2Thereforethusכֹּֽה־koh-H3541saith theLORDיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068, theGodאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478,againstעַֽל־'al-H5921theshepherdsהָרֹעִים֮ha.ro.'ImH7462thatfeedהָרֹעִ֣יםha.ro.'ImH7462mypeopleעַמִּי֒'a.MiH5971: Ye havescatteredהֲפִצֹתֶ֤םha.fi.tzo.TemH6327myflockצֹאנִי֙tzo.NiH6629, anddrivenH5080themawayוַתַּדִּח֔וּםva.ta.di.ChumH5080, and havenotוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808visitedפְקַדְתֶּ֖םfe.kad.TemH6485them;beholdהִנְנִ֨יhi.NiH2005, I willvisitפֹקֵ֧דfo.KedH6485uponעֲלֵיכֶ֛ם'a.lei.KhemH5921youאַתֶּ֞ם'a.TemH859theevilרֹ֥עַRo.a'H7455of yourdoingsמַעַלְלֵיכֶ֖םma.'a.lei.KhemH4611, saith theLORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

3And I willgatherאֲקַבֵּץ֙'a.ka.BetzH6908theremnantשְׁאֵרִ֣יתshe.'e.RitH7611of myflockצֹאנִ֔יtzo.NiH6629outעַל־'al-H5921ofallמִכֹּל֙mi.KolH3605thecountriesהָאֲרָצ֔וֹתha.'a.ra.TzotH776whither I havedrivenהִדַּ֥חְתִּיhi.Dach.tiH5080them, and willbringוַהֲשִׁבֹתִ֥יva.ha.shi.vo.TiH7725themagainH7725to their folds; and they shall befruitfulוּפָר֥וּu.fa.RuH6509andmultiplyוְרָבֽוּ׃ve.ra.VuH7235.

5Beholdהִנֵּ֨הhi.NehH2009, thedaysיָמִ֤יםya.MimH3117comeבָּאִים֙ba.'ImH935, saith theLORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, that I willraiseוַהֲקִמֹתִ֥יva.ha.ki.mo.TiH6965untoDavidלְדָוִ֖דle.da.VidH1732arighteousצַדִּ֑יקtza.DikH6662Branchצֶ֣מַחTze.machH6780, and he shallreignוּמָ֤לַךְu.Ma.lakhH4427askingמֶ֙לֶךְ֙Me.lekhH4428anddealוְעָשָׂ֛הve.'a.SahH6213wisely, and shall executejudgmentH4941andjusticeמִשְׁפָּ֥טmish.PatH4941in thelandבָּאָֽרֶץ׃ba.'A.retzH776.

8but, As theLORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068liveth,whichH834broughtH935upהֶעֱלָה֩he.'e.LahH5927andwhichH834ledH935theseedזֶ֨רַעZe.ra'H2233of thehouseבֵּ֤יתbeitH1004ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478outעַל־'al-H5921of thenorthצָפ֔וֹנָהtza.Fo.nahH6828countryH776, and fromallוּמִכֹּל֙u.mi.KolH3605thecountriesH776whither I haddrivenהִדַּחְתִּ֖יםhi.dach.TimH5080them; and they shalldwellוְיָשְׁב֖וּve.ya.she.VuH3427in their ownlandH776.

9Concerning theprophetsלַנְּבִאִ֞יםla.ne.vi.'ImH5030. Mineheartלִבִּ֣יli.BiH3820withinבְקִרְבִּ֗יve.kir.BiH7130meH6440isbrokenנִשְׁבַּ֧רnish.BarH7665,allכָּל־kol-H3605mybonesעַצְמוֹתַ֔יatz.mo.TaiH6106shake; I am like adrunkenשִׁכּ֔וֹרshi.KorH7910manH376, and like amanH376whomwineיָ֑יִןYa.yinH3196hath overcome;becauseH6440of theLORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, andbecauseH6440of hisholyקָדְשֽׁוֹ׃ka.de.ShoH6944wordsדִּבְרֵ֥יdiv.ReiH1697.

10For thelandהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776isfullמָלְאָ֣הmal.'AhH4390ofadulterersמְנָֽאֲפִים֙me.na.'a.FimH5003; forbecauseH3588of swearing thelandהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776mourneth; thepasturesנְא֣וֹתne.'otH4999of thewildernessמִדְבָּ֑רmid.BarH4057aredriedיָבְשׁ֖וּya.ve.ShuH3001upH3001; and theircourseמְרֽוּצָתָם֙me.ru.tza.TamH4794isevilרָעָ֔הra.'AhH7451, and their force isnotלֹא־lo'-H3808rightכֵֽן׃KhenH3651.

11forbothH1571prophetנָבִ֥יאna.Vi'H5030andpriestכֹּהֵ֖ןko.HenH3548are profane;yeaכִּֽי־ki-H3588, in myhouseבְּבֵיתִ֛יbe.vei.TiH1004have Ifoundמָצָ֥אתִיma.Tza.tiH4672theirwickednessרָעָתָ֖םra.'a.TamH7451, saith theLORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

12Wherefore theirwayדַרְכָּ֜םdar.KamH1870shall be unto them asslipperyכַּחֲלַקְלַקּוֹת֙ka.cha.lak.la.kOtH2519placesלָכֵן֩la.KhenH3651in thedarknessבָּֽאֲפֵלָ֔הba.'a.fe.LahH653: they shall be driven on, andfallוְנָ֣פְלוּve.Na.fe.luH5307therein: for I willbringאָבִ֨יא'a.Vi'H935evilרָעָ֛הra.'AhH7451uponעֲלֵיהֶ֥ם'a.lei.HemH5921them,evenכִּֽי־ki-H3588theyearשְׁנַ֥תshe.NatH8141of their visitation, saith theLORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

13And I haveseenרָאִ֣יתִיra.'I.tiH7200follyתִפְלָ֑הtif.LahH8604in theprophetsוּבִנְבִיאֵ֥יu.vin.vi.'EiH5030ofSamariaשֹׁמְר֖וֹןsho.me.RonH8111; theyprophesiedהִנַּבְּא֣וּhi.na.be.'UH5012byBaalבַבַּ֔עַלva.Ba.'alH1168, and caused mypeopleעַמִּ֖י'a.MiH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ סYis.ra.'ElH3478toerrוַיַּתְע֥וּvai.yat.'UH8582.

14In theprophetsוּבִנְבִאֵ֨יu.vin.vi.'EiH5030ofJerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֜םye.ru.sha.LimH3389also I haveseenרָאִ֣יתִיra.'I.tiH7200an horriblethingH7451; theycommitH5003adulteryנָא֞וֹףna.'ofH5003, andwalkוְהָלֹ֤ךְve.ha.LokhH1980inliesבַּשֶּׁ֙קֶר֙ba.She.kerH8267, and theystrengthenוְחִזְּקוּ֙ve.chi.ze.KuH2388thehandsיְדֵ֣יye.DeiH3027of evil-doers, thatnoneH3605dothreturnH7725from hiswickednessH7451: they areallH3605of thembecomeהָֽיוּ־ha.yu-H1961untomeH7725asSodomכִּסְדֹ֔םkis.DomH5467, and theinhabitantsוְיֹשְׁבֶ֖יהָve.yo.she.Vei.haH3427thereof asGomorrahכַּעֲמֹרָֽה׃ סka.'a.mo.RahH6017.

15Thereforethusכֹּֽה־koh-H3541saith theLORDיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068ofhostsצְבָאוֹת֙tze.va.'OtH6635concerning theprophetsהַנְּבִאִ֔יםha.ne.vi.'ImH5030:Beholdהִנְנִ֨יhi.NiH2005, I willfeedמַאֲכִ֤ילma.'a.KhilH398them withwormwoodלַֽעֲנָ֔הla.'a.NahH3939, andmakeכִּ֗יKiH3588themdrinkוְהִשְׁקִתִ֖יםve.hish.ki.TimH8248thewaterמֵי־mei-H4325ofgallרֹ֑אשׁRoshH7219: for from theprophetsנְבִיאֵ֣יne.vi.'EiH5030ofJerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֔םye.ru.sha.LimH3389is profanenessgoneH3318forthH3318intoעַל־'al-H5921allלְכָל־le.kholH3605thelandהָאָֽרֶץ׃ פha.'A.retzH776.

17Theysayאֹמְרִ֤ים'o.me.RimH559continuallyהֹלֵ֞ךְho.LekhH1980unto them thatdespiseלִֽמְנַאֲצַ֔יlim.na.'a.TzaiH5006meH5921, TheLORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068hathsaidאָמוֹר֙'a.mOrH559, Ye shall havepeaceשָׁל֖וֹםsha.LomH7965; and untoeveryH3605one that walketh in thestubbornnessבִּשְׁרִר֤וּתbish.ri.RutH8307of hisownיִֽהְיֶ֣הyih.YehH1961heartלִבּוֹ֙li.BoH3820theysayאָֽמְר֔וּ'a.me.RuH559,Noלֹֽא־lo'-H3808evilרָעָֽה׃ra.'AhH7451shallcomeתָב֥וֹאta.Vo'H935uponH5921youH3605.

18For who hathstoodעָמַד֙'a.MadH5975in thecouncilבְּס֣וֹדbe.SodH5475of theLORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, that he shouldperceiveוְיֵ֖רֶאve.Ye.re'H7200andhearוְיִשְׁמַ֣עve.yish.Ma'H8085hiswordדְּבָר֑וֹde.va.RoH1697? who hath marked mywordדְּבָר֖וֹde.va.roH1697, andheardוַיִּשְׁמָֽע׃ סvai.yish.Ma'H8085it?

19Beholdהִנֵּ֣ה׀hi.NehH2009, thetempestסַעֲרַ֣תsa.'a.RatH5591of theLORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,evenH5921hisfuryחֵמָה֙che.MahH2534, isgoneH3318forthH3318, yea, a whirlingtempestוְסַ֖עַרve.Sa.'arH5591: it shall burstuponH5921theheadרֹ֥אשׁroshH7218of thewickedרְשָׁעִ֖יםre.sha.'ImH7563.

20Theangerאַף־'af-H639of theLORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068shallnotלֹ֤אlo'H3808returnיָשׁוּב֙ya.ShuvH7725,untilעַד־'ad-H5704he have executed, andtillוְעַד־ve.'ad-H5704he have performed the intents of hisheartלִבּ֑וֹli.BoH3820: in thelatterבְּאַֽחֲרִית֙be.'a.cha.RitH319daysהַיָּמִ֔יםhai.ya.MimH3117ye shallunderstandתִּתְבּ֥וֹנְנוּtit.Bo.nuH995it perfectly.

21Isentשָׁלַ֥חְתִּיsha.Lach.tiH7971notלֹא־lo'-H3808theseH1992prophetsהַנְּבִאִ֖יםha.ne.vi.'ImH5030, yet theyranרָ֑צוּRa.tzuH7323: I spakenotלֹא־lo'-H3808unto them, yet theyprophesiedנִבָּֽאוּ׃ni.Ba.'uH5012.

22Butifוְאִֽם־ve.'im-H518they hadstoodעָמְד֖וּ'a.me.DuH5975in mycouncilבְּסוֹדִ֑יbe.so.DiH5475, then had theycausedH1697mypeopleעַמִּ֔י'a.MiH5971tohearוְיַשְׁמִ֤עוּve.yash.Mi.'uH8085mywordsדְבָרַי֙de.va.RaiH1697, and hadturnedוִֽישִׁבוּם֙vi.shi.VumH7725them from theirevilH7451wayמִדַּרְכָּ֣םmi.dar.KamH1870, and from theevilH7451of theirdoingsH1697.

23Am I aGodהַאֱלֹהֵ֧יha.'e.lo.HeiH430athandמִקָּרֹ֛בmi.ka.RoH7138, saith theLORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068, andnotוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808aGodאֱלֹהֵ֖י'e.lo.HeiH430afarH7350offH7350?

25I haveheardשָׁמַ֗עְתִּיsha.Ma'.tiH8085whatאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834theprophetsהַנְּבִאִ֔יםha.ne.vi.'ImH5030havesaidאָֽמְרוּ֙'a.me.RuH559, thatprophesyהַֽנִּבְּאִ֥יםha.ni.be.'ImH5012liesשֶׁ֖קֶרShe.kerH8267in mynameבִּשְׁמִ֛יbish.MiH8034,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, I havedreamedחָלַ֖מְתִּיcha.Lam.tiH2492, I havedreamedחָלָֽמְתִּי׃cha.La.me.tiH2492.

26Howמָתַ֗יma.TaiH4970longH5704shall this be in theheartבְּלֵ֥בbe.LevH3820of theprophetsהַנְּבִאִ֖יםha.ne.vi.'ImH5030thatprophesyנִבְּאֵ֣יni.be.'EiH5012liesH8267;evenH5704theprophetsוּנְבִיאֵ֖יu.ne.vi.'EiH5030of thedeceitH8267of their ownheartלִבָּֽם׃li.BamH3820?

27whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834thinkהַחֹשְׁבִ֗יםha.cho.she.VimH2803to cause mypeopleעַמִּי֙'a.MiH5971toforgetH7911mynameשְׁמִ֔יshe.MiH8034by theirdreamsבַּחֲל֣וֹמֹתָ֔םba.cha.Lo.mo.TamH2472whichכַּאֲשֶׁ֨רka.'a.SherH834theytellיְסַפְּר֖וּye.sa.pe.RuH5608everyH376manH376to his neighbour, as theirfathersאֲבוֹתָ֛ם'a.vo.TamH1forgat mynameשְׁמִ֖יshe.MiH8034forBaalבַּבָּֽעַל׃ba.Ba.'alH1168.

28Theprophetהַנָּבִ֞יאha.na.Vi'H5030that hath adreamחֲלוֹם֙cha.lOmH2472, let himtellH1696adreamחֲל֔וֹםcha.LomH2472; and he that hath mywordדְּבָרִי֙de.va.RiH1697, let himspeakיְדַבֵּ֥רye.da.BerH1696mywordדְּבָרִ֖יde.va.RiH1697faithfullyאֱמֶ֑ת'e.MetH571.Whatמַה־mah-H4100is thestrawלַתֶּ֥בֶןla.Te.venH8401to thewheatהַבָּ֖רha.BarH1250? saith theLORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

29Isnotהֲל֨וֹאha.Lo'H3808mywordדְבָרִ֛יde.va.RiH1697like asfireכָּאֵ֖שׁka.'EshH784? saith theLORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068; and like ahammerוּכְפַטִּ֖ישׁu.khe.fa.TishH6360that breaketh therockסָֽלַע׃ סSa.la'H5553in pieces?

30Therefore,beholdהִנְנִ֥יhi.NiH2005, I amagainstעַל־'al-H5921theprophetsהַנְּבִאִ֖יםha.ne.vi.'ImH5030, saith theLORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068, thatstealמְגַנְּבֵ֣יme.ga.ne.VeiH1589mywordsדְבָרַ֔יde.va.RaiH1697everyאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376one from his neighbour.

31Beholdהִנְנִ֥יhi.NiH2005, I amagainstעַל־'al-H5921theprophetsהַנְּבִיאִ֖םha.ne.vi.'ImH5030, saith theLORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068, thatuseהַלֹּקְחִ֣יםha.lo.ke.ChimH3947theirtonguesלְשׁוֹנָ֔םle.sho.NamH3956, and say, He saith.

32Beholdהִ֠נְנִיHi.niH2005, I amagainstעַֽל־'al-H5921them thatprophesyנִבְּאֵ֞יni.be.'EiH5012lyingH8267dreamsחֲלֹמ֥וֹתcha.lo.MotH2472, saith theLORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, anddoH6680tellוַֽיְסַפְּרוּם֙vay.sa.pe.RumH5608them, and cause mypeopleעַמִּ֔י'a.MiH5971toerrוַיַּתְע֣וּvai.yat.'UH8582by theirliesH8267, and by theirvainH8267boastingוּבְפַחֲזוּתָ֑םu.ve.fa.cha.zu.TamH6350: yet Isentשְׁלַחְתִּ֜יםshe.lach.TimH7971themnotלֹֽא־lo'-H3808,norוְלֹ֣אve.Lo'H3808commandedH6680them;neitherלֹֽא־lo'-H3808shall theyprofitH3276thispeopleלָֽעָם־la.'om-H5971at all, saith theLORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

33And when thispeopleהָעָ֨םha.'AmH5971, or theprophetהַנָּבִ֤יאha.na.Vi'H5030, or apriestכֹהֵן֙kho.HenH3548, shallaskיִשְׁאָלְךָ֩yish.'a.le.KhaH7592thee,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,Whatמַה־mah-H4100is theburdenמַשָּׂ֖אma.Sa'H4853of theLORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068? then shalt thousayוְאָמַרְתָּ֤ve.'a.mar.TaH559unto them,Whatמַה־mah-H4100burdenמַשָּׂ֔אma.Sa'H4853! I willcastוְנָטַשְׁתִּ֥יve.na.tash.TiH5203youוְכִי־ve.khi-H3588offH853, saith theLORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

34And as for theprophetוְהַנָּבִ֤יאve.ha.na.Vi'H5030, and thepriestוְהַכֹּהֵן֙ve.ha.ko.HenH3548, and thepeopleוְהָעָ֔םve.ha.'AmH5971, that shallsayיֹאמַ֖רyo.MarH559, Theburdenמַשָּׂ֣אma.Sa'H4853of theLORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068, I willevenH5921punishוּפָקַדְתִּ֛יu.fa.kad.TiH6485thatmanהָאִ֥ישׁha.'IshH376and hishouseבֵּיתֽוֹ׃bei.ToH1004.

35Thusכֹּ֥הkohH3541shall yesayתֹאמְר֛וּto.me.RuH559everyאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376one to his neighbour, andeveryוְאִ֣ישׁve.'IshH376one to hisbrotherאָחִ֑יו'a.ChivH251,Whatמֶה־meh-H4100hath theLORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068answeredH559? and,Whatוּמַה־u.mah-H4100hath theLORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068spokenדִּבֶּ֖רdi.BerH1696?
