16The Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068therefore saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֗הmo.ShehH4872, “Gatherאֶסְפָה־'es.fah-H622for Meseventyשִׁבְעִ֣יםshiv.'ImH7657menאִישׁ֮'ishH376from the eldersמִזִּקְנֵ֣יmi.zik.NeiH2205of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֒Yis.ra.'ElH3478,whomאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834you knowיָדַ֔עְתָּya.Da'.taH3045to be the eldersזִקְנֵ֥יzik.NeiH2205of the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971and their officersוְשֹׁטְרָ֑יוve.sho.te.RavH7860,and bringוְלָקַחְתָּ֤ve.la.kach.TaH3947them to the tentאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֔דmo.'EdH4150,and have them takeH3320their standH3320thereשָׁ֖םshamH8033with you.

17Then I will comeוְיָרַדְתִּ֗יve.ya.rad.TiH3381downH3381and speakוְדִבַּרְתִּ֣יve.di.bar.TiH1696with you thereשָׁם֒shamH8033,and I will takeH680awayH680someמִן־min-H4480ofthe Spiritהָר֛וּחַha.Ru.achH7307whoאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834is upon you, and putוְשַׂמְתִּ֣יve.sam.TiH7760Himupon them; and they shall bearוְנָשְׂא֤וּve.na.se.'UH5375the burdenבְּמַשָּׂ֣אbe.ma.Sa'H4853of the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971with you, so that you will not bearתִשָּׂ֥אti.Sa'H5375itbyH905yourselfH905.

18And you shall sayתֹּאמַ֜רto.MarH559to the peopleהָעָ֨םha.'AmH5971, ‘Consecrateהִתְקַדְּשׁ֣וּhit.ka.de.ShuH6942yourselves for tomorrowלְמָחָר֮le.ma.CharH4279,and you shall eatוַאֲכַלְתֶּ֣םva.'a.khal.TemH398meatבָּשָׂר֒ba.SarH1320;for you have weptבְּכִיתֶם֩be.khi.TemH1058in the earsבְּאָזְנֵ֨יbe.'a.ze.NeiH241of the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068,sayingלֵאמֹ֗רle.MorH559, “OhH4310that someoneH4310would give us meatבָּשָׂ֔רba.SarH1320to eatיַאֲכִלֵ֙נוּ֙ya.'a.khi.Le.nuH398!For we were well-offט֥וֹבTovH2895in Egyptבְּמִצְרָ֑יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714.”Therefore the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068will giveוְנָתַ֨ןve.na.TanH5414you meatבָּשָׂ֖רba.SarH1320and you shall eatוַאֲכַלְתֶּֽם׃va.'a.khal.TemH398.

19You shall eatתֹּאכְל֖וּןtokh.LunH398,not oneאֶחָ֛ד'e.ChadH259dayי֥וֹםYomH3117,norH3808two daysיוֹמָ֑יִםyo.Ma.yimH3117,norH3808fiveחֲמִשָּׁ֣הcha.mi.ShahH2568daysיָמִ֗יםya.MimH3117,norH3808tenעֲשָׂרָ֣ה'a.sa.RahH6235daysיָמִ֔יםya.MimH3117,norH3808twentyעֶשְׂרִ֥ים'es.RimH6242daysיֽוֹם׃YomH3117,

20but for a wholeיָמִ֗יםya.MimH3117monthחֹ֣דֶשׁCho.deshH2320,untilאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H5704 H834it comesH3318outH3318of your noseמֵֽאַפְּכֶ֔םme.'a.pe.KhemH639andmakesוְהָיָ֥הve.ha.YahH1961you nauseatedלְזָרָ֑אle.za.Ra'H2214;becauseיַ֗עַן כִּֽי־Ya.'an ki-H3282 H3588you have rejectedמְאַסְתֶּ֤םme.'as.TemH3988the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834is amongבְּקִרְבְּכֶ֔םbe.kir.be.KhemH7130you and have weptוַתִּבְכּ֤וּva.tiv.KuH1058beforeלְפָנָיו֙le.fa.NavH6440Him, sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “Whyלָ֥מָּהLa.mahH4100did we everזֶּ֖הzehH2088leaveH3318 H4480Egyptמִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃mi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714?”’”

21But Mosesמֹשֶׁה֒mo.ShehH4872saidוַיֹּאמֶר֮vai.yo.MerH559, “The peopleהָעָ֕םha.'AmH5971,amongבְּקִרְבּ֑וֹbe.kir.BoH7130whomאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834I am included,are sixשֵׁשׁ־shesh-H8337hundredמֵא֥וֹתme.'otH3967thousandאֶ֙לֶף֙'e.lefH505on footרַגְלִ֔יrag.LiH7273!Yet You have saidאָמַ֗רְתָּ'a.Mar.taH559, ‘I will giveאֶתֵּ֣ן'e.TenH5414them meatבָּשָׂר֙ba.SarH1320,so that they may eatוְאָכְל֖וּve.'a.khe.LuH398for a wholeיָמִֽים׃ya.MimH3117monthחֹ֥דֶשׁCho.deshH2320.’

22Are flocksהֲצֹ֧אןha.TzonH6629and herdsוּבָקָ֛רu.va.KarH1241to be slaughteredיִשָּׁחֵ֥טyi.sha.ChetH7819for them, so that it will beH4672sufficientH4672for them? Orאִ֣ם'imH518are allכָּל־kol-H3605the fishדְּגֵ֥יde.GeiH1709of the seaהַיָּ֛םhai.YamH3220to becaughtיֵאָסֵ֥ףye.'a.SefH622for them, so that it will beH4672sufficientH4672for them?”

23Then the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872, “Isthe Lord’sיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068powerהֲיַ֥דha.YadH3027tooH7114littleH7114?Nowעַתָּ֥ה'a.TahH6258you shall seeתִרְאֶ֛הtir.'EhH7200whetherMy wordדְבָרִ֖יde.va.RiH1697willcomeH7136trueH7136for you orאִם־'im-H518not.”

24So Mosesמֹשֶׁ֗הmo.ShehH4872wentH3318outH3318andtoldוַיְדַבֵּר֙vay.da.BerH1696the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971the wordsדִּבְרֵ֣יdiv.ReiH1697of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068.He also gatheredוַיֶּאֱסֹ֞ףvai.ye.'e.SofH622seventyשִׁבְעִ֥יםshiv.'ImH7657menאִישׁ֙'ishH376of the eldersמִזִּקְנֵ֣יmi.zik.NeiH2205of the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971,and positionedוַֽיַּעֲמֵ֥דvai.ya.'a.MedH5975them aroundסְבִיבֹ֥תse.vi.VotH5439the tentהָאֹֽהֶל׃ha.'O.helH168.

25Then the Lordיְהוָ֥ה׀Yah.wehH3068cameH3381downוַיֵּ֨רֶדvai.Ye.redH3381in the cloudבֶּעָנָן֮be.'a.NanH6051and spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֣רvay.da.BerH1696to him; and He tookH680awayH680someמִן־min-H4480of the Spiritהָר֙וּחַ֙ha.Ru.achH7307whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834was upon him and placedוַיִּתֵּ֕ןvai.yi.TenH5414Himupon the seventyשִׁבְעִ֥יםshiv.'ImH7657eldersאִ֖ישׁ הַזְּקֵנִ֑ים'ish ha.ze.ke.NimH376 H2205.And when the Spiritהָר֔וּחַha.Ru.achH7307restedכְּנ֤וֹחַke.No.achH5117upon them, they prophesiedוַיִּֽתְנַבְּא֖וּvai.yit.na.be.'UH5012.Yet they did not doH3254itagainH3254.
