Deuteronomy 32:15-35
15“1But 2JeshurunH3484 becameH8080 fatH8080 and kickedH1163-- You have becomeH8080 fatH8080, thickH5666, and obstinateH3780-- 3Then he abandonedH5203 GodH433 4who madeH6213 him, And 5rejectedH5034 6the RockH6697 of his salvationH3444.167They madeH7065 Him jealousH7065 with strangeH2114 gods; 8With abominationsH8441 they provokedH3707 Him toH3707 angerH3707.179They sacrificedH2076 to demonsH7700, who were not GodH433, 10To godsH430 whom they have not knownH3045, 11NewH2319 gods who cameH935 latelyH4480H7138, Whom your fathersH1 did not knowH8175.18You forgotH5382 12the RockH6697 who fatheredH3205 you, 13And forgotH7911 the GodH410 who gaveH2342 you birthH2342.
19“14The LordH3068 sawH7200 this, and spurnedH5006 them 15BecauseH4480 of the provocationH3708 by His sonsH1121 and daughtersH1323.20Then He saidH559, ‘I will hideH5641 My faceH6440 from them, 16I will seeH7200 whatH4100 their endH319 will be; 17For they are a perverseH8419 generationH1755, 18SonsH1121 in whom there is noH3808 faithfulnessH529.2119They have madeH7065 Me jealousH7065 with what is not GodH410; They have provokedH3707 Me toH3707 angerH3707 with their 2021idolsH1892. 22So I will makeH7065 them jealousH7065 with those who are not a peopleH5971; I will provokeH3707 them toH3707 angerH3707 with a foolishH5036 nationH1471,2223For a fireH784 has flaredH6919 in My angerH639, And it burnsH3344 to the lowestH8482 partH8482 of 24SheolH7585, 25And devoursH398 the earthH776 with its yieldH2981, And setsH3857 onH3857 fireH3857 the foundationsH4144 of the mountainsH2022.
23‘26I will addH3254 misfortunesH7463 to them; 27I will useH3615 upH3615 My arrowsH2671 on them.2428They will be wastedH4198 by famineH7458, and emaciatedH3898 by 29plagueH7565 30And a bitterH4815 epidemicH6986; 31And the teethH8127 of beastsH929 I will sendH7971 against them, 32With the venomH2534 of crawlingH2119 thingsH2119 of the dustH6083.2533OutsideH4480H2351 the swordH2719 will makeH7921 them childlessH7921, And insideH4480H2315, terrorH367-- 34BothH1571 youngH970 manH970 and virginH1330, The nursingH3243 childH3243 with the manH376 of grayH7872 hairH7872.26I would have saidH559, “35I will wipeH6284 them outH6284, 36I will removeH7673 the mentionH2143 of 37their name from humanityH582,”27Had I not fearedH1481 the provocationH3708 by the enemyH340, That their adversariesH6862 would misjudgeH5235, That they would sayH559, “38Our handH3027 isH7311 39triumphantH7311, And the LordH3068 has not performedH6466 allH3605 thisH2088.”’
28“40For they are a nationH1471 41destituteH6 of counselH6098, And thereH369 isH369 noH369 understandingH8394 in them.2942IfH3863 onlyH3863 they wereH2449 wiseH2449 and they understoodH7919 thisH2088; 43If only they would discernH995 their 44futureH319!3045HowH351 could oneH259 chaseH7291 a thousandH505, And twoH8147 putH5127 tenH7233 thousandH7233 toH5127 flightH5127, UnlessH518H3808H3588 their 46RockH6697 had soldH4376 them, And the LordH3068 had givenH5462 them upH5462?31IndeedH3588, their rockH6697 is not like our RockH6697; 47Even our enemiesH340 48themselves judgeH6414 this.32For their vineH1612 is from the vineH1612 of SodomH5467, And from the fieldsH7709 of GomorrahH6017; Their grapesH6025 are grapesH6025 of 49poisonH7219, Their clustersH811, bitterH4846.33Their wineH3196 is the venomH2534 of 50serpentsH8577, And the 51deadlyH393 poisonH7219 of vipersH6620.
34‘52Is it not storedH3647 upH3647 with Me, SealedH2856 upH2856 in My treasuriesH214?3553VengeanceH5359 is Mine, and retributionH8005; 54In due timeH6256 their footH7272 will slipH4131. 55For the dayH3117 of their disasterH343 is nearH7138, And the impendingH6264 thingsH6264 are hurryingH2363 to them.’
