3Then came the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068byבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027Haggaiחַגַּ֥יcha.GaiH2292the prophetהַנָּבִ֖יאha.na.Vi'H5030,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

8Go upעֲל֥וּ'a.LuH5927to the mountainהָהָ֛רha.HarH2022,and bringוַהֲבֵאתֶ֥םva.ha.ve.TemH935woodעֵ֖ץ'etzH6086,and buildוּבְנ֣וּu.ve.NuH1129the houseהַבָּ֑יִתha.Ba.yitH1004;and I will take pleasureוְאֶרְצֶה־ve.'er.tzeh-H7521in it, and I will be glorifiedוְאֶכָּבְדָ֖הve.'e.ka.vedH3513,saithאָמַ֥ר'a.MarH559Yhwhיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

9Ye lookedפָּנֹ֤הpa.NohH6437for muchהַרְבֵּה֙har.BehH7235, and, lo, it cameto littleלִמְעָ֔טlim.'AtH4592;and when ye broughtוַהֲבֵאתֶ֥םva.ha.ve.TemH935ithomeהַבַּ֖יִתha.Ba.yitH1004,I did blowוְנָפַ֣חְתִּיve.na.Fach.tiH5301upon it. 10Therefore the heavenשָמַ֖יִםsha.Ma.yimH8064over you is stayedכָּלְא֥וּkal.'UH3607from dewמִטָּ֑לmi.TalH2919,and the earthוְהָאָ֖רֶץve.ha.'A.retzH776is stayedכָּלְאָ֥הkal.'AhH3607fromher fruitיְבוּלָֽהּ׃ye.vu.LahH2981.

11And I calledוָאֶקְרָ֨אva.'ek.Ra'H7121for a droughtחֹ֜רֶבCho.revH2721upon the landהָאָ֣רֶץha.'A.retzH776,and upon the mountainsהֶהָרִ֗יםhe.ha.RimH2022,and upon the grainהַדָּגָן֙ha.da.GanH1715,and upon the new wineהַתִּיר֣וֹשׁha.ti.Ro.oshH8492,and upon the oilהַיִּצְהָ֔רhai.yitz.HarH3323, and upon thatwhich the groundהָאֲדָמָ֑הha.'a.da.MahH127bringeth forthתּוֹצִ֖יאto.Tzi'H3318,and upon menהָֽאָדָם֙ha.'a.DamH120,and upon cattleהַבְּהֵמָ֔הha.be.he.MahH929,and upon all the labourיְגִ֥יעַye.Gi.a'H3018of the handsכַּפָּֽיִם׃ סka.Pa.yimH3709.
