8“Ifכִּ֣יkiH3588a caseדָבָ֜רda.VarH1697isH6381tooמִמְּךָ֨mi.me.KhaH4480difficultיִפָּלֵא֩yi.pa.Le'H6381for you to decideלַמִּשְׁפָּ֗טla.mish.PatH4941,betweenבֵּֽין־bein-H996one kind of homicideדָּ֨ם׀damH1818or anotherלְדָ֜םle.DamH1818,betweenבֵּֽין־bein-H996one kind of lawsuitדִּ֣יןdinH1779or anotherלְדִ֗יןle.DinH1779,and betweenוּבֵ֥יןu.VeinH996one kind of assaultנֶ֙גַע֙ne.ga'H5061or anotherלָנֶ֔גַעla.Ne.ga'H5061, that arecasesדִּבְרֵ֥יdiv.ReiH1697of disputeרִיבֹ֖תri.VotH7379in yourcourtsבִּשְׁעָרֶ֑יךָbish.'a.Rei.khaH8179,then you shall ariseוְקַמְתָּ֣ve.kam.TaH6965and goוְעָלִ֔יתָve.'a.Li.taH5927upH5927tothe placeהַמָּק֔וֹםha.ma.KomH4725whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430choosesיִבְחַ֛רyiv.CharH977.

9So you shall comeוּבָאתָ֗u.va.TaH935tothe Leviticalהַלְוִיִּ֔םhal.vi.YimH3881priestsהַכֹּהֲנִים֙ha.ko.ha.NimH3548or the judgeהַשֹּׁפֵ֔טha.sho.FetH8199whoאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834is in officein thoseהָהֵ֑םha.HemH1992daysבַּיָּמִ֣יםbai.ya.MimH3117,and you shall inquireוְדָרַשְׁתָּ֙ve.da.rash.TaH1875of themand they will declareוְהִגִּ֣ידוּve.hi.Gi.duH5046to you theverdictדְּבַ֥ר הַמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃de.Var ha.mish.PatH1697 H4941.

10Then you shall actוְעָשִׂ֗יתָve.'a.Si.taH6213inH5921accordanceH5921withH5921thetermsפִּ֤יpiH6310of the verdictהַדָּבָר֙ha.da.VarH1697whichH834they declareיַגִּ֣ידֽוּya.Gi.duH5046to you from that placeהַמָּק֣וֹםha.ma.KomH4725whichH834the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068choosesיִבְחַ֣רyiv.CharH977;and you shall beH8104carefulH8104to actלַעֲשׂ֔וֹתla.'a.SotH6213in accordance with everythingכְּכֹ֖לke.KholH3605that they instructיוֹרֽוּךָ׃yo.Ru.khaH3384you to do.

11InH5921accordanceH5921withH5921thetermsפִּ֨יpiH6310of the lawהַתּוֹרָ֜הha.to.RahH8451about whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834they instructיוֹר֗וּךָyo.Ru.khaH3384you, and inH5921accordanceH5921withH5921the verdictהַמִּשְׁפָּ֛טha.mish.PatH4941whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834they tellיַגִּ֥ידֽוּya.Gi.duH5046you, you shall actתַּעֲשֶׂ֑הta.'a.SehH6213;you shall not turnתָס֗וּרta.SurH5493asideH5493from the wordהַדָּבָ֛רha.da.VarH1697whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834they declareH5046to you, to the rightיָמִ֥יןya.MinH3225or the leftוּשְׂמֹֽאל׃u.se.MolH8040.

12But the personוְהָאִ֞ישׁve.ha.'IshH376whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834actsיַעֲשֶׂ֣הya.'a.SehH6213insolentlyבְזָד֗וֹןve.za.DonH2087by not listeningשְׁמֹ֤עַshe.Mo.a'H8085to the priestהַכֹּהֵן֙ha.ko.HenH3548who standsהָעֹמֵ֞דha.'o.MedH5975thereשָׁם֙shamH8033to serveלְשָׁ֤רֶתle.Sha.retH8334the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430,norא֖וֹ'oH176to the judgeהַשֹּׁפֵ֑טha.sho.FetH8199,that personהָאִ֣ישׁha.'IshH376shall dieוּמֵת֙u.MetH4191;so you shall eliminateוּבִֽעַרְתָּ֥u.vi.'ar.TaH1197the evilהָרָ֖עha.Ra'H7451from Israelמִיִּשְׂרָאֵֽל׃mi.Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

13Then allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971will hearיִשְׁמְע֣וּyish.me.'UH8085and beH3372afraidH3372,and will not actיְזִיד֖וּןye.zi.DunH2102insolentlyH2102againעֽוֹד׃ סodH5750.

14“Whenכִּֽי־ki-H3588you enterתָבֹ֣אta.Vo'H935the landהָאָ֗רֶץha.'A.retzH776whichאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙'e.lo.Hei.khaH430is givingנֹתֵ֣ןno.TenH5414you, and youtakeוִֽירִשְׁתָּ֖הּvi.rish.TahH3423possessionH3423of it and liveוְיָשַׁ֣בְתָּהve.ya.Shav.tahH3427in it, and you sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֗ve.'a.mar.TaH559, ‘I will appointאָשִׂ֤ימָה'a.Si.mahH7760a kingמֶ֔לֶךְMe.lekhH4428overעָלַי֙'a.LaiH5921me like allכְּכָל־ke.khol-H3605the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֖םha.go.YimH1471whoאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834are aroundסְבִיבֹתָֽי׃se.vi.vo.TaiH5439me,’

Onefrom amongמִקֶּ֣רֶבmi.Ke.revH7130your countrymenאַחֶ֗יךָ'a.Chei.KhaH251you shall appointH7760as kingמֶ֔לֶךְMe.lekhH4428overעָלֶ֙יךָ֙'a.Lei.khaH5921yourselves; you mayתוּכַ֗לtu.KhalH3201not putלָתֵ֤תla.TetH5414a foreignerנָכְרִ֔יna.khe.RiH5237overעָלֶ֙יךָ֙'a.Lei.khaH5921yourselves, anyonewhoאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834is not your countrymanאָחִ֖יךָ'a.Chi.khaH251.

16InH7534anyH7534caseH7534,he is not to acquireH7235manyH7235horsesסוּסִים֒su.SimH5483for himself, norH3808shall hemake the peopleהָעָם֙ha.'AmH5971returnיָשִׁ֤יבya.ShivH7725to Egyptמִצְרַ֔יְמָהmitz.Ray.mahH4714inH4616orderH4616toH4616acquireH7235manyH7235horsesס֑וּסSusH5483, sincethe Lordוַֽיהוָה֙va.Yah.wehH3068has saidאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559to you, ‘You shall neverעֽוֹד׃odH3808 H5750againתֹסִפ֗וּןto.si.FunH3254returnלָשׁ֛וּבla.ShuvH7725that wayבַּדֶּ֥רֶךְba.De.rekhH1870.’

17Andhe shall not acquireH7235manyH7235wivesנָשִׁ֔יםna.ShimH802for himself, so that his heartלְבָב֑וֹle.va.VoH3824does not turnיָס֖וּרya.SurH5493awayH5493;norH3808shall he greatlyמְאֹֽד׃me.'OdH3966increaseH7235silverוְכֶ֣סֶףve.Khe.sefH3701and goldוְזָהָ֔בve.za.HavH2091for himself.

18“Now it shall comeH1961aboutH1961,when he sitsכְשִׁבְתּ֔וֹkhe.shiv.ToH3427on the throneכִּסֵּ֣אki.Se'H3678of his kingdomמַמְלַכְתּ֑וֹmam.lakh.ToH4467,that he shall writeוְכָ֨תַבve.Kha.tavH3789for himself a copyמִשְׁנֵ֨הmish.NehH4932of thisH2088Lawהַתּוֹרָ֤הha.to.RahH8451on a scrollסֵ֔פֶרSe.ferH5612in the presenceמִלִּפְנֵ֥יmi.lif.NeiH6440of the Leviticalהַלְוִיִּֽם׃hal.vi.YimH3881priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֖יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548.

19And it shall be with him, and he shall readוְקָ֥רָאve.Ka.ra'H7121itallכָּל־kol-H3605the daysיְמֵ֣יye.MeiH3117of his lifeH2425,soלְמַ֣עַןle.Ma.'anH4616thatH4616he will learnיִלְמַ֗דyil.MadH3925to fearלְיִרְאָה֙le.yir.'AhH3372the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068his Godאֱלֹהָ֔יו'e.lo.HavH430,by carefullyלִ֠שְׁמֹרLish.morH8104followingלַעֲשֹׂתָֽם׃la.'a.so.TamH6213allכָּל־kol-H3605the wordsדִּבְרֵ֞יdiv.ReiH1697of thisH2088Lawהַתּוֹרָ֥הha.to.RahH8451and theseהָאֵ֖לֶּהha.'E.lehH428statutesהַחֻקִּ֥יםha.chu.KimH2706,
