2But I have builtבָּנִ֥יתִיba.Ni.tiH1129an houseבֵית־veit-H1004of habitationזְבֻ֖לze.VulH2073for thee, and a placeוּמָכ֥וֹןu.ma.KhonH4349for thy dwellingלְשִׁבְתְּךָ֖le.shiv.te.KhaH3427for everעוֹלָמִֽים׃o.la.MimH5769.

3And the kingהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428turnedוַיַּסֵּ֤בvai.ya.SevH5437his faceפָּנָ֔יוpa.NavH6440,and blessedוַיְבָ֕רֶךְvay.Va.rekhH1288the whole congregationקְהַ֣לke.HalH6951of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478:and all the congregationקְהַ֥לke.HalH6951of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478stoodעוֹמֵֽד׃o.MedH5975.

18But will Godאֱלֹהִ֛ים'E.lo.HimH430in very deedהַֽאֻמְנָ֔םha.'um.NamH552dwellיֵשֵׁ֧בye.ShevH3427with menהָאָדָ֖םha.'a.DamH120on the earthהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776?behold, heavenשָׁמַ֜יִםsha.Ma.yimH8064and the heavenוּשְׁמֵ֤יu.she.MeiH8064of heavensהַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ha.sha.Ma.yimH8064cannot containיְכַלְכְּל֔וּךָye.khal.ke.Lu.khaH3557thee; how much less this houseהַבַּ֥יִתha.Ba.yitH1004which I have builtבָּנִֽיתִי׃ba.Ni.tiH1129!

22If a manאִישׁ֙'ishH376sinיֶחֱטָ֥אye.che.Ta'H2398against his neighbourלְרֵעֵ֔הוּle.re.'E.huH7453,and an oathאָלָ֖ה'a.LahH423be laidוְנָֽשָׁא־ve.na.sha'-H5375upon him to make him swearאָלָ֛ה'a.LahH422,and the oathלְהַֽאֲלֹת֑וֹle.ha.'a.lo.ToH423comeוּבָ֗אu.Va'H935beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440thine altarמִֽזְבַּחֲךָ֖miz.ba.cha.KhaH4196in this houseבַּבַּ֥יִתba.Ba.yitH1004;

23Then hearתִּשְׁמַ֣עtish.Ma'H8085thou from heavenהַשָּׁמַ֗יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,and doוְעָשִׂ֙יתָ֙ve.'a.Si.taH6213,and judgeוְשָׁפַטְתָּ֣ve.sha.fa.TaH8199thy servantsעֲבָדֶ֔יךָ'a.va.Dei.khaH5650,by requitingלְהָשִׁ֣יבle.ha.ShivH7725the wickedלְרָשָׁ֔עle.ra.Sha'H7563,by recompensingלָתֵ֥תla.TetH5414his wayדַּרְכּ֖וֹdar.KoH1870upon his own headבְּרֹאשׁ֑וֹbe.ro.ShoH7218;and by justifyingוּלְהַצְדִּ֣יקu.le.hatz.DikH6663the righteousצַדִּ֔יקtza.DikH6662,by givingלָ֥תֶתLa.tetH5414him according to his righteousnessכְּצִדְקָתֽוֹ׃ סke.tzid.ka.ToH6666.

24And if thy peopleעַמְּךָ֧'a.me.KhaH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לYis.ra.'ElH3478be put to the worseיִנָּגֵ֞ףyi.na.GefH5062beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440the enemyאוֹיֵ֖ב'o.YevH341,because they have sinnedיֶֽחֶטְאוּ־ye.chet.'u-H2398against thee; and shall returnוְשָׁ֙בוּ֙ve.Sha.vuH7725and confessוְהוֹד֣וּve.ho.DuH3034thy nameשְׁמֶ֔ךָshe.Me.khaH8034,and prayוְהִתְפַּֽלְל֧וּve.hit.pa.LuH6419and make supplicationוְהִֽתְחַנְּנ֛וּve.hit.cha.ne.NuH2603beforeלְפָנֶ֖יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440thee in this houseבַּבַּ֥יִתba.Ba.yitH1004;

25Then hearתִּשְׁמַ֣עtish.Ma'H8085thou from the heavensהַשָּׁמַ֔יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,and forgiveוְסָ֣לַחְתָּ֔ve.Sa.lach.taH5545the sinלְחַטַּ֖אתle.cha.TatH2403of thy peopleעַמְּךָ֣'a.me.KhaH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and bring them againוַהֲשֵׁיבוֹתָם֙va.ha.shei.vo.TamH7725unto the landהָ֣אֲדָמָ֔הha.'a.da.MahH127which thou gavestנָתַ֥תָּהna.Ta.tahH5414to them and to their fathersוְלַאֲבֹתֵיהֶֽם׃ פve.la.'a.vo.tei.HemH1.

26When the heavenהַשָּׁמַ֛יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064is shut upבְּהֵעָצֵ֧רbe.he.'a.TzerH6113,and there is no rainמָטָ֖רma.TarH4306,because they have sinnedיֶֽחֶטְאוּ־ye.chet.'u-H2398against thee; yetif they prayוְהִֽתְפַּלְל֞וּve.hit.pa.LuH6419toward this placeהַמָּק֤וֹםha.ma.KomH4725,and confessוְהוֹד֣וּve.ho.DuH3034thy nameשְׁמֶ֔ךָshe.Me.khaH8034,and turnיְשׁוּב֖וּןye.shu.VunH7725from their sinמֵחַטָּאתָ֥םme.cha.ta.TamH2403,when thou dost afflictתַעֲנֵֽם׃ta.'a.NemH6031them;

28If there be dearthרָעָ֞בra.'AvH7458in the landבָאָ֗רֶץva.'A.retzH776,if there be pestilenceדֶּ֣בֶרDe.verH1698,if there be blastingשִׁדָּפ֨וֹןshi.da.FonH7711,or mildewוְיֵרָק֜וֹןve.ye.ra.KonH3420,locustsאַרְבֶּ֤ה'ar.BehH697,or caterpillersוְחָסִיל֙ve.cha.SilH2625;if their enemiesאוֹיְבָ֖יו'oy.VavH341besiegeH6887them in the citiesשְׁעָרָ֑יוshe.'a.RavH8179of their landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776;whatsoever soreנֶ֖גַעNe.ga'H5061or whatsoever sicknessמַחֲלָֽה׃ma.cha.LahH4245there be:
