9Ifאִם־'im-H518grapegathererscameבָּ֣אוּBa.'uH935to thee, would theynotH3808leaveיַשְׁאִ֖רוּyash.'I.ruH7604someH5955gleaningH5955grapes?ifאִם־'im-H518thievesגַּנָּבִ֥יםga.na.VimH1590bynightבַּלַּ֖יְלָהba.Lay.lahH3915, would theynotH3808destroyהִשְׁחִ֥יתוּhish.Chi.tuH7843till they hadenoughדַיָּֽם׃dai.YamH1767?

10But I havemadeH1540Esauעֵשָׂ֗ו'e.SavH6215bareH1540, I haveuncoveredגִּלֵּ֙יתִי֙gi.Lei.tiH1540hissecretH4565placesH4565, and he shallnotH3808beableיוּכָ֑לyu.KhalH3201tohideוְנֶחְבָּ֖הve.nech.BahH2247himselfH1540: hisseedזַרְע֛וֹzar.'OH2233is spoiled, and hisbrethrenוְאֶחָ֥יוve.'e.ChavH251, and his neighbours, and he isnotH3808.

11Leaveעָזְבָ֥ה'a.ze.VahH5800thyfatherlessיְתֹמֶ֖יךָye.to.Mei.khaH3490childrenH3490, I willpreserveאֲחַיֶּ֑ה'a.chai.YehH2421themaliveH2421; and let thywidowsוְאַלְמְנֹתֶ֖יךָve.'al.me.no.Tei.khaH490trustתִּבְטָֽחוּ׃ סtiv.Ta.chuH982inmeעָלַ֥י'a.LaiH5921.

12Forthusכֹ֣ה׀khohH3541saith theLORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068:Beholdהִ֠נֵּהHi.nehH2009, they towhomאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834it pertainednotH3808todrinkH8354of thecupהַכּוֹס֙ha.kOsH3563shall assuredlydrinkH8354; and art thou he that shall altogethergoH5352unpunishedH5352? thou shaltnotH3808goH5352unpunishedH5352, but thou shaltsurelyH3588drinkH8354.

13For I haveswornנִשְׁבַּ֙עְתִּי֙nish.Ba'.tiH7650by myself, saith theLORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, thatBozrahבָצְרָ֑הva.tze.RahH1224shallbecomeH1961an astonishment, areproachלְחֶרְפָּ֛הle.cher.PahH2781, awasteH2723, and acurseוְלִקְלָלָ֖הve.lik.la.LahH7045; andallוְכָל־ve.kholH3605thecitiesעָרֶ֥יהָ'a.Rei.haH5892thereof shall beperpetualעוֹלָֽם׃o.LamH5769wastesH2723.

14I haveheardשָׁמַ֙עְתִּי֙sha.Ma'.tiH8085tidingsשְׁמוּעָ֤הshe.mu.'AhH8052from theLORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, and an ambassador issentH7971among thenationsבַּגּוֹיִ֣םba.go.YimH1471, saying,Gatherהִֽתְקַבְּצוּ֙hit.ka.be.TzuH6908yourselvestogetherH6908, andcomeוּבֹ֣אוּu.Vo.'uH935againstעָלֶ֔יהָ'a.Lei.haH5921herH7971, andriseוְק֖וּמוּve.Ku.muH6965upH6965to thebattleלַמִּלְחָמָֽה׃la.mil.cha.MahH4421.

15For,beholdהִנֵּ֥הhi.NehH2009, I havemadeנְתַתִּ֖יךָne.ta.Ti.khaH5414theesmallקָטֹ֛ןka.TonH6996among thenationsבַּגּוֹיִ֑םba.go.YimH1471, anddespisedבָּז֖וּיba.ZuiH959amongmenבָּאָדָֽם׃ba.'a.DamH120.

16As for thy terribleness, theprideזְד֣וֹןze.DonH2087of thineheartלִבֶּ֔ךָli.Be.khaH3820hath deceived thee, O thou that dwellest in thecleftsבְּחַגְוֵ֣יbe.chag.VeiH2288of therockהַסֶּ֔לַעha.Se.la'H5553, that holdest theheightמְר֣וֹםme.RomH4791of thehillגִּבְעָ֑הgiv.'AhH1389:thoughH3588thou shouldestmakeH3588thynestקִנֶּ֔ךָki.Ne.chaH7064ashighH4791as theeagleכַּנֶּ֙שֶׁר֙ka.Ne.sherH5404, I willbringאֽוֹרִידְךָ֖'o.ri.de.KhaH3381theedownH3381from thence, saith theLORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068;

17AndEdomאֱד֖וֹם'e.DomH123shallbecomeוְהָיְתָ֥הve.ha.ye.TahH1961an astonishment:everyכֹּ֚לkolH3605one that passeth by it shall heastonishedיִשֹּׁ֥םyi.ShomH8074, and shallhissוְיִשְׁרֹ֖קve.yish.RokH8319atallכָּל־kol-H3605theplaguesמַכּוֹתֶֽהָ׃ma.ko.Te.haH4347thereof.

18As in theoverthrowכְּֽמַהְפֵּכַ֞תke.mah.pe.KhatH4114ofSodomסְדֹ֧םse.DomH5467andGomorrahוַעֲמֹרָ֛הva.'a.mo.RahH6017and the neighbour cities thereof, saith theLORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,noלֹֽא־lo'-H3808manH376shalldwellיֵשֵׁ֥בye.ShevH3427there,neitherוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808shallanyH376sonבֶּן־ben-H1121ofmanH376sojourn therein.

19BeholdH2009, he shallcomeH5927upH5927like alionכְּאַרְיֵ֞הke.'ar.YehH738from theprideמִגְּא֣וֹןmi.ge.'onH1347ofJordanהַיַּרְדֵּן֮hai.yar.DenH3383againstמֵֽעָלֶ֔יהָme.'a.Lei.haH5921the strong habitation: but I willsuddenlyH2009makeH3588himrunאֲרִיצֶ֨נּוּ'a.ri.Tze.nuH7323awayH5927fromherH413; and whoso ischosenבָח֖וּרva.ChurH977, him will Iappointאֶפְקֹ֑ד'ef.KodH6485overherH413: for who is likemeH413? and who willappointH6485meH413a time? and who is theshepherdרֹעֶ֔הro.'EhH7462that willstandיַעֲמֹ֖דya.'a.ModH5975beforeלְפָנָֽי׃ סle.fa.NaiH6440meH413?

20Thereforehearשִׁמְע֣וּshim.'UH8085ye thecounselעֲצַת־'a.tzat-H6098of theLORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068, that he hathtakenH3427againstH5921Edomאֱד֔וֹם'e.DomH123; and hispurposesוּמַ֨חְשְׁבוֹתָ֔יוu.Mach.she.vo.TavH4284, that he hathpurposedחָשַׁ֖בcha.ShavH2803againstH5921theinhabitantsיֹשְׁבֵ֣יyo.she.VeiH3427ofTemanתֵימָ֑ןtei.ManH8487:Surelyאִם־'im-H518they shalldragיִסְחָבוּם֙yis.cha.VumH5498them away,evenH3808thelittleH6810onesצְעִירֵ֣יtze.'i.ReiH6810of theflockהַצֹּ֔אןha.TzonH6629;surelyאִם־'im-H518he shallmakeH8074their habitationdesolateH8074with them.

21Theearthהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776trembleth at thenoiseמִקּ֣וֹלmi.KolH6963of theirfallנִפְלָ֔םnif.LamH5307; there is acryצְעָקָ֕הtze.'a.KahH6818, thenoiseקוֹלָֽהּ׃ko.LahH6963whereof isheardנִשְׁמַ֥עnish.Ma'H8085in the RedSeaבְּיַם־be.yam-H3220.

22Beholdהִנֵּ֤הhi.NehH2009, he shallcomeוְֽ֠הָיָהVe.ha.yahH1961upיַעֲלֶ֣הya.'a.LehH5927andflyוְיִדְאֶ֔הve.yid.'EhH1675as theeagleכַנֶּ֙שֶׁר֙kha.Ne.sherH5404, andspreadוְיִפְרֹ֥שׂve.yif.RosH6566outH5921hiswingsכְּנָפָ֖יוke.na.FavH3671againstH5921Bozrahבָּצְרָ֑הbotz.rahH1224: and theheartלֵ֞בlevH3820of themightyH1368menH1368ofEdomאֱדוֹם֙'e.dOmH123at thatdayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117shall be as theheartכְּלֵ֖בke.LevH3820of awomanאִשָּׁ֥ה'i.ShahH802inherH5921pangs.

23OfDamascusלְדַמֶּ֗שֶׂקle.da.Me.sekH1834.Hamathחֲמָת֙cha.MatH2574isashamedבּ֤וֹשָֽׁהBo.o.shahH954, andArpadוְאַרְפָּ֔דve.'ar.PadH774; for they haveheardשָׁמְע֖וּsha.me.'UH8085evilרָעָ֛הra.'AhH7451tidingsשְׁמֻעָ֥הshe.mu.'AhH8052, they aremeltedנָמֹ֑גוּna.Mo.guH4127awayH4127: there is sorrow on theseaבַּיָּ֣םbai.YamH3220; itcannotלֹ֥אlo'H3808bequietהַשְׁקֵ֖טhash.KetH8252.

24Damascusדַמֶּ֛שֶׂקda.Me.sekH1834is waxedfeebleH7503, she turneth herself tofleeלָנ֖וּסla.NusH5127, and trembling hathseizedאֲחָזַ֖תָּה'a.cha.Za.tahH270onherH7503:anguishצָרָ֧הtza.RahH6869and sorrows havetakenH270holdהֶחֱזִ֑יקָהhe.che.Zi.kahH2388ofherH7503, as of a woman in travail.

25Howאֵ֥יךְ'eikhH349is thecityעִ֣יר'irH5892ofpraiseתְּהִלָּ֑תte.hi.lahH8416notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808forsaken, thecityH5892of myjoyמְשׂוֹשִֽׂי׃me.so.SiH4885?

26ThereforeherH3605youngבַחוּרֶ֖יהָva.chu.Rei.haH970menH376shallfallיִפְּל֥וּyi.pe.LuH5307inherH3605streetsבִּרְחֹבֹתֶ֑יהָbir.cho.Tei.haH7339, andallH3605themenH376ofwarהַמִּלְחָמָ֤הha.mil.cha.MahH4421shall be brought to silence in thatdayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117, saith theLORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068ofhostsצְבָאֽוֹת׃tze.va.'otH6635.

27And I willkindleוְהִצַּ֥תִּיve.hi.Tza.tiH3341afireאֵ֖שׁ'eshH784in thewallבְּחוֹמַ֣תbe.cho.MatH2346ofDamascusדַּמָּ֑שֶׂקda.Ma.sekH1834, and it shalldevourוְאָכְלָ֖הve.'a.khe.LahH398thepalacesאַרְמְנ֥וֹת'ar.me.NotH759ofBen-hadadH1130.

29Theirtentsאָהֳלֵיהֶ֤ם'o.ho.lei.HemH168and theirflocksוְצֹאנָם֙ve.tzo.NamH6629shall theytakeיִקָּ֔חוּyi.Ka.chuH3947; they shallcarryיִשְׂא֣וּyis.'UH5375awayH5375forthemselvesH1992theircurtainsיְרִיעוֹתֵיהֶ֧םye.ri.'o.tei.HemH3407, andallH3605theirvesselsכְּלֵיהֶ֛םke.lei.HemH3627, and theircamelsוּגְמַלֵּיהֶ֖םu.ge.ma.lei.HemH1581: and they shallcryוְקָרְא֧וּve.ka.re.'UH7121unto them,Terrorמָג֖וֹרma.GorH4032oneveryH3605sideמִסָּבִֽיב׃mi.sa.VivH5439.

30Fleeנֻסוּ֩nu.SuH5127ye,wanderנֻּ֨דוּNu.duH5110farH5921offH5921,dwellלָשֶׁ֛בֶתla.She.vetH3427deepהֶעְמִ֧יקוּhe'.Mi.kuH6009, O yeinhabitantsיֹשְׁבֵ֥יyo.she.VeiH3427ofHazorחָצ֖וֹרcha.TzorH2674, saith theLORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068; forNebuchadrezzarנְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֤רne.vu.khad.re.TzarH5019kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428ofBabylonבָּבֶל֙ba.VelH894hathtakenH3427counselH6098againstH5921youH3588, and hath conceived apurposeH6098againstH5921youH3588.

32And theircamelsגְמַלֵּיהֶ֜םge.ma.lei.HemH1581shall be abootyH7998, and themultitudeוַהֲמ֤וֹןva.ha.MonH1995of theircattleמִקְנֵיהֶם֙mik.nei.HemH4735aspoilH7998: and I willscatterוְזֵרִתִ֥יםve.ze.ri.TimH2219untoallלְכָל־le.kholH3605windsר֖וּחַRu.achH7307them that have thecornersפֵאָ֑הfe.'AhH6285of their hair polled; and I willbringאָבִ֥יא'a.Vi'H935theircalamityאֵידָ֖ם'ei.DamH343fromeveryוּמִכָּל־u.mi.kol-H3605sideH6285of them, saith theLORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

33AndHazorחָצ֜וֹרcha.TzorH2674shall be adwellingיֵשֵׁ֥בye.ShevH3427placeוְהָיְתָ֨הve.ha.ye.TahH1961ofjackalsתַּנִּ֛יםta.NimH8577, adesolationשְׁמָמָ֖הshe.ma.MahH8077foreverעוֹלָ֑םo.LamH5769:noלֹֽא־lo'-H3808manH376shalldwellH3427there,neitherוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808shallanyH376sonבֶּן־ben-H1121ofmanH376sojourn therein.
