1“Nowוְעַתָּ֣הve.'a.TahH6258,Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478,listenשְׁמַ֤עshe.Ma'H8085to the statutesהַֽחֻקִּים֙ha.chu.KimH2706and the judgmentsהַמִּשְׁפָּטִ֔יםha.mish.pa.TimH4941whichאֲשֶׁ֧ר'a.SherH834I am teachingמְלַמֵּ֥דme.la.MedH3925you to performלַעֲשׂ֑וֹתla.'a.SotH6213,soלְמַ֣עַןle.Ma.'anH4616thatH4616you will liveתִּֽחְי֗וּtich.YuH2421and goוּבָאתֶם֙u.va.TemH935inH935and takeוִֽירִשְׁתֶּ֣םvi.rish.TemH3423possessionH3423of the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776whichאֲשֶׁ֧ר'a.SherH834the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of your fathersאֲבֹתֵיכֶ֖ם'a.vo.tei.KhemH1,is givingנֹתֵ֥ןno.TenH5414you.

2You shall not addתֹסִ֗פוּto.Si.fuH3254to the wordהַדָּבָר֙ha.da.VarH1697whichאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834I am commandingמְצַוֶּ֣הme.tza.VehH6680you, norH3808takeH1639awayH1639from it, so that you may keepלִשְׁמֹ֗רlish.MorH8104the commandmentsמִצְוֹת֙mitz.VotH4687of the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֔ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834I am commandingמְצַוֶּ֥הme.tza.VehH6680you.

3Your eyesעֵֽינֵיכֶם֙'ei.nei.KhemH5869have seenהָֽרֹאֹ֔תha.ro.'OtH7200whatאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068has doneעָשָׂ֥ה'a.SahH6213in the case of Baal-peorH1187,for allכָל־khol-H3605the menהָאִ֗ישׁha.'IshH376whoאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834followedהָלַךְ֙ אַחֲרֵ֣יha.laKh 'a.cha.ReiH1980 H310Baal-peorH1187,the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430has destroyedהִשְׁמִיד֛וֹhish.mi.DoH8045them from amongמִקִּרְבֶּֽךָ׃mi.kir.Be.chaH7130you.

4But you who clungהַדְּבֵקִ֔יםha.de.ve.KimH1695to the Lordבַּיהוָ֖הba.Yah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430are aliveחַיִּ֥יםchai.YimH2416todayהַיּֽוֹם׃hai.YomH3117,everyH3605oneH3605of you.

5“Seeרְאֵ֣ה׀re.'EhH7200,I have taughtלִמַּ֣דְתִּיli.Mad.tiH3925you statutesחֻקִּים֙chu.KimH2706and judgmentsוּמִשְׁפָּטִ֔יםu.mish.pa.TimH4941justH3512asH3512the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068my Godאֱלֹהָ֑י'e.lo.HaiH430commandedצִוַּ֖נִיtzi.Va.niH6680me, that you are to doלַעֲשׂ֣וֹתla.'a.SotH6213theseH3651thingsH3651in the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776whereשָׁ֖מָּהSha.mahH834 H8033you are enteringבָּאִ֥יםba.'ImH935to takeלְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃le.rish.TahH3423possessionH3423of it.

6So keepוּשְׁמַרְתֶּם֮u.she.mar.TemH8104and doוַעֲשִׂיתֶם֒va.'a.si.TemH6213them,for that is your wisdomחָכְמַתְכֶם֙cha.khe.mat.KhemH2451and your understandingוּבִ֣ינַתְכֶ֔םu.Vi.nat.KhemH998in the sightלְעֵינֵ֖יle.'ei.NeiH5869of the peoplesהָעַמִּ֑יםha.'a.MimH5971whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834will hearיִשְׁמְע֗וּןyish.me.'UnH8085allכָּל־kol-H3605theseהָאֵ֔לֶּהha.'E.lehH428statutesהַחֻקִּ֣יםha.chu.KimH2706and sayוְאָמְר֗וּve.'a.me.RuH559, ‘SurelyH7534thisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088greatהַגָּד֖וֹלha.ga.DolH1419nationהַגּ֥וֹיha.GoyH1471is a wiseחָכָ֣םcha.KhamH2450and understandingוְנָב֔וֹןve.na.VonH995peopleעַם־'am-H5971.’

7Forwhatמִי־mi-H4310greatגָּד֔וֹלga.DolH1419nationג֣וֹיGoyH1471is therethat has a godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430so nearקְרֹבִ֣יםke.ro.VimH7138to it as is the Lordכַּיהוָ֣הka.Yah.wehH3068our Godאֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ'e.lo.Hei.nuH430wheneverבְּכָל־be.kholH3605we callקָרְאֵ֖נוּka.re.'E.nuH7121on Him?

8Or whatוּמִי֙u.MiH4310greatגָּד֔וֹלga.DolH1419nationגּ֣וֹיGoyH1471is there that hasstatutesחֻקִּ֥יםchu.KimH2706and judgmentsוּמִשְׁפָּטִ֖יםu.mish.pa.TimH4941as righteousצַדִּיקִ֑םtza.di.KimH6662as thisH2088wholeכְּכֹל֙ke.KholH3605Lawהַתּוֹרָ֣הha.to.RahH8451whichH834I am settingנֹתֵ֥ןno.TenH5414beforeלִפְנֵיכֶ֖םlif.nei.KhemH6440you todayהַיּֽוֹם׃hai.YomH3117?

10Rememberthe dayי֗וֹםYomH3117you stoodעָמַ֜דְתָּ'a.Mad.taH5975beforeלִפְנֵ֨יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶיךָ֮'e.lo.hei.KhaH430at Horebבְּחֹרֵב֒be.cho.RevH2722,when the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidבֶּאֱמֹ֨רbe.'e.MorH559to me, ‘Assembleהַקְהֶל־hak.hel-H6950the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971to Me, that I may have them hearוְאַשְׁמִעֵ֖םve.'ash.mi.'EmH8085My wordsדְּבָרָ֑יde.va.RaiH1697soH834thatH834they may learnיִלְמְד֜וּןyil.me.DunH3925tofearלְיִרְאָ֣הle.yir.'AhH3372Me allכָּל־kol-H3605the daysהַיָּמִים֙hai.ya.MimH3117that they liveחַיִּים֙chai.YimH2416on the earthהָ֣אֲדָמָ֔הha.'a.da.MahH127, and that they mayteachיְלַמֵּדֽוּן׃ye.la.me.DunH3925their childrenבְּנֵיהֶ֖םbe.nei.HemH1121.’

11You cameH7126forwardH7126and stoodוַתַּֽעַמְד֖וּןva.ta.'am.DunH5975atH8478theH8478footH8478ofH8478the mountainהָהָ֑רha.HarH2022,and the mountainוְהָהָ֞רve.ha.HarH2022was burningבֹּעֵ֤רbo.'ErH1197with fireבָּאֵשׁ֙ba.'EshH784to the heartלֵ֣בlevH3820of the heavensהַשָּׁמַ֔יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064:darknessחֹ֖שֶׁךְCho.shekhH2822,cloudעָנָ֥ן'a.NanH6051,and thickוַעֲרָפֶֽל׃va.'a.ra.FelH6205gloomH6205.

12Then the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֧רvay.da.BerH1696to you from the midstמִתּ֣וֹךְmi.TokhH8432of the fireהָאֵ֑שׁha.'EshH784;you heardשֹׁמְעִ֔יםsho.me.'ImH8085the soundק֤וֹלKolH6963of wordsדְּבָרִים֙de.va.RimH1697,but you sawרֹאִ֖יםro.'ImH7200noאֵינְכֶ֥ם'ein.KhemH369formוּתְמוּנָ֛הu.te.mu.NahH8544--there wasonlyזוּלָתִ֥יzu.la.TiH2108a voiceקֽוֹל׃KolH6963.

13So He declaredוַיַּגֵּ֨דvai.ya.GedH5046to you His covenantבְּרִית֗וֹbe.ri.ToH1285whichאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834He commandedצִוָּ֤הtzi.VahH6680you to performלַעֲשׂ֔וֹתla.'a.SotH6213, that is,the Tenעֲשֶׂ֖רֶת'a.Se.retH6235Commandmentsהַדְּבָרִ֑יםha.de.va.RimH1697; andHe wroteוַֽיִּכְתְּבֵ֔םvai.yikh.te.VemH3789them on twoשְׁנֵ֖יshe.NeiH8147tabletsלֻח֥וֹתlu.ChotH3871of stoneאֲבָנִֽים׃'a.va.NimH68.
