Hebrews 2:6-18
6But oneG5100 hath somewhereG4225 testifiedG1263, sayingG3004,
For in that he subjectedG5293 all thingsG3956 unto him, he leftG863 nothing that is not subjectG5293 to him. But nowG1161 we seeG3708 not yet all thingsG3956 subjectedG5293 to him. 9But we behold him who hath been made a littleG1024 lower than the angelsG32, evenG2532 JesusG2424, because of the suffering of deathG2288 crownedG4737 with gloryG1391 and honorG5092, that by the graceG5485 of GodG2316 he should tasteG1089 of deathG2288 for every man. 10For it became him, for whom are all thingsG3956, and through whom are all thingsG3956, in bringingG71 manyG4183 sonsG5207 unto gloryG1391, to makeG5048 the author of their salvationG4991 perfectG5048 through sufferings. 11For both he that sanctifieth and they that are sanctifiedG37 are all of oneG1520: for which causeG156 he is not ashamedG1870 to callG2564 them brethren, 12sayingG3004,
13And againG3825, I will put my trustG3982 in him. And againG3825, BeholdG2400, I and the childrenG3813 whom GodG2316 hath givenG1325 me. 14Since then the childrenG3813 areG1510 sharers in fleshG4561 and bloodG129, he alsoG2532 himself in like manner partook of the sameG846; that through deathG2288 he might bring to nought him that had the powerG2904 of deathG2288, that isG1510, the devilG1228; 15and might deliver all them who through fearG5401 of deathG2288 wereG1510 all their lifetime subject to bondage. 16For verily not to angelsG32 doth he give helpG1949, but he giveth helpG1949 to the seedG4690 of AbrahamG11. 17Wherefore it behooved him in all thingsG3956 to be made like unto his brethren, that he might becomeG1096 a mercifulG1655 and faithfulG4103 highG749 priestG749 in thingsG3956 pertaining to GodG2316, to make propitiation for the sinsG266 of the peopleG2992. 18For in that he himself hath sufferedG3958 being temptedG3985, he is ableG1410 to succor them that are temptedG3985.
