21“Separateהִבָּ֣דְל֔וּhi.Ba.de.LuH914yourselves from amongמִתּ֖וֹךְmi.TokhH8432thisH2088congregationהָעֵדָ֣הha.'e.DahH5712,so that I may consumeוַאַכַלֶּ֥הva.'a.kha.LehH3615them instantlyכְּרָֽגַע׃ke.Ra.ga'H7281.”

22But they fellוַיִּפְּל֤וּvai.yi.pe.LuH5307on their facesפְּנֵיהֶם֙pe.nei.HemH6440and saidוַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּvai.Yo.me.RuH559, “Godאֵ֕ל'elH410,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of the spiritsהָרוּחֹ֖תha.ru.ChotH7307ofhumanityלְכָל־ בָּשָׂ֑רle.khol ba.SarH3605 H1320,when oneאֶחָד֙'e.ChadH259personהָאִ֤ישׁha.'IshH376sinsיֶחֱטָ֔אye.che.Ta'H2398,will You beH7107angryתִּקְצֹֽף׃ פtik.TzofH7107with the entireכָּל־kol-H3605congregationהָעֵדָ֖הha.'e.DahH5712?”

23Then the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֥רvay.da.BerH1696to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872,sayingלֵּאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

24“Speakדַּבֵּ֥רda.BerH1696to the congregationהָעֵדָ֖הha.'e.DahH5712,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, ‘GetH5927awayH5927from the areasaroundמִסָּבִ֔יבmi.sa.VivH5439thetentsלְמִשְׁכַּן־le.mish.kan-H4908of Korahקֹ֖רַחKo.rachH7141,Dathanדָּתָ֥ןda.TanH1885,and Abiramוַאֲבִירָֽם׃va.'a.vi.RamH48.’”

25Then Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872aroseוַיָּ֣קָםvai.Ya.komH6965and wentוַיֵּ֖לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980to Dathanדָּתָ֣ןda.TanH1885and Abiramוַאֲבִירָ֑םva.'a.vi.RamH48,with the eldersזִקְנֵ֥יzik.NeiH2205of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478followingוַיֵּלְכ֥וּ אַחֲרָ֖יוvai.ye.le.Khu 'a.cha.RavH1980 H310him,

26and he spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֨רvay.da.BerH1696to the congregationהָעֵדָ֜הha.'e.DahH5712,sayingלֵאמֹ֗רle.MorH559, “GetH5493awayס֣וּרוּSu.ruH5493nowנָ֡אna'H4994from the tentsאָהֳלֵ֨י'o.ho.LeiH168of theseהָאֵ֔לֶּהha.'E.lehH428wickedהָֽרְשָׁעִים֙ha.re.sha.'ImH7563menH376,and do not touchתִּגְּע֖וּti.ge.'UH5060anythingבְּכָל־be.kholH3605that belongs to them,orפֶּן־pen-H6435you will be sweptתִּסָּפ֖וּti.sa.FuH5595awayH5595in allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605their sinחַטֹּאתָֽם׃cha.to.TamH2403!”

27So they movedH5927awayH5927from the areasaroundמִסָּבִ֑יבmi.sa.VivH5439thetentsמִשְׁכַּן־mish.kan-H4908of Korahקֹ֛רֶחKo.rechH7141,Dathanדָּתָ֥ןda.TanH1885,and Abiramוַאֲבִירָ֖םva.'a.vi.RamH48;and Dathanוְדָתָ֨ןve.da.TanH1885and Abiramוַאֲבִירָ֜םva.'a.vi.RamH48cameH3318outH3318andstoodנִצָּבִ֗יםni.tza.VimH5324at the entrancesפֶּ֚תַחPe.tachH6607of their tentsאָֽהֳלֵיהֶ֔ם'o.ho.lei.HemH168,along with their wivesוּנְשֵׁיהֶ֥םu.ne.shei.HemH802,their sonsוּבְנֵיהֶ֖םu.ve.nei.HemH1121,and their littleוְטַפָּֽם׃ve.ta.PamH2945onesH2945.

28Then Mosesמֹשֶׁה֒mo.ShehH4872saidוַיֹּאמֶר֮vai.yo.MerH559, “By thisH2088you shall knowתֵּֽדְע֔וּןte.de.'UnH3045thatthe Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068has sentשְׁלָחַ֔נִיshe.la.Cha.niH7971me to doלַעֲשׂ֕וֹתla.'a.SotH6213allכָּל־kol-H3605theseהָאֵ֑לֶּהha.'E.lehH428deedsהַֽמַּעֲשִׂ֖יםha.ma.'a.SimH4639; for it is notmy doingמִלִּבִּֽי׃mi.li.BiH4480 H3820.

29Ifאִם־'im-H518theseH428menH428dieיְמֻת֣וּןye.mu.TunH4191the deathכְּמ֤וֹתke.MotH4194of allכָּל־kol-H3605mankindהָֽאָדָם֙ha.'a.DamH120, orif they sufferיִפָּקֵ֖דyi.pa.KedH6485thefateוּפְקֻדַּת֙u.fe.ku.DatH6486of allכָּל־kol-H3605mankindהָ֣אָדָ֔םha.'a.DamH120, thenthe Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068has not sentשְׁלָחָֽנִי׃she.la.Cha.niH7971me.

30Butifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068bringsH1254aboutH1254an entirelyH1278newH1278thingH1278and the groundהָאֲדָמָ֤הha.'a.da.MahH127opensוּפָצְתָ֨הu.fa.tze.TahH6475its mouthפִּ֙יהָ֙pi.haH6310and swallowsוּבָלְעָ֤הu.val.'AhH1104them with everythingכָּל־kol-H3605that is theirsH1992, and theydescendוְיָרְד֥וּve.ya.re.DuH3381aliveחַיִּ֖יםchai.YimH2416intoSheolשְׁאֹ֑לָהshe.'O.lahH7585,then you will knowוִֽידַעְתֶּ֕םvi.da'.TemH3045that theseהָאֵ֖לֶּהha.'E.lehH428menH376have beenH5006disrespectfulH5006to the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.”

31And as he finishedכְּכַלֹּת֔וֹke.kha.lo.ToH3615speakingלְדַבֵּ֕רle.da.BerH1696allכָּל־kol-H3605theseהָאֵ֑לֶּהha.'E.lehH428wordsהַדְּבָרִ֖יםha.de.va.RimH1697,the groundהָאֲדָמָ֖הha.'a.da.MahH127that was underתַּחְתֵּיהֶֽם׃tach.tei.HemH8478them splitוַתִּבָּקַ֥עva.ti.ba.Ka'H1234openH1234;

32andthe earthהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ha.'A.retzH776openedוַתִּפְתַּ֤חva.tif.TachH6605its mouthפִּ֔יהָPi.haH6310and swallowedוַתִּבְלַ֥עva.tiv.La'H1104them, their householdsבָּתֵּיהֶ֑םba.tei.HemH1004, andallכָּל־kol-H3605the peopleהָאָדָם֙ha.'a.DamH120whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834belonged to Korahלְקֹ֔רַחle.Ko.rachH7141with allכָּל־kol-H3605theirpossessionsהָרֲכֽוּשׁ׃ha.ra.KhushH7399.

33So they and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605that belonged to them wentH3381downוַיֵּ֨רְד֜וּvai.Ye.re.DuH3381aliveחַיִּ֖יםchai.YimH2416toSheolשְׁאֹ֑לָהshe.'O.lahH7585;and the earthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776closedוַתְּכַ֤סva.te.KhasH3680overעֲלֵיהֶם֙'a.lei.HemH5921them, and they perishedוַיֹּאבְד֖וּvai.yoe.DuH6from the midstמִתּ֥וֹךְmi.TokhH8432of the assemblyהַקָּהָֽל׃ha.ka.HalH6951.

34Then allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478whoאֲשֶׁ֛ר'a.SherH834werearoundסְבִיבֹתֵיהֶ֖םse.vi.vo.tei.HemH5439them fledנָ֣סוּNa.suH5127at theiroutcryלְקֹלָ֑םle.ko.LamH6963,for they saidאָֽמְר֔וּ'a.me.RuH559, “The earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776might swallowתִּבְלָעֵ֖נוּtiv.la.'E.nuH1104us!”

35Fireוְאֵ֥שׁve.'EshH784also cameH3318outH3318from the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068and consumedוַתֹּ֗אכַלva.To.khalH398the250הַחֲמִשִּׁ֤ים וּמָאתַ֙יִם֙ha.cha.mi.Shim u.ma.Ta.yimH3967 H2572menאִ֔ישׁ'IshH376who were offeringמַקְרִיבֵ֖יmak.ri.VeiH7126the incenseהַקְּטֹֽרֶת׃ פha.ke.To.retH7004.

36Then the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֥רvay.da.BerH1696to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872,sayingלֵּאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

37“Tellאֱמֹ֨ר'e.MorH559Eleazarאֶלְעָזָ֜ר'el.'a.ZarH499,the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Aaronאַהֲרֹ֣ן'a.ha.RonH175the priestהַכֹּהֵ֗ןha.ko.HenH3548,that he shall pickH7311upH7311the censersהַמַּחְתֹּת֙ha.mach.TotH4289from the midstמִבֵּ֣יןmi.BeinH996of the burnedהַשְּׂרֵפָ֔הha.se.re.FahH8316areaH8316,becauseכִּ֖יkiH3588they areH6942holyקָדֵֽשׁוּ׃ka.De.shuH6942;and you are to scatterזְרֵה־ze.reh-H2219theburningH784coalsH784fartherH1973awayH1973.

38As for the censersמַחְתּוֹת֩mach.tOtH4289of theseהָאֵ֜לֶּהha.'E.lehH428menH2400whoH2400have sinnedH2400at the cost of their own livesבְּנַפְשֹׁתָ֗םbe.naf.sho.TamH5315,have them madeוְעָשׂ֨וּve.'a.SuH6213into hammeredרִקֻּעֵ֤יri.ku.'EiH7555sheetsפַחִים֙fa.ChimH6341as platingצִפּ֣וּיtzi.PuiH6826for the altarלַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַla.miz.Be.achH4196,sinceכִּֽי־ki-H3588they did presentהִקְרִיבֻ֥םhik.ri.VumH7126them beforeלִפְנֵֽי־lif.nei-H6440the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068and they areH6942holyוַיִּקְדָּ֑שׁוּvai.yik.Da.shuH6942; and they shallserveוְיִֽהְי֥וּve.yih.YuH1961as a signלְא֖וֹתle.'otH226to the sonsלִבְנֵ֥יliv.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.”

39So the priestהַכֹּהֵ֗ןha.ko.HenH3548Eleazarאֶלְעָזָ֣ר'el.'a.ZarH499tookוַיִּקַּ֞חvai.yi.KachH3947the bronzeהַנְּחֹ֔שֶׁתha.ne.Cho.shetH5178censersמַחְתּ֣וֹתmach.TotH4289whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834the men who were burnedהַשְּׂרֻפִ֑יםha.se.ru.FimH8313had offeredהִקְרִ֖יבוּhik.Ri.vuH7126,and they hammeredH7554them outH7554as platingצִפּ֥וּיtzi.PuiH6826for the altarלַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃la.miz.Be.achH4196,

40as a reminderזִכָּר֞וֹןzi.ka.RonH2146to the sonsלִבְנֵ֣יliv.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478soלְ֠מַעַןLe.ma.'anH4616thatH4616noH3808laymanאִ֣ישׁ זָ֗ר'ish ZarH376 H2114, anyonewhoH834was not of thedescendantsמִזֶּ֤רַעmi.Ze.ra'H2233of Aaronאַהֲרֹן֙'a.ha.RonH175,would approachיִקְרַ֜בyik.RavH7126to burnלְהַקְטִ֥ירle.hak.TirH6999incenseקְטֹ֖רֶתke.To.retH7004beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068;then he would not becomeיִהְיֶ֤הyih.YehH1961like Korahכְקֹ֙רַח֙khe.Ko.rachH7141and his groupוְכַ֣עֲדָת֔וֹve.Kha.'a.da.ToH5712--justH3512asH3512the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068had spokenדִּבֶּ֧רdi.BerH1696to himthroughבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872.

41But on the nextמִֽמָּחֳרָ֔תmi.mo.cho.RatH4283dayH4283allכָּל־kol-H3605the congregationעֲדַ֤ת'a.DatH5712of the sonsבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478grumbledוַיִּלֹּ֜נוּvai.yi.Lo.nuH3885againstH5921Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872and Aaronאַהֲרֹ֖ן'a.ha.RonH175,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, “You are the ones who have causedH4191the deathH4191of the Lord’sיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068peopleעַ֥ם'amH5971!”

42It cameH1961aboutH1961,however, when the congregationהָֽעֵדָה֙ha.'e.DahH5712had assembledבְּהִקָּהֵ֤לbe.hi.ka.HelH6950againstH5921Mosesמֹשֶׁ֣הmo.ShehH4872and Aaronאַהֲרֹ֔ן'a.ha.RonH175,that they turnedוַיִּפְנוּ֙vai.yif.NuH6437towardאֶל־'el-H413the tentאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֔דmo.'EdH4150,and beholdוְהִנֵּ֥הve.hi.NehH2009,the cloudהֶעָנָ֑ןhe.'a.NanH6051coveredכִסָּ֖הוּkhi.Sa.huH3680it andthe gloryכְּב֥וֹדke.VodH3519of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068appearedוַיֵּרָ֖אvai.ye.Ra'H7200.

43Then Mosesמֹשֶׁה֙mo.ShehH4872and Aaronוְאַהֲרֹ֔ןve.'a.ha.RonH175cameוַיָּבֹ֤אvai.ya.Vo'H935to the frontפְּנֵ֖יpe.NeiH6440of the tentאֹ֥הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵֽד׃ פmo.'EdH4150,

44and the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֥רvay.da.BerH1696to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872,sayingלֵּאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

45“GetH7426awayH7426from amongמִתּוֹךְ֙mi.toKhH8432thisH2088congregationהָעֵדָ֣הha.'e.DahH5712so that I may consumeוַאֲכַלֶּ֥הva.'a.kha.LehH3615them instantlyכְּרָ֑גַעke.Ra.ga'H7281.”Then they fellוַֽיִּפְּל֖וּvai.yi.pe.LuH5307on their facesפְּנֵיהֶֽם׃pe.nei.HemH6440.
