9“Whenכִּ֤יkiH3588you enterבָּ֣אba'H935the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430is givingנֹתֵ֣ןno.TenH5414you, you shall not learnתִלְמַ֣דtil.MadH3925toimitateלַעֲשׂ֔וֹתla.'a.SotH6213the detestableH8441thingsH8441of thoseהָהֵֽם׃ha.HemH1992nationsהַגּוֹיִ֥םha.go.YimH1471.

10There shall not be foundיִמָּצֵ֣אyi.ma.Tze'H4672among you anyonewho makes his sonבְּנֽוֹ־be.nov-H1121or his daughterוּבִתּ֖וֹu.vi.ToH1323passמַעֲבִ֥ירma.'a.VirH5674through the fireבָּאֵ֑שׁba.'EshH784,one who usesקֹסֵ֣םko.SemH7080divinationקְסָמִ֔יםke.sa.MimH7081, asoothsayerמְעוֹנֵ֥ןme.'o.NenH6049,one who interpretsH5172omensH5172,or a sorcererוּמְכַשֵּֽׁף׃u.me.kha.ShefH3784,

11or one who castsוְחֹבֵ֖רve.cho.VerH2266a spellחָ֑בֶרCha.verH2267,or a mediumוְשֹׁאֵ֥ל אוֹב֙ve.sho.'El 'OvH7592 H178,or a spiritistוְיִדְּעֹנִ֔יve.yi.de.'o.NiH3049,or one who consultsוְדֹרֵ֖שׁve.do.ReshH1875the deadהַמֵּתִֽים׃ha.me.TimH4191.

12For whoeverכָּל־kol-H3605doesעֹ֣שֵׂה'O.sehH6213theseH428thingsH428is detestableH8441to the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068; andbecauseוּבִגְלַל֙u.vig.LalH1558of theseH428detestableH8441thingsH8441the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430is going to driveH3423them outH3423beforeמִפָּנֶֽיךָ׃mi.pa.Nei.khaH6440you.

13You are to be blamelessתָּמִ֣יםta.MimH8549beforeעִ֖ם'imH5973the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ ס'e.lo.Hei.khaH430.

14For theseהָאֵ֗לֶּהha.'E.lehH428nationsהַגּוֹיִ֣םha.go.YimH1471,whichאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834you are going to dispossessיוֹרֵ֣שׁyo.ReshH3423,listenיִשְׁמָ֑עוּyish.Ma.'uH8085tosoothsayersמְעֹנְנִ֥יםme.'o.ne.NimH6049and divinersקֹסְמִ֖יםko.se.MimH7080,but as for you, the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃'e.lo.Hei.khaH430has not allowedנָ֛תַןNa.tanH5414you to dosoכֵ֔ןKhenH3651.

15“The Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430will raiseיָקִ֥יםya.KimH6965upH6965for you a prophetנָבִ֨יאna.Vi'H5030likeכָּמֹ֔נִיka.Mo.niH3644me from amongמִקִּרְבְּךָ֤mi.kir.be.ChaH7130you, from your countrymenמֵאַחֶ֙יךָ֙me.'a.Chei.khaH251;to him you shall listenתִּשְׁמָעֽוּן׃tish.ma.'UnH8085.

16This isin accordance with everythingכְּכֹ֨לke.KholH3605that you askedשָׁאַ֜לְתָּsha.'Al.taH7592of the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙'e.lo.Hei.khaH430at Horebבְּחֹרֵ֔בbe.cho.RevH2722on the dayבְּי֥וֹםbe.YomH3117of the assemblyהַקָּהָ֖לha.ka.HalH6951,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, ‘Do not let me hearלִשְׁמֹ֙עַ֙lish.Mo.a'H8085the voiceקוֹל֙kOlH6963of the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068my Godאֱלֹהָ֔י'e.lo.HaiH430againאֹסֵ֗ף'o.SefH3254,and do not let me seeאֶרְאֶ֥ה'er.'EhH7200thisH2088greatהַגְּדֹלָ֥הha.ge.do.LahH1419fireהָאֵ֨שׁha.'EshH784anymoreע֖וֹדodH5750,orH3808I will dieאָמֽוּת׃'a.MutH4191!’

17Andthe Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to me, ‘They havespokenדִּבֵּֽרוּ׃di.Be.ruH1696wellהֵיטִ֖יבוּhei.Ti.vuH3190.

18I will raiseאָקִ֥ים'a.KimH6965upH6965for them a prophetנָבִ֨יאna.Vi'H5030from amongמִקֶּ֥רֶבmi.Ke.revH7130their countrymenאֲחֵיהֶ֖ם'a.chei.HemH251likeכָּמ֑וֹךָka.Mo.khaH3644you, andI will putוְנָתַתִּ֤יve.na.ta.TiH5414My wordsדְבָרַי֙de.va.RaiH1697in his mouthבְּפִ֔יוbe.FivH6310, andhe shall speakוְדִבֶּ֣רve.di.BerH1696to them everythingכָּל־kol-H3605that I commandאֲצַוֶּֽנּוּ׃'a.tzav.Ve.nuH6680him.

19And it shall comeH1961aboutH1961that whoeverהָאִישׁ֙ אֲשֶׁ֤רha.'Ish 'a.SherH376 H834does not listenיִשְׁמַע֙yish.Ma'H8085to My wordsדְּבָרַ֔יde.va.RaiH1697whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834he speaksיְדַבֵּ֖רye.da.BerH1696in My nameבִּשְׁמִ֑יbish.MiH8034,I Myselfאָנֹכִ֖י'a.no.KhiH595willrequireאֶדְרֹ֥שׁ'ed.RoshH1875it of him.

20But the prophetהַנָּבִ֡יאha.na.Vi'H5030whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834speaksלְדַבֵּ֨רle.da.BerH1696a wordדָּבָ֜רda.VarH1697presumptuouslyיָזִיד֩ya.ZidH2102in My nameבִּשְׁמִ֗יbish.MiH8034, a wordwhichאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834I have not commandedצִוִּיתִיו֙tzi.vi.TivH6680him to speakלְדַבֵּ֔רle.da.BerH1696, orwhichוַאֲשֶׁ֣רva.'a.SherH834he speaksיְדַבֵּ֔רye.da.BerH1696in the nameבְּשֵׁ֖םbe.ShemH8034of otherאֲחֵרִ֑ים'a.che.RimH312godsאֱלֹהִ֣ים'E.lo.HimH430,that prophetהַנָּבִ֥יאha.na.Vi'H5030shall dieוּמֵ֖תu.MetH4191.’

21And ifוְכִ֥יve.KhiH3588you sayתֹאמַ֖רto.MarH559in your heartבִּלְבָבֶ֑ךָbil.va.Ve.khaH3824, ‘HowH351will we recognizeנֵדַ֣עne.Da'H3045the wordהַדָּבָ֔רha.da.VarH1697whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068has not spokenדִבְּר֖וֹdi.be.RoH1696?’

22Whenאֲשֶׁר֩'a.SherH834the prophetהַנָּבִ֜יאha.na.Vi'H5030speaksיְדַבֵּ֨רye.da.BerH1696in the nameבְּשֵׁ֣םbe.ShemH8034of the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,and the thingהַדָּבָר֙ha.da.VarH1697does not happenיִהְיֶ֤הyih.YehH1961or comeיָב֔וֹאya.Vo'H935true,that is the thingהַדָּבָ֔רha.da.VarH1697whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068has not spokenדִבְּר֖וֹdi.be.RoH1696.The prophetהַנָּבִ֔יאha.na.Vi'H5030has spokenדִּבְּר֣וֹdi.be.RoH1696itpresumptuouslyבְּזָדוֹן֙be.za.dOnH2087;you are not to be afraidתָג֖וּרta.GurH1481of him.
