5We rememberזָכַ֙רְנוּ֙za.Khar.nuH2142the fishהַדָּגָ֔הha.da.GahH1710whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834we used to eatנֹאכַ֥לno.KhalH398forH2600freeH2600in Egyptבְּמִצְרַ֖יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714,the cucumbersהַקִּשֻּׁאִ֗יםha.ki.shu.'ImH7180,the melonsהָֽאֲבַטִּחִ֔יםha.'a.va.ti.ChimH20,the leeksהֶחָצִ֥ירhe.cha.TzirH2682,the onionsהַבְּצָלִ֖יםha.be.tza.LimH1211,and the garlicהַשּׁוּמִֽים׃ha.shu.MimH7762;

6but nowוְעַתָּ֛הve.'a.TahH6258ourappetiteנַפְשֵׁ֥נוּnaf.She.nuH5315is goneיְבֵשָׁ֖הye.ve.ShahH3002.ThereH369isH369nothingH369at allכֹּ֑לKolH3605to lookעֵינֵֽינוּ׃'ei.Nei.nuH5869at exceptבִּלְתִּ֖יbil.TiH1115this mannaהַמָּ֥ןha.ManH4478!”

7Now the mannaוְהַמָּ֕ןve.ha.ManH4478was like corianderגַּ֖דgadH1407seedכִּזְרַע־kiz.ra'-H2233,and its appearanceH5869like that ofbdelliumהַבְּדֹֽלַח׃ha.be.Do.lachH916.

8The peopleהָעָ֨םha.'AmH5971would roamH7751aboutH7751and gatherוְלָֽקְט֜וּve.la.ke.TuH3950itand grindוְטָחֲנ֣וּve.ta.cha.NuH2912itbetween two millstonesבָרֵחַ֗יִםva.re.Cha.yimH7347,orא֤וֹ'oH176poundדָכוּ֙da.KhuH1743itin the mortarבַּמְּדֹכָ֔הba.me.do.KhahH4085,and boilוּבִשְּׁלוּ֙u.vi.she.LuH1310itin the potבַּפָּר֔וּרba.pa.RurH6517and makeוְעָשׂ֥וּve.'a.SuH6213loavesעֻג֑וֹתu.GotH5692with it; and its tasteטַעְמ֔וֹta'.MoH2940was like the tasteכְּטַ֖עַםke.Ta.'amH2940ofcakeלְשַׁ֥דle.ShadH3955baked withoilהַשָּֽׁמֶן׃ha.Sha.menH8081.

9When the dewהַטַּ֛לha.TalH2919cameH3381downH3381on the campהַֽמַּחֲנֶ֖הha.ma.cha.NehH4264at nightלָ֑יְלָהLa.ye.lahH3915,the mannaהַמָּ֖ןha.ManH4478would comeH3381downH3381with it.

10Now Mosesמֹשֶׁ֜הmo.ShehH4872heardוַיִּשְׁמַ֨עvai.yish.Ma'H8085the peopleהָעָ֗םha.'AmH5971weepingבֹּכֶה֙bo.KhehH1058throughout their familiesלְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֔יוle.mish.pe.cho.TavH4940,eachH376oneH376at the entranceלְפֶ֣תַחle.Fe.tachH6607of his tentאָהֳל֑וֹ'o.ho.LoH168;and the angerאַ֤ף'afH639of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068becameH2734veryמְאֹ֔דme.'OdH3966hotH2734, andMosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872was displeasedוּבְעֵינֵ֥י רָֽע׃u.ve.'ei.Nei Ra'H7489 H5869.

11So Mosesמֹשֶׁ֜הmo.ShehH4872saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068, “Whyלָמָ֤הla.MahH4100have YoubeenH7489so hardH7489on Your servantלְעַבְדֶּ֔ךָle.'av.De.khaH5650?And whyוְלָ֛מָּהve.La.mahH4100have I not foundמָצָ֥תִיma.Tza.tiH4672favorחֵ֖ןchenH2580in Your sightבְּעֵינֶ֑יךָbe.'ei.Nei.khaH5869,that You have putלָשׂ֗וּםla.SumH7760the burdenמַשָּׂ֛אma.Sa'H4853of allכָּל־kol-H3605thisהַזֶּ֖הha.ZehH2088peopleהָעָ֥םha.'AmH5971on me?

15So ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518You are going to dealעֹ֣שֶׂה'O.sehH6213with me thisH3602wayH3602,pleaseנָא֙na'H4994killהָרְגֵ֤נִיha.re.Ge.niH2026me nowהָרֹ֔גha.RogH2026,ifאִם־'im-H518I have foundמָצָ֥אתִיma.Tza.tiH4672favorחֵ֖ןchenH2580in Your sightבְּעֵינֶ֑יךָbe.'ei.Nei.khaH5869,and do not let me seeאֶרְאֶ֖ה'er.'EhH7200my miseryH7463.”
