2Then Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֣הshe.lo.MohH8010spakeוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto all Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֡לYis.ra.'ElH3478,to the captainsלְשָׂרֵי֩le.sa.ReiH8269of thousandsהָאֲלָפִ֨יםha.'a.la.FimH505and of hundredsוְהַמֵּא֜וֹתve.ha.me.'otH3967,and to the judgesוְלַשֹּֽׁפְטִ֗יםve.la.sho.fe.TimH8199,and to every governorנָשִׂ֥יאna.Si'H5387in all Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,the chiefרָאשֵׁ֥יra.SheiH7218of the fathersהָאָבֽוֹת׃ha.'a.VotH1.

3So Solomonשְׁלֹמֹה֙she.lo.MohH8010,and all the congregationהַקָּהָ֣לha.ka.HalH6951with him, wentH3212to the high placeלַבָּמָ֖הla.ba.MahH1116that wasat Gibeonבְּגִבְע֑וֹןbe.giv.'onH1391;for there was the tabernacleאֹ֤הֶל'O.helH168of the congregationמוֹעֵד֙mo.'EdH4150of Godהָֽאֱלֹהִ֔יםha.'E.lo.HimH430,which Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872the servantעֶֽבֶד־'e.ved-H5650of Yhwhיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had madeעָשָׂ֛ה'a.SahH6213in the wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃ba.mid.BarH4057.

4Butאֲבָ֗ל'a.ValH61the arkאֲר֤וֹן'a.RonH727of Godהָאֱלֹהִים֙ha.'E.lo.HimH430had Davidדָוִיד֙da.VidH1732brought upהֶעֱלָ֤הhe.'e.LahH5927from Kirjath–jearimH7157to the place whichDavidדָּוִ֑ידda.VidH1732had preparedבַּֽהֵכִ֥יןba.he.KhinH3559for it: for he had pitchedנָֽטָה־na.tah-H5186a tentאֹ֖הֶל'O.helH168for it at Jerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃bi.ru.sha.LimH3389.

5Moreover the brasenהַנְּחֹ֗שֶׁתha.ne.Cho.shetH5178altarוּמִזְבַּ֣חu.miz.BachH4196,that Bezaleelבְּצַלְאֵל֙be.tzal.'ElH1212the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Uriאוּרִ֣י'u.RiH221,the sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Hurח֔וּרChurH2354,had madeעָשָׂה֙'a.SahH6213,he putשָׂ֕םsamH7760beforeלִפְנֵ֖יlif.NeiH6440the tabernacleמִשְׁכַּ֣ןmish.KanH4908of Yhwhיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068:and Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֖הshe.lo.MohH8010and the congregationוְהַקָּהָֽל׃ve.ha.ka.HalH6951soughtוַיִּדְרְשֵׁ֥הוּvai.yid.re.She.huH1875unto it.

6And Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֨הshe.lo.MohH8010went upוַיַּעַל֩vai.ya.'AlH5927thither to the brasenהַנְּחֹ֙שֶׁת֙ha.ne.Cho.shetH5178altarמִזְבַּ֤חmiz.BachH4196beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, which wasat the tabernacleלְאֹ֣הֶלle.'O.helH168of the congregationמוֹעֵ֑דmo.'EdH4150,and offeredוַיַּ֧עַלvai.Ya.'alH5927a thousandאָֽלֶף׃'A.lefH505burnt offeringsעֹל֖וֹתo.LotH5930upon it.

7In that nightבַּלַּ֣יְלָהba.Lay.lahH3915did Godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430appearנִרְאָ֥הnir.'AhH7200unto Solomonלִשְׁלֹמֹ֑הlish.lo.MohH8010,and saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, Askשְׁאַ֖לshe.'AlH7592what I shall giveאֶתֶּן־'e.ten-H5414thee.

8And Solomonשְׁלֹמֹה֙she.lo.MohH8010saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Godלֵֽאלֹהִ֔יםle.lo.HimH430,Thou hast shewedעָשִׂ֛יתָ'a.Si.taH6213greatגָּד֑וֹלga.DolH1419mercyחֶ֣סֶדChe.sedH2617unto Davidדָּוִ֥ידda.VidH1732my fatherאָבִ֖י'a.ViH1,and hast made me to reignוְהִמְלַכְתַּ֖נִיve.him.lakh.Ta.niH4427in his stead.

9Now, O Yhwhיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהִ֔ים'E.lo.HimH430,let thy promiseדְּבָ֣רְךָ֔de.Va.re.khaH1697unto Davidדָּוִ֣ידda.VidH1732my fatherאָבִ֑י'a.ViH1be establishedיֵֽאָמֵן֙ye.'a.MenH539:for thou hast made me kingהִמְלַכְתַּ֔נִיhim.lakh.Ta.niH4427over a peopleעַ֕ם'amH5971like the dustכַּעֲפַ֥רka.'a.FarH6083of the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776in multitudeרַ֖בravH7227.

10Giveתֶּן־ten-H5414me now wisdomחָכְמָ֤הchokh.mahH2451and knowledgeוּמַדָּע֙u.ma.Da'H4093,that I may go outוְאֵֽצְאָ֛הve.'e.tze.'AhH3318and come inוְאָב֑וֹאָהve.'a.Vo.'ahH935beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440this peopleהָֽעָם־ha.'om-H5971:for who can judgeיִשְׁפֹּ֔טyish.PotH8199this thy peopleעַמְּךָ֥'a.me.KhaH5971, that is sogreatהַגָּדֽוֹל׃ סha.ga.DolH1419?

12Wisdomהַֽחָכְמָ֥הha.cha.khe.MahH2451and knowledgeוְהַמַּדָּ֖עve.ham.ma.Da'H4093isgrantedנָת֣וּןna.TunH5414unto thee; and I will giveאֶתֶּן־'e.ten-H5414thee richesוְעֹ֨שֶׁרve.'O.sherH6239,and wealthוּנְכָסִ֤יםu.ne.kha.SimH5233,and honourוְכָבוֹד֙ve.kha.VodH3519,such as none of the kingsלַמְּלָכִים֙la.me.la.KhimH4428have had that have beenbeforeלְפָנֶ֔יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440thee, neither shall there any afterוְאַחֲרֶ֖יךָve.'a.cha.Rei.khaH310thee have the like.

14And Solomonשְׁלֹמֹה֮she.lo.MohH8010gatheredוַיֶּאֱסֹ֣ףvai.ye.'e.SofH622chariotsרֶ֣כֶבRe.khevH7393and horsemenוּפָרָשִׁים֒u.fa.ra.ShimH6571:and he had a thousandאֶ֤לֶף'E.lefH505and fourוְאַרְבַּע־ve.'ar.ba'-H702hundredמֵאוֹת֙me.'OtH3967chariotsרֶ֔כֶבRe.khevH7393,and twelveוּשְׁנֵים־ עָשָׂ֥רu.she.neim- 'a.SarH6240 H8147thousandאֶ֖לֶף'E.lefH505horsemenפָּרָשִׁ֑יםpa.ra.ShimH6571,which he placedH3240in the chariotהָרֶ֔כֶבha.Re.khevH7393citiesבְּעָרֵ֣יbe.'a.ReiH5892,and with the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428at Jerusalemבִּירֽוּשָׁלִָֽם׃bi.Ru.sha.LimH3389.

16And Solomonלִשְׁלֹמֹ֖הlish.lo.MohH8010had horsesהַסּוּסִ֛יםha.su.SimH5483broughtוּמוֹצָ֧אu.mo.Tza'H4161out of Egyptמִמִּצְרָ֑יִםmi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714,and linen yarnוּמִקְוֵ֕אu.mik.Ve'H4723:the king’sהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428merchantsסֹחֲרֵ֣יso.cha.ReiH5503receivedיִקְח֖וּyik.ChuH3947the linen yarnמִקְוֵ֥אmik.Ve'H4723at a priceבִּמְחִֽיר׃bim.ChirH4242.
