17For again the Edomitesאֲדוֹמִ֖ים'a.do.MimH130had comeבָּ֑אוּBa.'uH935and smittenוַיַּכּ֥וּvai.ya.KuH5221Judahבִיהוּדָ֖הvi.hu.DahH3063,and carried awayוַיִּשְׁבּוּ־vai.yish.bu-H7617captivesשֶֽׁבִי׃She.viH7628.

19For Yhwhיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068broughtH3665Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063lowH3665because of Ahazאָחָ֣ז'a.ChazH271kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478;for he madeH6544Judahבִּֽיהוּדָ֔הbi.hu.DahH3063nakedH6544,and transgressedH4603soreH4604against Yhwhבַּיהוָֽה׃ba.Yah.wehH3068.

20And Tilgath–pilneserH8407kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֑וּר'a.ShurH804cameוַיָּבֹ֣אvai.ya.Vo'H935unto him, and distressedH6696him, but strengthenedחֲזָקֽוֹ׃cha.za.KoH2388him not.

21For Ahazאָחָז֙'a.ChazH271took away a portionחָלַ֤קcha.LakH2505outof the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, and outof the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428,and of the princesוְהַשָּׂרִ֑יםve.ha.sa.RimH8269,and gaveוַיִּתֵּן֙vai.yi.TenH5414itunto the kingלְמֶ֣לֶךְle.Me.lekhH4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֔וּר'a.ShurH804:but he helpedלְעֶזְרָ֖הle.'ez.RahH5833him not.
