2822,and hidden richesוּמַטְמֻנֵ֖יu.mat.mu.NeiH4301of secret placesמִסְתָּרִ֑יםmis.ta.RimH4565,that thou mayest knowתֵּדַ֗עte.Da'H3045that I, the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068,which callהַקּוֹרֵ֥אha.ko.Re'H7121theeby thy nameבְשִׁמְךָ֖ve.shim.KhaH8034, amthe Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

4For Jacobיַעֲקֹ֔בya.'a.KoH3290my servant’sעַבְדִּ֣י'av.DiH5650sake, and Israelוְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לve.Yis.ra.'ElH3478mine electבְּחִירִ֑יbe.chi.RiH972,I have even calledוָאֶקְרָ֤אva.'ek.Ra'H7121thee by thy nameבִּשְׁמֶ֔ךָbish.Me.khaH8034:I have surnamedאֲכַנְּךָ֖'a.kha.ne.KhaH3655thee, though thou hast not knownיְדַעְתָּֽנִי׃ye.da'.Ta.niH3045me.

5I amthe Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068, and there is none else, there isno Godאֱלֹהִ֑ים'E.lo.HimH430besideזוּלָתִ֖יzu.la.TiH2108me: I girdedאֲאַזֶּרְךָ֖'a.'a.zer.KhaH247thee, though thou hast not knownיְדַעְתָּֽנִי׃ye.da'.Ta.niH3045me:

6That they may knowיֵדְע֗וּye.de.'UH3045from the risingמִמִּזְרַח־mi.miz.rach-H4217of the sunשֶׁ֙מֶשׁ֙she.meshH8121,and from the westוּמִמַּ֣עֲרָבָ֔הu.mi.Ma.'a.ra.VahH4628, that there isnoneאֶ֖פֶס'E.fesH657besideבִּלְעָדָ֑יbil.'a.DaiH1107me. I amthe Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068, and there is none else.

7I formיוֹצֵ֥רyo.TzerH3335the lightאוֹר֙'OrH216,and createוּבוֹרֵ֣אu.vo.Re'H1254darknessחֹ֔שֶׁךְCho.shekhH2822:I makeעֹשֶׂ֥ה'o.SehH6213peaceשָׁל֖וֹםsha.LomH7965,and createוּב֣וֹרֵאu.Vo.re'H1254evilרָ֑עRa'H7451:I the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068doעֹשֶׂ֥ה'o.SehH6213all these things.

8Drop downהַרְעִ֤יפוּhar.'I.fuH7491,ye heavensשָׁמַ֙יִם֙sha.Ma.yimH8064,from aboveמִמַּ֔עַלmi.Ma.'alH4605,and let the skiesוּשְׁחָקִ֖יםu.she.cha.KimH7834pour downיִזְּלוּ־yi.ze.lu-H5140righteousnessצֶ֑דֶקTze.dekH6664:let the earthאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776openתִּפְתַּח־tif.tach-H6605,and let them bring forthוְיִפְרוּ־ve.yif.ru-H6509salvationיֶ֗שַׁעYe.sha'H3468,and let righteousnessוּצְדָקָ֤הu.tze.da.KahH6666spring upתַצְמִ֙יחַ֙tatz.Mi.achH6779togetherיַ֔חַדYa.chadH3162;I the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068have createdבְּרָאתִֽיו׃ סbe.ra.TivH1254it.

9Woeה֗וֹיHoH1945unto him that strivethרָ֚בravH7378with his Makerיֹ֣צְר֔וֹyo.tze.RoH3335! Letthe potsherdחֶ֖רֶשׂChe.resH2789strivewith the potsherdsחַרְשֵׂ֣יchar.SeiH2789of the earthאֲדָמָ֑ה'a.da.MahH127.Shall the clayחֹ֤מֶרCho.merH2563sayהֲיֹאמַ֨רha.yo.MarH559to him that fashionethלְיֹֽצְרוֹ֙le.yo.tze.RoH3335it, What makestתַּעֲשֶׂ֔הta.'a.SehH6213thou? or thy workוּפָעָלְךָ֖u.fa.'a.le.KhaH6467,He hath no handsיָדַ֥יִםya.Da.yimH3027?

10Woeה֛וֹיHoH1945unto him that saithאֹמֵ֥ר'o.MerH559unto hisfatherלְאָ֖בle.'AvH1,What begettestתּוֹלִ֑ידto.LidH3205thou? or to the womanוּלְאִשָּׁ֖הu.le.'i.ShahH802,What hast thou brought forthתְּחִילִֽין׃ סte.chi.LinH2342?

11Thus saithאָמַ֧ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068,the Holy Oneקְד֥וֹשׁke.Do.oshH6918of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and his Makerוְיֹצְר֑וֹve.yo.tze.RoH3335,Askשְׁאָל֔וּנִיshe.'a.Lu.niH7592me of things to comeהָאֹתִיּ֣וֹתha.'o.ti.YotH857concerning my sonsבָּנַ֛יba.NaiH1121,and concerning the workפֹּ֥עַלPo.'alH6467of my handsיָדַ֖יya.DaiH3027commandתְּצַוֻּֽנִי׃te.tza.Vu.niH6680ye me.

12I have madeעָשִׂ֣יתִי'a.Si.tiH6213the earthאֶ֔רֶץ'E.retzH776,and createdבָרָ֑אתִיva.Ra.tiH1254manוְאָדָ֖םve.'a.DamH120upon it: I, evenmy handsיָדַי֙ya.DaiH3027,have stretched outנָט֣וּna.TuH5186the heavensשָׁמַ֔יִםsha.Ma.yimH8064,and all their hostצְבָאָ֖םtze.va.'AmH6635have I commandedצִוֵּֽיתִי׃tzi.Vei.tiH6680.

13I have raised him upהַעִירֹתִ֣הֽוּha.'i.ro.Ti.huH5782in righteousnessבְצֶ֔דֶקve.Tze.dekH6664,and I will directאֲיַשֵּׁ֑ר'a.ya.SherH3474all his waysדְּרָכָ֖יוde.ra.KhavH1870:he shall buildיִבְנֶ֤הyiv.NehH1129my cityעִירִי֙'i.RiH5892,and he shall let goיְשַׁלֵּ֔חַye.sha.Le.achH7971my captivesוְגָלוּתִ֣יve.ga.lu.TiH1546,not for priceבִמְחִיר֙vim.ChirH4242nor rewardבְשֹׁ֔חַדve.Sho.chadH7810,saithאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of hostsצְבָאֽוֹת׃ פtze.va.'otH6635.

14Thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,The labourיְגִ֨יעַye.Gi.a'H3018of Egyptמִצְרַ֥יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,and merchandiseH5505of Ethiopiaכּוּשׁ֮kushH3568and of the Sabeansוּסְבָאִים֮u.se.va.'ImH5436,menאַנְשֵׁ֣י'an.SheiH582of statureמִדָּה֒mi.DahH4060,shall come overיַעֲבֹ֙רוּ֙ya.'a.Vo.ruH5674unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall comeH3212afterאַחֲרַ֣יִךְ'a.cha.Ra.yikhH310thee; in chainsבַּזִּקִּ֖יםba.zi.KimH2131they shall come overיַעֲבֹ֑רוּya.'a.Vo.ruH5674,and they shall fall downיִֽשְׁתַּחֲוּוּ֙yish.ta.cha.VuH7812unto thee, they shall make supplicationיִתְפַּלָּ֔לוּyit.pa.La.luH6419unto thee, saying,Surely Godאֵ֛ל'elH410is in thee; and there is none else, there isnoאֶ֥פֶס'E.fesH657Godאֱלֹהִֽים׃'E.lo.HimH430.

15Verilyאָכֵ֕ן'a.KhenH403thou arta Godאֵ֣ל'elH410that hidestמִסְתַּתֵּ֑רmis.ta.TerH5641thyself, O Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,the Saviourמוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃mo.Shi.a'H3467.

16They shall be ashamedבּ֥וֹשׁוּBo.o.shuH954,and also confoundedנִכְלְמ֖וּnikh.le.MuH3637,all of them: they shall goהָלְכ֣וּha.le.KhuH1980to confusionבַכְּלִמָּ֔הva.ke.li.MahH3639togetherיַחְדָּו֙yach.DavH3162that aremakersחָרָשֵׁ֖יcha.ra.SheiH2796of idolsצִירִֽים׃tzi.RimH6736.

17ButIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478shall be savedנוֹשַׁ֣עno.Sha'H3467in the Lordבַּיהוָ֔הba.Yah.wehH3068with an everlastingעוֹלָמִ֑יםo.la.MimH5769salvationתְּשׁוּעַ֖תte.shu.'AtH8668:ye shall not be ashamedתֵבֹ֥שׁוּte.Vo.shuH954nor confoundedתִכָּלְמ֖וּti.kal.MuH3637worldע֥וֹלְמֵיol.meiH5769without endעַֽד׃ פ'AdH5703.

18For thus saithאָֽמַר־'a.mar-H559the Lordיְ֠הוָהYah.wehH3068that createdבּוֹרֵ֨אbo.Re'H1254the heavensהַשָּׁמַ֜יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064;Godהָאֱלֹהִ֗יםha.'E.lo.HimH430himself that formedיֹצֵ֨רyo.TzerH3335the earthהָאָ֤רֶץha.'A.retzH776and madeוְעֹשָׂהּ֙ve.'o.SahH6213it; he hath establishedכֽוֹנְנָ֔הּkho.NahH3559it, he createdבְרָאָ֖הּve.ra.'AhH1254it not in vainתֹ֥הוּTo.huH8414,he formedיְצָרָ֑הּye.tza.RahH3335it to be inhabitedלָשֶׁ֣בֶתla.She.vetH3427: I amthe Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068; and there is none else.

19I have not spokenדִּבַּ֗רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696in secretבַסֵּ֣תֶרva.Se.terH5643,in a darkחֹ֔שֶׁךְCho.shekhH2822placeבִּמְקוֹם֙bim.kOmH4725of the earthאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776:I saidאָמַ֛רְתִּי'a.Mar.tiH559not unto the seedלְזֶ֥רַעle.Ze.ra'H2233of Jacobיַעֲקֹ֖בya.'a.KoH3290,Seekבַקְּשׁ֑וּנִיva.ke.Shu.niH1245ye me in vainתֹּ֣הוּTo.huH8414:I the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068speakדֹּבֵ֣רdo.VerH1696righteousnessצֶ֔דֶקTze.dekH6664,I declareמַגִּ֖ידma.GidH5046things that are rightמֵישָׁרִֽים׃mei.sha.RimH4339.

20Assembleהִקָּבְצ֥וּhi.ka.ve.TzuH6908yourselves and comeוָבֹ֛אוּva.Vo.'uH935;draw nearהִֽתְנַגְּשׁ֥וּhit.na.ge.ShuH5066togetherיַחְדָּ֖וyach.DavH3162, ye that areescapedפְּלִיטֵ֣יpe.li.TeiH6412of the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֑םha.go.YimH1471:they have no knowledgeיָדְע֗וּya.de.'UH3045that set upהַנֹּֽשְׂאִים֙ha.no.se.'ImH5375the woodעֵ֣ץ'etzH6086of their graven imageפִּסְלָ֔םpis.LamH6459,and prayוּמִתְפַּלְלִ֔יםu.mit.pa.LimH6419unto a godאֵ֖ל'elH410thatcannot saveיוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃yo.Shi.a'H3467.

21Tellהַגִּ֣ידוּha.Gi.duH5046ye, and bring themnearוְהַגִּ֔ישׁוּve.ha.Gi.shuH5066;yea, let them take counselיִֽוָּעֲצ֖וּyi.va.'a.TzuH3289togetherיַחְדָּ֑וyach.DavH3162:who hath declaredהִשְׁמִיעַ֩hish.mi.a'H8085this from ancient timeמִקֶּ֜דֶםmi.Ke.demH6924? whohath toldהִגִּידָ֗הּhi.gi.DahH5046it from that time? havenot I the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068? and there isno Godאֱלֹהִים֙'E.lo.HimH430else besideמִבַּלְעָדַ֔יmi.bal.'a.DaiH1107me; a justצַדִּ֣יקtza.DikH6662Godאֵֽל־'el-H410and a Saviourוּמוֹשִׁ֔יעַu.mo.Shi.a'H3467; there isnoneH369besideזוּלָתִֽי׃zu.la.TiH2108me.

22Lookפְּנוּ־pe.nu-H6437unto me, and be ye savedוְהִוָּשְׁע֖וּve.hi.va.she.'UH3467,all the endsאַפְסֵי־'af.sei-H657of the earthאָ֑רֶץ'A.retzH776: for I amGodאֵ֖ל'elH410, and there is none else.

23I have swornנִשְׁבַּ֔עְתִּיnish.Ba'.tiH7650by myself, the wordדָּבָ֖רda.VarH1697is gone outיָצָ֨אya.Tza'H3318of my mouthמִפִּ֧יmi.PiH6310inrighteousnessצְדָקָ֛הtze.da.KahH6666,and shall not returnיָשׁ֑וּבya.ShuvH7725,That unto me every kneeבֶּ֔רֶךְBe.rekhH1290shall bowתִּכְרַ֣עtikh.Ra'H3766,every tongueלָשֽׁוֹן׃la.ShonH3956shall swearתִּשָּׁבַ֖עti.sha.Va'H7650.

24Surely, shall onesayאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559,in the Lordבַּיהוָ֛הba.Yah.wehH3068have I righteousnessצְדָק֣וֹתtze.da.KotH6666and strengthוָעֹ֑זva.'OzH5797: even to him shall mencomeיָב֣וֹאya.Vo'H935;and all that are incensedהַנֶּחֱרִ֥יםha.ne.che.RimH2734against him shall be ashamedוְיֵבֹ֔שׁוּve.ye.Vo.shuH954.

25In the Lordבַּיהוָ֛הba.Yah.wehH3068shall all the seedזֶ֥רַעZe.ra'H2233of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478be justifiedיִצְדְּק֥וּyitz.de.KuH6663,and shall gloryוְיִֽתְהַלְל֖וּve.yit.ha.LuH1984.
