Deuteronomy 32:15-35
15“1But 2JeshurunH3484 grewH8080 fatH8080 and kickedH1163-- You are grownH8080 fatH8080, thickH5666, and sleekH3780-- 3Then he forsookH5203 GodH433 4who madeH6213 him, And scornedH5034 5the RockH6697 of his salvationH3444.166They madeH7065 Him jealousH7065 with strangeH2114 gods; 7With abominationsH8441 they provokedH3707 Him to angerH3707.178They sacrificedH2076 to demonsH7700 who were not GodH433, 9To godsH430 whom they have not knownH3045, 10NewH2319 gods who cameH935 latelyH7138, Whom your fathersH1 did not dreadH8175.18You neglectedH7876 11the RockH6697 who begotH3205 you, 12And forgotH7911 the GodH410 who gaveH2342 you birthH2342.
19“13The LordH3068 sawH7200 this, and spurnedH5006 them 14BecauseH4480 of the provocationH3708 of His sonsH1121 and daughtersH1323.20Then He saidH559, ‘I will hideH5641 My faceH6440 from them, 15I will seeH7200 whatH4100 their endH319 shall be; 16For they are a perverseH8419 generationH1755, 17SonsH1121 in whom is noH3808 faithfulnessH529.2118They have madeH7065 Me jealousH7065 with what is not GodH410; They have provokedH3707 Me to angerH3707 with their 1920idolsH1892. 21So I will make them jealousH7065 with those who are not a peopleH5971; I will provokeH3707 them to angerH3707 with a foolishH5036 nationH1471,2222For a fireH784 is kindledH6919 in My angerH639, And burnsH3344 to the lowestH8482 partH8482 of 23SheolH7585, 24And consumesH398 the earthH776 with its yieldH2981, And setsH3857 on fireH3857 the foundationsH4144 of the mountainsH2022.
23‘25I will heapH5595 misfortunesH7463 on them; 26I will useH3615 My arrowsH2671 on them.2427They will be wastedH4198 by famineH7458, and consumedH3898 by 28plagueH7565 29And bitterH4815 destructionH6986; 30And the teethH8127 of beastsH929 I will sendH7971 upon them, 31With the venomH2534 of crawlingH2119 thingsH2119 of the dustH6083.2532OutsideH4480H2351 the swordH2719 will bereaveH7921, And insideH4480H2315 terrorH367-- 33BothH1571 youngH970 manH970 and virginH1330, The nurslingH3243 with the manH376 of grayH7872 hairH7872.26I would have saidH559, “34I will cutH6284 them to piecesH6284, 35I will removeH7673 the memoryH2143 of them from menH582,”27Had I not fearedH1481 the provocationH3708 by the enemyH340, That their adversariesH6862 would misjudgeH5235, That they would sayH559, “36Our handH3027 is 37triumphantH7311, And the LordH3068 has not doneH6466 allH3605 thisH2088.”’
28“38For they are a nationH1471 39lackingH6 in counselH6098, And thereH369 is noH369 understandingH8394 in them.2940WouldH3863 that they were wiseH2449, that they understoodH7919 thisH2088, 41That they would discernH995 their 42futureH319!3043HowH351 could oneH259 chaseH7291 a thousandH505, And twoH8147 putH5127 tenH7233 thousandH7233 to flightH5127, UnlessH518H3808H3588 their 44RockH6697 had soldH4376 them, And the LordH3068 had givenH5462 them up?31IndeedH3588 their rockH6697 is not like our RockH6697, 45Even our enemiesH340 46themselves judgeH6414 this.32For their vineH1612 is from the vineH1612 of SodomH5467, And from the fieldsH7709 of GomorrahH6017; Their grapesH6025 are grapesH6025 of 47poisonH7219, Their clustersH811, bitterH4846.33Their wineH3196 is the venomH2534 of 48serpentsH8577, And the 49deadlyH393 poisonH7219 of cobrasH6620.
34‘50Is it not laidH3647 up in storeH3647 with Me, SealedH2856 up in My treasuriesH214?3551VengeanceH5359 is Mine, and retributionH8005, 52In due timeH6256 their footH7272 will slipH4131; 53For the dayH3117 of their calamityH343 is nearH7138, And the impendingH6264 thingsH6264 are hasteningH2363 upon them.’
