John 16:1-7

1“1TheseG3778 thingsG3778 I have spokenG2980 to you soG2443 that you may be keptG3361 from 2stumblingG4624. 2 3They will 4makeG4160 you outcastsG656 from the synagogueG656, but 5an hourG5610 is comingG2064 for everyoneG3956 6who killsG615 you to thinkG1380 that he is offeringG4374 serviceG2999 to GodG2316. 3TheseG3778 thingsG3778 they will doG4160 7becauseG3754 they have not knownG1097 the FatherG3962 orG3761 Me. 4But theseG3778 thingsG3778 I have spokenG2980 to you, 8soG2443 that whenG3752 their hourG5610 comesG2064, you 9may rememberG3421 that I toldG3004 you of them. TheseG3778 thingsG3778 I did not sayG3004 to you 10at the beginningG746, becauseG3754 I was with you.

5“But nowG3568 11I am goingG5217 to Him who sentG3992 Me; and noneG3762 of you asksG2065 Me, ‘12WhereG4226 are You goingG5217?’ 6But becauseG3754 I have saidG2980 theseG3778 thingsG3778 to you, 13sorrowG3077 has filledG4137 your heartG2588. 7But I tellG3004 you the truthG225, it is to your advantageG4851 that I goG565 awayG565; for ifG1437 I do not goG565 awayG565, the 14 15HelperG3875 will not comeG2064 to you; but ifG1437 I goG4198, 16I will sendG3992 Him to you.
