15When Aaronאַֽהֲרֹן־'a.ha.ron-H175and his sonsוּ֠בָנָיוU.va.navH1121have finishedוְכִלָּ֣הve.khi.LahH3615coveringלְכַסֹּ֨תle.kha.SotH3680the holyהַקֹּ֜דֶשׁha.Ko.deshH6944objectsand allכָּל־kol-H3605the furnishingsכְּלֵ֣יke.LeiH3627of the sanctuaryהַקֹּדֶשׁ֮ha.ko.DeshH6944,when the campהַֽמַּחֲנֶה֒ha.ma.cha.NehH4264is to setבִּנְסֹ֣עַbin.So.a'H5265outH5265,afterוְאַחֲרֵי־ve.'a.cha.rei-H310that the sonsבְנֵי־ve.nei-H1121of Kohathקְהָת֙ke.HatH6955shall comeיָבֹ֤אוּya.Vo.'uH935to carryלָשֵׂ֔אתla.SetH5375them by the poles,so that they will not touchיִגְּע֥וּyi.ge.'UH5060the holyהַקֹּ֖דֶשׁha.Ko.deshH6944objectsand dieוָמֵ֑תוּva.Me.tuH4191.Theseאֵ֛לֶּה'E.lehH428are thethingsH4853in the tentבְּאֹ֥הֶלbe.'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵֽד׃mo.'EdH4150that the sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Kohathקְהָ֖תke.HatH6955are toH4853carryH4853.

16“Now the responsibilityוּפְקֻדַּ֞תu.fe.ku.DatH6486of Eleazarאֶלְעָזָ֣ר׀'el.'a.ZarH499the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Aaronאַהֲרֹ֣ן'a.ha.RonH175the priestהַכֹּהֵ֗ןha.ko.HenH3548isthe oilשֶׁ֤מֶןShe.menH8081for the lightהַמָּאוֹר֙ha.ma.'OrH3974, thefragrantהַסַּמִּ֔יםha.sa.MimH5561incenseוּקְטֹ֣רֶתu.ke.To.retH7004,the continualהַתָּמִ֖ידha.ta.MidH8548grain offeringוּמִנְחַ֥תu.min.ChatH4503, andthe anointingהַמִּשְׁחָ֑הha.mish.ChahH4888oilוְשֶׁ֣מֶןve.She.menH8081--the responsibilityפְּקֻדַּ֗תpe.ku.DatH6486of allכָּל־kol-H3605thetabernacleהַמִּשְׁכָּן֙ha.mish.KanH4908and everythingוְכָל־ve.kholH3605that is in it, with the sanctuaryבְּקֹ֖דֶשׁbe.Ko.deshH6944and its furnishingsוּבְכֵלָֽיו׃ סu.ve.khe.LavH3627.”

17Then the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֣רvay.da.BerH1696to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872and to Aaronאַהֲרֹ֖ן'a.ha.RonH175,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

18“Do not let the tribeשֵׁ֖בֶטShe.vetH7626of the familiesמִשְׁפְּחֹ֣תmish.pe.ChotH4940of the Kohathitesהַקְּהָתִ֑יha.ke.ha.TiH6956be eliminatedתַּכְרִ֕יתוּtakh.Ri.tuH3772from amongמִתּ֖וֹךְmi.TokhH8432the Levitesהַלְוִיִּֽם׃hal.vi.YimH3881.

19Rather, doעֲשׂ֣וּ'a.SuH6213thisH2088for them so that they will liveוְחָיוּ֙ve.cha.YuH2421andnot dieיָמֻ֔תוּya.Mu.tuH4191when they approachבְּגִשְׁתָּ֖םbe.gish.TamH5066the mostקֹ֣דֶשׁKo.deshH6944holyהַקֳּדָשִׁ֑יםha.ko.da.ShimH6944objects:Aaronאַהֲרֹ֤ן'a.ha.RonH175and his sonsוּבָנָיו֙u.va.NavH1121shall goיָבֹ֔אוּya.Vo.'uH935inH935and assignוְשָׂמ֣וּve.sa.MuH7760eachH376of them to his workעֲבֹדָת֖וֹa.vo.da.ToH5656and to his loadמַשָּׂאֽוֹ׃ma.sa.'OH4853;

20butthey shall not comeH935inH935to seeלִרְא֛וֹתlir.'otH7200the holyהַקֹּ֖דֶשׁha.Ko.deshH6944objectseven forH1104aH1104momentH1104,or they will dieוָמֵֽתוּ׃ פva.Me.tuH4191.”
