9Davidדָוִד֙da.VidH1732attackedוְהִכָּ֤הve.hi.KahH5221the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776and did not leaveH2421a manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376or a womanוְאִשָּׁ֑הve.'i.ShahH802aliveH2421, and hetookוְלָקַח֩ve.la.KachH3947the sheepצֹ֨אןtzonH6629,the cattleוּבָקָ֜רu.va.KarH1241,the donkeysוַחֲמֹרִ֤יםva.cha.mo.RimH2543,the camelsוּגְמַלִּים֙u.ge.ma.LimH1581,and the clothingוּבְגָדִ֔יםu.ve.ga.DimH899.Then he returnedוַיָּ֖שָׁבvai.Ya.shovH7725and cameוַיָּבֹ֥אvai.ya.Vo'H935to Achishאָכִֽישׁ׃'a.KhishH397.

10Now Achishאָכִ֔ישׁ'a.KhishH397saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “WhereH575did youcarryH6584outH6584anH6584attackH6584todayהַיּ֑וֹםhai.YomH3117?”And Davidדָּוִ֗דda.VidH1732saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Againstעַל־'al-H5921theNegevנֶ֤גֶבNe.gevH5045of Judahיְהוּדָה֙ye.hu.DahH3063,againstוְעַל־ve.'al-H5921theNegevנֶ֣גֶבNe.gevH5045ofthe Jerahmeelitesהַיַּרְחְמְאֵלִ֔יhai.yar.che.me.'e.LiH3397,and againstH413theNegevנֶ֖גֶבNe.gevH5045ofthe Kenitesהַקֵּינִֽי׃ha.kei.NiH7017.”

11And Davidדָוִ֗דda.VidH1732did not leaveH2421a manוְאִ֨ישׁve.'IshH376or a womanוְאִשָּׁ֜הve.'i.ShahH802aliveH2421to bringלְהָבִ֥יאle.ha.Vi'H935to Gathגַת֙gatH1661,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “Otherwiseפֶּן־pen-H6435they will tellיַגִּ֥דוּya.Gi.duH5046aboutעָלֵ֖ינוּ'a.Lei.nuH5921us, sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, ‘ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541Davidדָוִד֙da.VidH1732has doneעָשָׂ֤ה'a.SahH6213,and thisH3541has beenhis practiceמִשְׁפָּט֔וֹmish.pa.ToH4941allכָּל־kol-H3605the timeהַ֨יָּמִ֔יםhai.ya.MimH3117that he has livedיָשַׁ֖בya.ShavH3427in the countryבִּשְׂדֵ֥הbis.DehH7704of the Philistinesפְלִשְׁתִּֽים׃fe.lish.TimH6430.’”
