2And he placedוַיִּ֨תֶּן־vai.Yi.ten-H5414forcesחַ֔יִלCha.yilH2428in all the fencedהַבְּצֻר֑וֹתha.be.tzu.RotH1219citiesעָרֵ֥י'a.ReiH5892of Judahיְהוּדָ֖הye.hu.DahH3063,and setוַיִּתֵּ֤ןvai.yi.TenH5414garrisonsנְצִיבִים֙ne.tzi.VimH5333in the landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063,and in the citiesוּבְעָרֵ֣יu.ve.'a.ReiH5892of Ephraimאֶפְרַ֔יִם'ef.Ra.yimH669,which Asaאָסָ֥א'a.Sa'H609his fatherאָבִֽיו׃'a.VivH1had takenלָכַ֖דla.KhadH3920.

3And Yhwhיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068was with Jehoshaphatיְהוֹשָׁפָ֑טye.ho.sha.FatH3092,because he walkedהָלַ֗ךְha.LakhH1980in the firstהָרִ֣אשֹׁנִ֔יםha.Ri.sho.NimH7223waysבְּדַרְכֵ֞יbe.dar.KheiH1870of his fatherאָבִיו֙'a.VivH1Davidדָּוִ֤ידda.VidH1732,and soughtדָרַ֖שׁda.RashH1875not unto Baalimלַבְּעָלִֽים׃la.be.'a.LimH1168;

4But soughtדָּרָ֔שׁda.RashH1875to the LordGodלֵֽאלֹהֵ֤יle.lo.HeiH430of his fatherאָבִיו֙'a.VivH1,and walkedהָלָ֑ךְha.LakhH1980in his commandmentsוּבְמִצְוֹתָ֖יוu.ve.mitz.vo.TavH4687,and not after the doingsכְּמַעֲשֵׂ֥הke.ma.'a.SehH4639of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

5Therefore Yhwhיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068stablishedוַיָּ֨כֶןvai.Ya.khenH3559the kingdomהַמַּמְלָכָה֙ha.mam.la.KhahH4467in his handבְּיָד֔וֹbe.ya.DoH3027;and all Judahיְהוּדָ֛הye.hu.DahH3063broughtוַיִּתְּנ֧וּvai.yi.te.NuH5414to Jehoshaphatלִיהוֹשָׁפָ֑טli.ho.sha.FatH3092presentsמִנְחָ֖הmin.ChahH4503;and he had richesעֹֽשֶׁר־'o.sher-H6239and honourוְכָב֖וֹדve.kha.VodH3519in abundanceלָרֹֽב׃la.RoH7230.
