2And it came to pass, thatin the fifthהַֽחֲמִישִׁית֙ha.cha.mi.ShitH2549yearבַּשָּׁנָ֤הba.sha.NahH8141of kingלַמֶּ֣לֶךְla.Me.lekhH4428Rehoboamרְחַבְעָ֔םre.chav.'AmH7346Shishakשִׁישַׁ֥קshi.ShakH7895kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Egyptמִצְרַ֖יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714came upעָלָ֛ה'a.LahH5927against Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָ֑םye.ru.sha.LimH3389,because they had transgressedמָעֲל֖וּma.'a.LuH4603against Yhwhבַּיהוָֽה׃ba.Yah.wehH3068,

4And he tookוַיִּלְכֹּ֛דvai.yil.KodH3920the fencedהַמְּצֻר֖וֹתha.me.tzu.RotH4694citiesעָרֵ֥י'a.ReiH5892which pertainedto Judahלִֽיהוּדָ֑הli.hu.DahH3063,and cameוַיָּבֹ֖אvai.ya.Vo'H935to Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ סye.ru.sha.LimH3389.

5Then cameבָּ֣אba'H935Shemaiahוּֽשְׁמַֽעְיָ֤הu.she.ma'.YahH8098the prophetהַנָּבִיא֙ha.na.Vi'H5030to Rehoboamרְחַבְעָ֔םre.chav.'AmH7346, and tothe princesוְשָׂרֵ֣יve.sa.ReiH8269of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063,that were gathered togetherנֶאֶסְפ֥וּne.'es.FuH622to Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֖םye.ru.sha.LimH3389becauseמִפְּנֵ֣יmi.pe.NeiH6440of Shishakשִׁישָׁ֑קshi.ShakH7895,and saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto them, Thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559Yhwhיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,Ye have forsakenעֲזַבְתֶּ֣ם'a.zav.TemH5800me, and therefore have I alsoוְאַף־ve.'af-H637leftעָזַ֥בְתִּי'a.Zav.tiH5800you in the handבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027of Shishakשִׁישָֽׁק׃shi.ShakH7895.

6Whereupon the princesשָׂרֵֽי־sa.rei-H8269of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478and the kingוְהַמֶּ֑לֶךְve.ha.Me.lekhH4428humbledוַיִּכָּנְע֥וּvai.yi.ka.ne.'UH3665themselves; and they saidוַיֹּאמְר֖וּvai.yo.me.RuH559,Yhwhיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068isrighteousצַדִּ֥יק׀tza.DikH6662.

7And when Yhwhיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068sawוּבִרְא֤וֹתu.vir.'otH7200that they humbledנִכְנָ֔עוּnikh.Na.'uH3665themselves, the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of Yhwhיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068came to Shemaiahשְׁמַֽעְיָ֧ה׀she.ma'.YahH8098,sayingלֵאמֹ֛רle.MorH559,They have humbledנִכְנְע֖וּnikh.ne.'UH3665themselves; thereforeI will not destroyאַשְׁחִיתֵ֑ם'ash.chi.TemH7843them, but I will grantוְנָתַתִּ֨יve.na.ta.TiH5414them someכִּמְעַט֙kim.'AtH4592deliveranceלִפְלֵיטָ֔הlif.lei.TahH6413;and my wrathחֲמָתִ֛יcha.ma.TiH2534shall not be poured outתִתַּ֧ךְti.TakhH5413upon Jerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִַ֖םbi.ru.sha.LimH3389by the handבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027of Shishakשִׁישָֽׁק׃shi.ShakH7895.

8Nevertheless they shall be his servantsלַעֲבָדִ֑יםla.'a.va.DimH5650;that they may knowוְיֵדְעוּ֙ve.ye.de.'UH3045my serviceעֲב֣וֹדָתִ֔יa.Vo.da.TiH5656,and the serviceוַעֲבוֹדַ֖תva.'a.vo.DatH5656of the kingdomsמַמְלְכ֥וֹתmam.le.KhotH4467of the countriesהָאֲרָצֽוֹת׃ סha.'a.ra.TzotH776.

9So Shishakשִׁישַׁ֥קshi.ShakH7895kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Egyptמִצְרַיִם֮mitz.ra.YimH4714came upוַיַּ֨עַלvai.Ya.'alH5927against Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַם֒ye.ru.sha.LimH3389,and took awayוַיִּקַּ֞חvai.yi.KachH3947the treasuresאֹצְר֣וֹת'o.tze.RotH214of the houseבֵּית־beit-H1004of Yhwhיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,and the treasuresאֹֽצְרוֹת֙'o.tze.rOtH214of the king’sהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004;he tookלָקָ֑חla.KachH3947all: he carried awayוַיִּקַּח֙vai.yi.KachH3947also the shieldsמָגִנֵּ֣יma.gi.NeiH4043of goldהַזָּהָ֔בha.za.HavH2091which Solomonשְׁלֹמֹֽה׃she.lo.MohH8010had madeעָשָׂ֖ה'a.SahH6213.

10Instead of which kingהַמֶּ֤לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Rehoboamרְחַבְעָם֙re.chav.'AmH7346madeוַיַּ֨עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213shieldsמָגִנֵּ֖יma.gi.NeiH4043of brassנְחֹ֑שֶׁתne.Cho.shetH5178,and committedוְהִפְקִ֗ידve.hif.KidH6485themto the handsיַד֙yadH3027of the chiefשָׂרֵ֣יsa.ReiH8269of the guardהָרָצִ֔יםha.ra.TzimH7323,that keptהַשֹּׁ֣מְרִ֔יםha.Sho.me.RimH8104the entranceפֶּ֖תַחPe.tachH6607of the king’sהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ha.Me.lekhH4428houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004.

11And whenמִדֵּי־mi.dei-H1767the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428enteredב֥וֹאVo'H935into the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Yhwhיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,the guardהָרָצִים֙ha.ra.TzimH7323cameבָּ֤אוּBa.'uH935and fetchedוּנְשָׂא֔וּםu.ne.sa.'UmH5375them, and brought them againוֶהֱשִׁב֖וּםve.he.shi.VumH7725into the guardהָרָצִֽים׃ha.ra.TzimH7323chamberתָּ֥אta'H8372.

12And when he humbledוּבְהִכָּֽנְע֗וֹu.ve.hi.ka.ne.'OH3665himself, the wrathאַף־'af-H639of Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068turnedשָׁ֤בshavH7725from him, that he would not destroyלְהַשְׁחִ֖יתle.hash.ChitH7843himaltogetherלְכָלָ֑הle.kha.LahH3617:and also in Judahבִּֽיהוּדָ֔הbi.hu.DahH3063thingsדְּבָרִ֥יםde.va.RimH1697went wellטוֹבִֽים׃ סto.VimH2896.

14And he didוַיַּ֖עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213evilהָרָ֑עha.Ra'H7451,because he preparedהֵכִין֙he.KhinH3559not his heartלִבּ֔וֹli.BoH3820to seekלִדְר֖וֹשׁlid.Ro.oshH1875Yhwhיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.
