Numbers 16:21-45
21SeparateH914 yourselves from among this congregationH5712, that I may consume them in a momentH7281. 22And they fellH5307 upon their facesH6440, and saidH559, O GodH430, the GodH430 of the spiritsH7307 of all fleshH1320, shall oneH259 manH376 sinH2398, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregationH5712? 23And Jehovah spake unto MosesH4872, sayingH559, 24SpeakH1696 unto the congregationH5712, sayingH559, Get you up from about the tabernacleH4908 of KorahH7141, DathanH1885, and AbiramH48.
25And MosesH4872 roseH6965 up and went unto DathanH1885 and AbiramH48; and the eldersH2205 of IsraelH3478 followed him. 26And he spake unto the congregationH5712, sayingH559, DepartH5493, I pray you, from the tentsH168 of these wickedH7563 menH376, and touchH5060 nothing of theirs, lestH6435 ye be consumed in all their sinsH2403. 27So they gat them up from the tabernacleH4908 of KorahH7141, DathanH1885, and AbiramH48, on every side: and DathanH1885 and AbiramH48 cameH3318 out, and stoodH5324 at the doorH6607 of their tentsH168, and their wivesH802, and their sonsH1121, and their littleH2945 onesH2945. 28And MosesH4872 saidH559, Hereby ye shall knowH3045 that Jehovah hath sentH7971 me to do all these worksH4639; for I have not done them of mine own mind. 29If these menH120 dieH4191 the common deathH4191 of all menH120, or if they be visitedH6485 after the visitation of all menH120; then Jehovah hath not sentH7971 me. 30But if Jehovah makeH3045 a new thing, and the groundH127 openH6475 its mouthH6310, and swallowH1104 them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they goH3381 down aliveH2416 into SheolH7585; then ye shall understand that these menH376 have despised Jehovah.
31And it came to pass, as he made an endH3615 of speakingH1696 all these wordsH1697, that the groundH127 clave asunder that wasH1961 under them; 32and the earthH776 openedH6605 its mouthH6310, and swallowedH1104 them up, and their householdsH1004, and all the menH120 that appertained unto KorahH7141, and all their goods. 33So they, and all that appertained to them, wentH3381 downH3381 aliveH2416 into SheolH7585: and the earthH776 closed upon them, and they perishedH6 from among the assemblyH6951. 34And all IsraelH3478 that were roundH5439 about them fledH5127 at the cry of them; for they saidH559, LestH6435 the earthH776 swallowH1104 us up. 35And fireH784 cameH3318 forthH3318 from Jehovah, and devouredH398 the twoH3967 hundredH3967 and fiftyH2572 menH376 that offered the incenseH7004.
36And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, 37Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter thou the fire yonder; for they are holy, 38even the censers of these sinners against their own lives; and let them be made beaten plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before Jehovah; therefore they are holy; and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel. 39And Eleazar the priest took the brazen censers, which they that were burnt had offered; and they beat them out for a covering of the altar, 40to be a memorial unto the children of Israel, to the end that no stranger, that is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to burn incense before Jehovah; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as Jehovah spake unto him by Moses.
41But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of Jehovah. 42And it came to pass, when the congregation was assembled against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tent of meeting: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of Jehovah appeared. 43And Moses and Aaron came to the front of the tent of meeting. 44And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, 45Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.
