40Therefore the 1angerH639 of the LordH3068 was kindledH2734 against His peopleH5971 And He 2abhorredH8581 His 34inheritanceH5159.41Then 5He gaveH5414 them into the handH3027 of the 6nationsH1471, And thoseH1992 who hatedH8130 them ruledH4910 over them.42Their enemiesH340 also 7oppressedH3905 them, And they were subduedH3665 underH8478 their 8powerH3027.43ManyH7227 timesH6471 He would 9deliverH5337 them; They, however, were rebelliousH4784 in their 10counselH6098, And so 11sankH4355 downH4355 in their iniquityH5771.
44Nevertheless He lookedH7200 upon their distressH6862 When He 12heardH8085 their cryH7440;45And He 13rememberedH2142 His covenantH1285 for their sake, And 1415relentedH5162 16according to the greatnessH7230 of His lovingkindnessH2617.46He also madeH5414 them 17objects of compassionH7356 In the presenceH6440 of allH3605 their captorsH7617.
